Dr. Ian Spencer Zenlea

For about a month or so, our small child was a patient of Dr. Ian Spencer Zenlea and his team at the Trillium Health Partners outpatient clinic in Mississauga Ontario. Due to his over the top emotionally dysregulated behavior especially in front of my child I found Dr. Ian Spencer Zenlea to be very un-caring, unaware of his surroundings, highly un-professional and frankly we found his conduct to be sickening. We have never experienced this before or since leaving his clinic. I found he easily becomes easily upset or overly emotional and he jumps to conclusions even without necessarily having all the correct information. Ian Zenlea screamed his head off at me for about 10 minutes on the phone in front of my spouse and child this on the same high stress (for us) day he diagnosed our child with a very serious illness. Very unprofessional. Within less than two months when switched to a different clinic in a different city and since our " firing" Dr. Zenlea and his team, my wife child and I have had nothing but a very excellent and positive experience at the new clinic for over two years now. I have never had a doctor scream his head of at me like Dr. Zenlea did (and in front of my small child yet) in my life. Very poor interpersonal skills. I don't know if I just caught him on a bad day or if this type of client mistreatment is his usual for him or if this is just the way they practice medicine Vermont or Massachusetts USA which is where he was trained and was practicing for decades previously. For some reason decided to leave United States and move to Canada which I found rather unusual and suspicious . Anyway we were sickened by his unusual un called for over the top behavior. I was and may still file a complaint with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. because usually. But at least all is excellent for my child as well as my spouse and I since our switching to the new clinic which employs staff and physicians which are actually professionals. There are far better experts than Dr. Zenlea. I understand he was trained in Vermont USA and previously practiced in Massachusetts USA for many decades . I don't know if his conduct of mistreatment and his screaming at his clients in front of their children is a USA thing? I truly hope not. We also noticed that his team was very tight lipped and covered up for him when it came to our raising our concerns about his behavior. Very unusual and very disappointing. I would advise bring a tape recorder with you just in case , because his staff will cover for him. At least this was our experience. We are glad we changed to a different clinic.
