Dr. Ivri K Messinger

When my son (1st child) was about one month old, he fell into such a deep sleep we could not wake him from his nap, he would react and go right back to sleep. I called in a panic and was told to be at the office in 15 minutes for a walk in, so I picked up my son and ran without changing our clothes or packing anything for him. When I saw Dr. Messinger, she made several comments about how unprepared I seemed despite my explaining the circumstances, decided my son was just in a deep sleep, and insisted I breastfeed him in front of her despite my telling her that breastfeeding wasn't working out and I usually pump then feed from a bottle. I would give her information, and she clearly did not listen to me because she would turn around and ask questions that I had already answered. I have never felt more patronized, belittled, and dismissed in my life, never mind as a new mother. She instructed me to schedule a follow up with my usual pediatrician without providing any answers.

An archaic Dr who will ignore everything you say and do as little investigation as possible if it doesn't fit her narrow scope of what she believes to be true.
