Ian R Neilson

Dr. Neilson is a wonderful practitioner. He made our family feel at ease during anxious medical times, and our little patient absolutely adores him. He has a grasp of his work and asks others for help if he needs. We love dr. Neilson.

We came to Dr. Neilson with a time sensitive probelm in regards to our kiddo. His bedside manner is fantastic, and he was clear and very informative about what my daughter was experiencing and our options. He took plenty of time to answer questions and provide his thoughts regarding the situation. Before and after surgery he was so great, and made us feel like our daughter was not just a number. He remembered things about her that you wouldn't expect a surgeon to take the time to remember. He checked in with her every day she was in the hospital and answered any questions or concerns we had. I can't thank him enough. In a scary time for us, he was a beacon of calmness and strength. We feel lucky that he was our daughters surgeon. Amazing doctor and surgeon. Their entire pediatric practice is wonderful. And especially Dr. Neilson and Dr. Mallory. My complete belief in their competency never waived once. Dr Neilson (and Mallory) explained everything to us thoroughly and without complicated surgical jargon as well as not patronizing tone. We, as in Greater Southern Maine, are more than fortunate to have these two outstanding, not only surgeons, human beings working in our larger community!!

His bedside manner is fantastic, and in a scary time in our lives he was a beacon of strength and calmness. He spent plenty of time with us from consult all the way through post surgery. We feel very grateful to have Dr. Neilson have been our kiddos surgeon. He was very informative, and explained things in a way parents can understand. He was truly amazing. We can't thank him enough.

This Dr knows what he is doing! Smart, respectful, caring, prompt, very informative. We were glad he was in charge of our childs surgery. His knowledge and experience made a very hard time in our lives a little easier.
