Dr. Howard Kenneth Herman

My husband and I were thoroughly impressed by Dr Herman's expertise, knowledge and kind demeanor. His front desk staff, however, have the worst attitudes and treated us like we were a total burden. Just rude and miserable sort of people!

Oh my stars…. I legit could give a MILLION stars to Sweet sweet Dr.Herman!!!!!! He not only was the friendliest, but I describe him to people as the “Disney world doctor”!!!! Incredibley kind, helpful, & calming!!!!! I would more than EVER recommend him & his most incredible team!!!!????????????

Great customer service and great professionalism with staff.

Dr. Herman was very personal in his approach when dealing with me which put me at ease. He explained my nose problem to me to my understanding. He smiled a lot and will engage you in conversation which takes your mind off your problem until he snapped my fractured nose back in place, but by then, problem solved, nose realigned. It's been almost 3 weeks and my nose is just about healed. I really enjoyed my visit with him. He is very professional and knowledgeable and gave me some advice when I asked him, that was not part of the reason I came to him. I would highly recommend him. Great Doctor!!! The doctor and office are efficient, and detailed . I was examined quickly , the the doctor told me to follow him , to get some “scans” . It had been a long time since I had a CT scan and this machine looked like the panoramic x-Ray machine at the dentist. Plus the whole walk to the room , scans, and explanation that I had a cyst ( not sure what kind , but maybe that Google search when I got home helped) that I was told that any other surgeon would want to remove , but that he didn’t think was necessary, then glossed over , in favor of talking about the surgery he did recommend . He performed my turbinate reduction surgery in 2013, he recommended another surgery. This whole process , including walk back to the exam room , took all of 15 minutes! What I didn’t know was that the “scans”, were a CT scan and that I had a $500 insurance deductible . When we walked back from imaging . The doctor handed me a hand -written note from the nurse , that said $314,. He handed it to me and said , “you have a deductible , it hasn’t been met , so this is what you owe for today “! and he proceeded with the rest of his recommendations ???? Just be aware that one , he will be very detailed about his recommendations 2. It will probably involve some type of surgical procedure in my case 3. The surgery will always be more detailed, involved and process of recovery than indicated . 4.Remember he is a surgeon , and you will have to go through the process of recovery , no matter how “easy” , “routine” or “quick the surgery may be . Just because it’s nasal doesn’t mean that it’s not significant , so remember do what is right for you ????and ask to be made aware of any out-of-pocket cost for test etc before they are performed . The actual appointment with Dr Herman was fine, however his office was to do a referral to Emory. It took 5 attempts and a week before they were finally able to get it sent correctly to them. A very frustrating process so say the least. Left multiple voicemails trying in an attempt to get the referral corrected in a timely fashion but they were very unresponsive. Staff nice enough but that’s where the good ended. Pretty much ignored the idea of trying to find a problem that could maybe be addressed or really even listening to me at all. I felt as if they are there to push hearing aids and that’s about it. Easy listening music to fix the tinnitus I’ve had for years? ???????????????? Come on. If I could get my money back I would. Sorry. Felt it was total ripoff except for getting my ears tested. Oh I forgot, it started with a bait and switch type deal too. The doctor I originally called and scheduled for, you know, the one with all the accreditation’s, experience and is still on their website? Yeah that one? Oh, he’s retired. Dr Herman is a great doctor. His staff, however, needs to implement processes and procedures to ensure that patients receive proper care.

Dr. Herman is terrific. The only issue I'm having is receiving my test results.

doctor explain very well detail information. Easy to understand. Feel confident to use this doctor for surgery.
