Great, knowledgeable, dedicated, highly professional doctor. Been bringing my father to him for many years. If it wouldn’t be for him, my dad would be blind by now. On the other note- when leaving the review for the doctor don’t leave review based on how long your wait was -totally agree long wait is annoying, but it’s not the docs fault.

When I first met Dr. Kushnick, he was eager to rush me to surgery despite my eye pressure now being under control with eye drops for years now. A large down-payment was required before surgery, despite my A+ primary and secondary insurances. Notes are pasted all around the check in area about co-pays, penalties for non-payment, and the like. Once the staff couldn't find my file after an hour wait. And on more than one occasion, the staff ordered the wrong prescription. They continue to send me automated phone calls, even though I left the practice over a year ago. I would not recommend this practice. Barely says a word to me. Whispers everything to his assistant. Did laser procedure on my eye for a secondary cataract. On follow up, I complained that the vision in that eye was no better, and perhaps worse, yet he said absolutely nothing. Whole visit lasted less than 5 minutes, and he said nothing of note the whole time.

Honestly if I could give this man a “0” I would. Let me tell you my experience with him. I have been taking my brother to him for years. My brother is handicapped, born with cerebral palsy, had cataract surgery in both eyes very young, his retina detached in one eye when he was about 12 years old resulting in him being legally blind in that eye. He is still independent for the most part, a remarkable guy to anyone who knows him but he does have glaucoma in his one good eye and Dr Kushnick has been his doctor for many years . He recently referred him to Wills Eye Hospital because his pressure kept going up and his drops didn’t appear to be working anymore. We went to Wills Eye Hospital this week and they are doing surgery on his eye on Tuesday. We will travel from the Lehigh valley to Wills on Tuesday, then again on Wednesday for the next day check up and then he will need to be seen one week after surgery. The Wills eye doctor said it is absolutely fine for his post op appointment to be with his regular Glaucoma doctor, Dr Kushnick, so that we don’t need to travel to Philly again. I called Dr Kushnick’s office today and to my utter surprise and disappointment, DR KUSHNICK refused to do the follow up. I called Wills eye and they too can’t believe a doctor would be that unprofessional. Needless to say we will be looking for a new glaucoma doctor in the Lehigh Valley. Wills eye is going to recommend one. I honestly never thought much of Kushnick, as he has zero personality, bed size manner, or professionalism, but until today I didn’t realize what a disgrace he was to his profession. I love Dr Kushnick he's very knowledgeable. But I have called the office many times & the phone is never picked upand when I leave a message to be called back I never get a call back. It is very frustrating when I have to go to the office to find out when my appt. is.

ONLYY CONCERN IS THAT ANSWERING PHONE QUICK ENOUGH, ALWAYS WAITNG FROM 45MIN TO 1 HR AND THIS IS UNEXCEPTABLE TRYING TO MAKE OR CONFIRMING APPTS. IT THERE ANYONE TO ANSWER CALLS. CAUSE WHEN ONE IS AT THE OFFICE THERE'S PLENTY OF STAFF WALKING AROUND AND TALKING, SO HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE NOT TO ANWER CALLS.

I have high regard for Dr. Kushnick & his assistants. But I was decidedly very unhappy with the staff behind the intake/outgo reception desk. Their attitudes need improvement, big time! I miss the old staff, before the merger. The new people are arrogant, run the desk like a bus station, and treat the seniors like they're annoyed that they have to deal with us. My appointment today, 8/27/2020, was rescheduled from 8/24/2020 because it got cancelled somehow. When I arrived there today, I was told that I didn't have an appointment! When I read my note about my conversation with Kate to Ms. Tattoo, all of a sudden, I was going to be allowed to keep the appt since I was there already anyway. I resent the fact that no one behind the desk smiles and makes people feel welcome. They use "you" a lot instead of names. A couple of them including Ms. Tattoo, the major domo?, were making catty remarks about a co-worker as though I wasn't right there listening. Someone needs to change!

This dr is well known for a glaucoma diagnosis. My mother has been going to him for years. In recent years, we have waited up to 4 hours to be seen. As my mother ages, 92, she cannot tolerate being out and about all day.

He is a very good dr and explains things well that you can understand.

I highly respect and trust Dr. Kushnik to care for my eyes. All team members were courteous and professional. Wait time was minimal. All questions were answered to my satisfaction.

I have been treated for glaucoma for 19 years. I unfortunately am intolerant to most drops. Dr. Kushnick did the glaucoma stent and cataract surgery on my weakest eye. I had no pain after the surgery. At my first post op visit my vision was 20/20 in the operative eye. The nurses and anesthesiologists were all very helpful, thorough and reassuring. I am truly amazed and thankful!

My wife Likes her NEW doctor. Was no longer happy with her former doctor and practice.

Dr. Kushnick is a great doctor. He makes you very comfortable. His exam very through and explains what he is doing.

Went for my check-up after cataract surgery. He did a great job. Had both eyes done at different times.

Dr. Kushnick has treated me for eye issues for over 10 years. He has done an excellent job of correcting my eye problems and preventing further issues. This week's check up went very well.

This review is in regard to the billing staff refusing to have me see the doctor. The wanted me to pay the yearly Medicare deductible. Advised Nancy that I did not have over a $150 with me and that Medicare does not take the full deductible out of one claim. She checked with Donna W and advised me I couldn’t be seen. After claim is processed they would me made aware of what I owe. I had an appt at 7:30 am for the doctor to check my diagnosis of glaucoma. He wanted me there early to check. I have been going there for treatment of glaucoma (causes blindness). I’ve was never asked to pay the Medicare deductible and I have worked with Medicare claims and all insurances. TERRIBLE I have no problem with the doctor! Does the doctor know I was turned away? And I have always paid my bills.

Although crowded, the wait was brief and all the staff were very friendly and pleasant and efficient. Dr. Kushnick was cordial, friendly and professional, with a calm and gentle approach, a pleasure to be his patient.

Other than the longer wait times I'm very happy to say it is a great office, very busy. Just need to plan a couple of hours for the appointments.

Dr. Kushnick is an excellent and caring ophthalmologist. I value his opinion and would recommend him to anyone seeking a good ophthalmologist to care for their eyes.

The Doctor was very friendly and professional. I twitch when my eyes are touched and he was very patient with me. He explained everything that he was going to do and why. Would highly recommend

I was in and out within 40 min! I loved it because it's very unusual for that to happen. The wait is usually at least an hour (on a good day!) My time is too valuable to waste it sitting in a waiting room!!

Dr Kushnick is always so polite and answers all of my questions. He explains the next plan of action and I am very satisfied with him and his office.

I've seen Dr. Kushnick for over 10 years. He always provides excellent care but normally the wait time is 1 to 1 1/2 hours. My last visit took a total of 20 minutes from check in to check out. Same great care but no wait time!! Kudos to the staff. I only hope that this is the experience I can expect in the future.

Overloaded patient load wait over an hour to see for two minutes. Very little interaction leaves one feeling like an item in an assembly line. Practice needs another doctor to handle patient liad

Dr Kushnick is extremely thorough when examining and caring for my eyes. He has been my Dr for the past 15 years and I have complete confidence in his skill as a doctor a surgeon!

I recently had cataract surgery on my right eye. The entire process from preparation to post operative care was outstanding. In my opinion, Dr. Kushnick is the best in the business, I would not trust anyone else with my eye care. His staff and facilities are top notch.

He is very knowledgeable and answers all questions. He eased my concerns and was very clear on all directions. He made it clear that I should contact them if I experienced worsening symptoms before the surgeries. My only issue was the wait time to get in to see him, but given the number of patients he has, it is understandable. It tells me his is one of the best in his field. I’ll take the wait in order to have the excellent care.

This visit went very fast compared to the normal 2 hour wait time I have to see him. Dr. Kushnick is very thorough and gentle.

My conversation with Dr Kushnick left me feeling better about the plan to care for my eyes. My condition is somewhat complicated but he had a sensible plan for going forward.

I have been seeing Dr. Kushnick since about 2015 and this has been my VERY BEST experience since that time. This is mainly due to the prompt service which is rarely the case. Appointment at 1:05 p.m. and in my car heading for home by 1:50 p.m. It doesn't get much better than this. I'm hoping this type of punctuality continues as I was seriously considering another doctor/facility.

Professional, knowledgeable, experienced Not much for chit chat, but answered all questions asked. When asked, he explained what he was doing and why. Prompt appointments for treatment. The laser treatment he rendered cured my narrow angle glaucoma.

I want to highly commend Brenda, the Office Manager. We had an issue in trying to fill the scrip for my husband's eye drops. I was put in touch with Brenda and she very patiently and professionally listened to our complaints, even though I was very angry and frustrated while speaking with her. Brenda worked with Dr. Kushnick and our pharmacy and resolved the issue in a complete and careful way for us. We will definitely recommend Dr. Kushnick and the Lehigh Valley Eye Center as we have always done in the past. My visit with Dr. Kushnick was done in a very timely matter. I have been a patient of his for a few hears now. I trust him with my eyes and he is very nice and will answer any questions you may have. I highly recommend him if you suffer from glaucoma he is an expert in his field.

I found Dr. Kushnik to be respectful, willing to answer questions, and very professional. The staff at the practice are polite, helpful and extend a welcoming environment. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Kushnick is extremely professional and does explain my situation completely. I have utmost confidence in him. Sometimes the wait times are long but then I am retired and time is sort of meaningless. The Staff is good and we are thankful for Lehigh Valley EYe Center.. GOD BLESS.

My most recent visit with Dr. Kushnick was the best visit I have had so far with him. In the past, wait times have been ridiculous, I was unable to understand the Dr. as he spoke very softly (my hearing isn’t the greatest) and in general; medications, procedures, etc. we’re not explained to me. I hope service continues s per my last visit. Thank you.

Dr. Kushnick is very professional both in the operating room and his office. He successfully worked on me through cataract and glaucoma diagnoses. I feel confident giving him an excellent recommendation.

Dr. Kushnick never tells me anything about my exam. I must always ask him what my pressure is. He never tells me on his own. He never goes over any of my tests with me. He may tell one of his girls to do a test but no one ever explains to me what I am having done. When I ask the girl she is very vague with her answer.
