Dr. Ilya Shnaydman

I was unfortunately involved in a terrible trauma and needed emergency surgery. Dr. Shnaydman was with me every step of the way both in the operating room and in the ICU. I am lucky to have survived due to his care.

He is extremely caring and professional. He went out of his way to follow up with me after surgery and I had excellent results.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Dr. Shnaydman and his amazing team at Westchester Medical Center. On a business trip I became severally ill hours after getting off a plane and knew I had to get myself to a hospital. After diagnosing a lower bowel obstruction, he immediately presented me with a care plan and informed me emergency surgery was needed. Knowing my wife and family would have to travel in he promised to keep them informed during the surgery and kept every promise he made. Post-Surgery he came and saw me every day for the 6 nights I spent in the hospital and always presented himself with an uplifting smile. Upon discharge he followed up via phone and coordinated with a local surgeon for post hospitalization care. This guy is a special doctor and truly cares about his patients and loves what he does and it shows in his delivery. 3 weeks later I am on the mend and would be completely confident recommending him to anyone. MVP type of man/doctor!

Dr. Shnaydman took over the care of my son when he was discharged from the ICU. Due to Covid I was unable to visit my son. I asked numerous times for the doctor to call me to update me on my son's condition. He never called. He discharged my son, knowing that I wanted to talk to him and never made contact with me. This is unacceptable. Clearly this is not a caring man.
