Dr. Carlson was rude and too abrupt for my liking. She was very demanding about getting a negative test result for Covid-19 which I was instructed to take Friday before my Monday surgery. Before the surgery the nurse explained to me that the anesthetic would put me under where I wouldn't feel the procedure but would still be able to respond to voice commands and I would be oblivious to what was going on and would forget everything anyway. Nothing could be further from the truth. During my surgery, I heard the whole team discuss the protests, Dr. Carlson changing her surgery day to Friday and difficulties with another patient during a previous surgery. I verbally objected as I was laying there, "Do I really need to hear this?" Who wants to hear about someone else's surgery gone bad while being operated on? I could tell exactly what was happening the whole time and complained about the pain a couple of times and it became nearly unbearable.

I loved Dr. Carlson! She really listened to me. I had cataract surgery on both of my eyes in Dec. 2015 and saw her for strabismus. Unfortunately, I was unable to have the surgery to correct the strabismus at that time, but I will certainly go back to her when I am able to have that surgery. She is a doctor I trust, and I have had to see many doctors over the years. I also worked in the medical field for 25 years.

My 10 year old son, has some anxiety with some medical visits. My other three boys don't have this issue. So when my son began to panic, Dr. Carlson was impatient and rude. She was not professional at all. And she does this for a living? I can't believe our pediatrician recommended this Dr. We complained to our pediatrician. How do I give zero stars?
