I had a problem with my jaw for over a year. I was referred to Dr G and she was excellent. She was very caring and took time to explain what was happening. An excellent surgeon!

I worked in the medical field for 8 years before chronic illness robbed me of everything. My dad a dr mom an NP. Dr Giannakopolos is one of a dying breed. U r in the best hands from start to finish. From office to OR and I don’t just pick any doctor working in an OR myself. The care she gives the amazing work she has done for me prior authorizations and everything bc I also don’t have the best insurance either and she has MEVER treated me less than EVER. it’s like going to see your best friend and u feel like u r in the best hands. She was 45 minutes late to my own appointment. She said she "lost track of time" while lecturing her students at Penn. I drove two hours away to see her, so that was not really a good sign. She rushed my appointment as well and didn't listen to me when I told her where my pain was. I left with the left side of my jaw still in pain from TMJ. After the treatment, she abruptly left the room, and no one told me where to go or what to do. I didn't even realize I was finished! I do not recommend her at all.

Been seeing Dr. G for almost two years. She has guided me in the right choice of medical options for my TMJ and open bite side effect from a previous surgery in NY where I live. I just had surgery from her on Monday everything went as planned and now just have to follow her orders. She did one part the Issues related to TMJ and a genioplasty and Dr.Carrasco did the orthognathic part. Totally amazing doctors they were both so thorough and explained everything to us. They both reach out and discussed the case with my NY prosthodontist and explain the procedure to him as well. Both doctors are the best in their field. University of Philadelphia Oral Maxillary Dept is truly the best!! I would highly recommend them.!!!!

Too many times messages left unanswered when health was in serious jeopardy. After numerous cranio-facial Botox injections to relieve muscle pain, I had a VERY serious reaction & fell unconscious. She never returned my calls after I recovered. After a surgery, I suffered in horrific pain -- again, no return calls. Resident called & gave the worst advice possible, & I became MUCH more ill! Lastly, during surgery, septum was deviated & tooth broken off. Never documented in notes/never reimbursed

KIND AND PROFESSIONAL WITH MY 12 YEAR OLD WHO WAS VERY NEVEROUS.
