Dr. Shadid has always been my favorite orthopedic doctor, I moved far away but he's worth the travel, He's always had great advice that's helped me along the way,I would highly recommend him to anyone.

He’s for sure being paid by employee company he sided with my employer in every way and spent less then 10 min examining me took him months to turn in my report worse doctor I ever met unprofessional in every way the good reviews are probably himself or family

Dr. Shadid didn't even examine my upper back, and wouldn't order any testing because he said "there was nothing to injure back there." He even asked me "What could be injured?" I don't know doctor, you tell me. And even though I had a neck MRI that showed my neck was fine with no pinched nerves, he still said it was coming from a nerve in my neck. He just prescribed more physical therapy even though I already tried that and have had this pain for 6 months. Then he said he was afraid of getting sued by insurance accusing him of ordering tests without a reason. Office is professional, courteous, helpful and happy!! The St. Charles office is busy, but your needs are not overlooked. The PAs and Dr. Shadid are exceptionally competent and have pleasant “bedside manners.” Dr. Shadid performed surgery on my left hand, Carpel Tunnel Release, and I could not b more pleased with my visits or surgery. I would not recommend Dr. Shadid to anyone. His Oak Park location has some of the worst customer service and logistics I have ever seen from an orthopedic provider. They take on too many appointments and are behind several hours EVERY visit (I’ve been there 5 times for a broken hand and have waited at least an hour on each visit). Dr. Shadid is not who you are getting here, either. I have never met, let alone seen Dr. Shadid in this location in the 4 times I’ve been. The clinical opinion here is that of a PA, not a doctor. Go anywhere else in Chicago. There is a reason it is so easy to get an appointment here, because most people would rather go anywhere else. I appreciate the excellent care provided by Dr Shadid and his staff. They were so helpful through the whole process and recovery. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Shadid is caring, empathetic and highly skilled. He approaches each case as a unique individual for care and treatment. He allows time for a thorough consultation. Dr. Shadid replaced my hip and returned my life to a pain free and active lifestyle even at 70 years of age.

I was referred to Genesis Orthopedics, Dr. Shadid, by my primary care provider after yet another visit to the ER regarding severe pain in my hips and an inability to walk. Dr. Shadid and his amazing team were attentive, compassionate, and caring. X-rays revealed severe arthritis in my hip joints. They were bone on bone. Both his PA Elliott Johnson and Dr. Shadid recommended surgery. I was ready. By this point, I could not find a non-narcotic pain reliever strong enough. I tried many and ate them like candy, but none of them completely relieved my pain. They would dull the ache enough for me to keep working, but I still had difficulty walking let alone climb stairs. I knew popping pills like I was was not healthy, so I was searching. I thought about occupations I could do from a wheelchair because that’s where I believed I was headed. “Thank You!” Just isn’t sufficient to express the debt of gratitude I feel for Dr. Shadid & Genesis Orthopedics. Dr. Shadid replaced both my hip joints in a three-month period. My second surgery was Aug 24, 2021. I have not needed any pain relievers since about a week after that surgery. I have had no pain. I have not needed assistance from a cane or a walker either. I can climb up and down stairs. I could train for a marathon if I want to. Dr. Shadid gave me my life back. I am eternally grateful. I am thankful to God for bringing Dr. Shadid and Genesis Orthopedics in my life. I am so blessed. If I ever need any other joints replaced in the future, I am definitely going to see Dr. Shadid. Although, Doctor Shadid is an amazing doctor, I have felt rushed on several visits.

When I had knee problems 5yrs ago, Dr Shadid was referred by my primary physician. He treated my torn meniscus & I was very happy with the results. Made appt to see him again with new complaints. Was very happy with my appointment and his recommendations.

I can do nothing more, than to thank Dr Shadid and his family of employees. They make me feel very comfortable there.

My right knee was totally replaced July 7, 2020. It still hurts more than my left knee which is bone on bone. I am having that replaced in August by another surgeon. I will not have Genesis Orthopedics do another surgery.

I was sent to see Dr. Shadid for a IME by my workers comp insurance. My original diagnosis is bicep tendon subluxation. I was told I need surgery which I completely believe because of the pain I’m in all the time. In my opinion Dr. Shadid doubted everything I said and I feel he made up his mind before I even entered the exam room. He told me my symptoms do not match the diagnosis. He said he would be sending his report to the insurance and the lawyers would sort out the details. What lawyers? Why is a doctor saying “lawyers” to me? Just had a Conformis (custom to one) total knee replacement surgery this morning and was home by 4:30pm (walking). Dr. Shadid is not just an excellent surgeon; but, he’s a great individual and friend who cares about you and your life long welfare, well-being and comfort. All I can said is that he and his staff are non-pareil (having no match or equal; unrivaled.). I loss a half inch in height due 40 years of bone on bone erosion and they straighten me right up by returning the joint to it’s original structure. So I’m about a half inch taller and not limping. Dr. Shadid was very accommodating for a last minute appointment. He had a great bedside manner and I felt very comfortable in his care. He gave me options and was very thorough and thoughtful. He even modified my cast so I could have a little more range of motion.

Since my knee surgery by Dr. Shadid in 2005 I have never forgotten his personal and professional skills. My recent appointments with him and his wonderful staff were even more impressive. He and Stacie efficiently, expertly, and empathetically explained my options for treatment, considering my impending 90 year old birthday and the possible complications which would be involved, They assured me that they and all the staff would would be available to help me. I feel greatly blessed!

Dr Shadid is a superb orthopedic surgeon with an excellent reputation.

This is the office you want to go to when you need orthopaedic surgery. As a patient with chronic knee issues, MCL, ACL, Miniscus they are very knowledgeable and work hard to treat you with compassion and understanding so that you completely understand the course of action. They give you options to make an informed decision of your health - why they recommend a particular course of action, why it should be done and what you need to do to get where you want to be. Movement is medicine and so is the PT that they recommend. This office also helped with my finger that was mangled/fractured by an industrial embroidery machine, my range of motion has been completely restored and I have no pain. There is not enough praise for the work that they do which I am forever grateful for. I simply cannot say enough about the professionalism and bedside manner of every team member in this office. I have had three visits within the last month and with each one I was greeted and cared for as though I was the only patient of the day. My questions were received with the utmost of care and thoughtfulness no matter how small or uncertain my descriptions were in terms of pinpointing the issues I was having. Everything was explained in a way that I easily understood my options and prospective outcome. Though the waiting room was bustling with others waiting to see Dr. Shadid, not once did he or any of the staff rush my appointment or lessen my concerns. I felt Stacie did an excellent job discovering my problems and reviewing the results with me. Whatever see did during the exam reduced my pain 75% and really put me on the road to feeling so much better.

Wonderful clinic and great treatment! I had a virtual appointment yesterday (due to covid) and was immediately asked to come in for an in-person meeting. I've been suffering from de Quervain's, which is a tenosynovitis of the wrist in the tendon between the thumb and wrist for about half a year. I originally went to a hospital, and was then sent by referral to orthopedics, which took another month, and was given a cortisone shot. At Genesis, I went in today, was given x-rays and an ultrasound, then had the shot in under an hour. I was also given a special medical thumb brace for my hand, and already have a follow-up appointment booked for physical therapy next time. Wonderful service and everyone was very kind and caring. I saw Sincer Jacob, and he was so nice and knowledgeable, and took great care to make sure to address all my concerns and lay out a clear treatment plan. Highly recommend!!!

I have been a patient of Dr Shadid since April 2019. He got to the root of the problem where previous doctors had failed. Dr. Shadid performed my tendon repair surgery and is continuing to manage my after care. The office staff is polite, efficient, patient, and empathic. Dr Shadid and the PA’s are all amazing. The nurses respond in a timely manner as well as the on-call PA’s. Facility is always clean and neat. Comfortable atmosphere.

Recommend highly based on personnel and professional experience. His ethics, clinical experience, and life learning make him an exceptional clinician.He has earned my highest respect.

We loved our experience here. We saw a PA and they were incredibly helpful. My husband fell and broke his arm, and they saw him right away even though they didn’t usually see patients that day. They gave us excellent care and attention. Highly recommend this office.
