Waited forever on my first appt. Then, she rushed me because she was behind. Told me she wanted to "see if she could work with me". She asked a bunch of questions and said she could "work with me". Horrible experience. She made me anxious beyond belief. Exactly what I needed from a so-called provider. Never go there.

I visited Irene DeMatteo late last year and spent months trying to undo the damage that she had done. She took me off my antidepressant and antipsychotic so rapidly that I experienced excruciating withdrawals. At this point, she asked me to go through the internet to pick new meds that I felt might work.(!) Incredulous, I switched to a psychiatrist who finally carefully and professionally restored balance with my medications. Do not go to this provider.

I just started goin to dr dematteo. I feel like she’s a great listener and think that she’s really tryin to get me on the rite meds to help me. I trust her and think she is wonderfu

Did not feel that I was listened to. I felt judged and she kept trying to throw different medications at me. She also talked to me disrespectfully.

Irene refuses to listen, cold personality, I wouldn't recommend her..She's definitely in the wrong field.

Did not feel as though I was listened to, especially as it was the first appointment. When I left at the end of the appointment I was very upset. She prescribed medication that I know from prior experience has zero beneficial effect for me (I explained to her) she insisted I try it again and decided my prior regimen was not right even though it did work very well for me. I am presently seeking a different physician or nurse practitioner. Will continue with this PCNS.

She is understanding and fair. She did all in her ability to do to help me and keep me on track.
