I went to Dr. Townsend for 10 months. I was prescribed 1 type of medication. Methotrexate. I waited 4 months for my initial appointment. On my next to last appointment I was given the day before Thanksgiving as my appointment date. I thought it was strange but didn't argue. The day before my appointment I was called and asked to come several hours early the nurses wanted to go home early to cook. I did as requested. Dr. Townsend looked at my labs said they were OK and that he was willing to prescribe me one more type of medication (since the Methotrexate wasn't working) after that he would have to send me to a specialist. My only reply was I though you were a specialist. Frustrated and angry I left his office in tears that day and he knew it. In my opinion he was too concerned over catching covid to be able to take care of his patients. 9 months with no answers and 1 type of medication. Complete waste of time that I could of spent getting honest answers and real help. I went to Dr. Townsend for 10 months. I was prescribed 1 type of medication. Methotrexate. Dr. Townsend is what every physician should be. He listens (respectful), he explains the medical Issues (knowledgeable), he forms and explains a plan (caring), he has a gentle spirit (worthy of trust).
Dr.Townsend is an amazing doctor. His attentiveness to his patients is so out of the ordinary for this day. He has changed my life and has been the only doctor out of about ten to actually help me with my psoriatic arthritis. His nurse, Nicole, is also wonderful. He works with a couple of great nurse practitioners also.
Have been seeing Dr. Townsend for several years and I can say he has truly changed my life. The entire office is kind and friendly. I have recommended him to several people who agree. They do not make doctors like him anymore! Excellent physician and an outstanding man!!!
Dr. Townsend is so thorough and patient. He explains everything in a way I can understand and truly cares about his patients. Highly recommend him!
