Ibijoke Alade

I was very worried when my contusion, caused by a fall on a stairway, started started spreading from my elbow down my forearm. During my second visit to Urgent Care, Dr. Alade explained that this was normal, spoke to me in a very soothing way about the effects that Coumadin can have on bruising and gave me some ideas about what might happen in the next few days. She knew exactly what to say to totally eliminate my anxiety. I'm grateful for her professional, empathetic care.

Beginning of exam was fine but went downhill quickly. After reviewing the xrays she seemed very rushed and eager to finish the exam. Seemed to completely disregard all of my concerns simply because the xrays showed no breaks or fractures in my hand. The exam notes I received say "normal strength noted" when I specifically mentioned not being able to support any weight with my hand. Never gave any possible explanations for the tingling, lack of hand mobility, or intense pain shooting up my arm.

I had a telephone consult with Dr. Alade and she was extremely helpful, straight-forward and cheerful.
