I like everything except that I have to wait for long

Dr Jacoub always dedicates his time to your appointment. He never rushes, is always caring, attentive and actually remembers details pertaining to you. He is an extremely professional, competent, superb oncologist. He’s been my Dr for many, many years.

Dr. Jacoub has been my oncologist for 12 years. He is always concerned, knows my facts and test results, and is easy to talk to. Highly recommend him.

I was very apprehensive before I went in to see Dr. Jacoub because I potentially have a very serious issue. My husband and I were very impressed with his knowledge level and communication skills and he immediately made me feel at ease. He set up a great follow up plan and I’m so appreciative that I found such a great doctor and I’m no longer stressed out about what is going on because he explained it so well.

Dr. Jacoub is very calm, explains things nicely and gets to the most important points quickly. He is a very professional Doctor. He reassured me that he could determine my condition without going to extreme measures, which before my visit, concerned me greatly. I feel like Dr. Jacoub is more skilled and intelligent than other doctors in his field.

I always feel valued and cared for when I come in. Dr Jacoup gives me many treatment options and advice.

I was referred to Dr Jacoub by my insurance I called maybe like 10 times, the supervisor denied to see me, I’ve been diagnosed with triple negative stage 3 breast cancer. They had the approval already. I haven’t started any treatment yet and they still refused to at least see me for a consultation which makes me very upset and sad at the same time, I wanted a second opinion from him. George would answer the phone and transfer me to the desk for appointment and they would just hang up or not even bother answering they sent it straight to voicemail. Excellent Dr. He put my Cancer to sleep and has kept it there! Couldn’t ask for a better more upbeat Dr. Has a great attitude and never wants to take credit for what he does! Very humble!

Dr. Jacoub is an outstanding oncologist and I feel very grateful that I chose him out of the oncologists I interviewed to help me through my cancer journey. I pray I don’t have to go through anything again, but if I did I would feel confident with him on my side.

Dr Jacoubs makes me feel comfortable and easy to be around I love hearing that I am cancer free!

Great doctor

Dr Jacoub was well prepared, attentive and empathetic. His manner conveyed both confidence and competence, and most importantly, he made a scary situation less so.

Always proficient at the check in through checkout, pre exam and meeting with Dr Jacoubs is to the point and covers all the areas of concern so when I visit with Dr Jacoubs he is well informed.

Dr.Jacoub has been my oncologist for five years. He is a wonderful doctor very knowledgeable very patient. He saved my life and I am eternally grateful.

Caring and Competent

My experience has been awesome I've been going to him since 2017. He has kept me alive and kicking. He listens to me and how I feel. He explains everything to me so I can understand.

I have been calling to make an appointment but goes to the answering service and says that the office is closed!!! I can’t believe how disorganized this office is. How is it possible that you are closed all day on Friday and following Monday which is today? I even called the other offices and sent Emails. The previous person’s review is also valid. Instead of arguing with someone who is dealing with cancer please be a little more kind. This is sad About the doctors, I was seen by doctor Collin Vu once then he didn’t want to see me so I met his PA, (great person) plus doctor Vu doesn’t exist anymore and no one bothered to call and tell me. I have new authorization to see Dr. Jacob which I know is one of the best. I can’t get through. The staff at this office are disorganized and do not follow through. They never answer the phone, and are very unresponsive. A confusing auto attendant always answers the phone, and you are told you will get a response within 24 hours- not much comfort for someone struggling with cancer. It is impossible to reach your physician with this practice, the best you can hope for is a call back from an assistant- 24 hours after your call. My mother is a patient at this practice and I am struggling to advocate for her. The staff at this office are disorganized and do not follow through. When i first started coming to this practice it was great they were nice qnd the doctors are great i dont see Jacob but i see Roa I was diagnosed with stage 4 and Dr Roa explained everything in detail reassured my daughter qnd he came up with the excellent plan of treatment. Everything changed once i was completed with Chemotherapy. Granted it was also when Covid had started but that was several months ago and When i was atill doing Chemotherapy during Covid tjings were still good. Now i am done with Chemotherapy so i go in for office visits and injectiin only. Any side effects i have is no longer their problem or conern. Due to Covid i was having some problems with scheduling surgery and radiation i needed the Dr Roa advice but instead I was told by office staff no longer this office conern as i am done with Chemotherapy Needles to say i was shocked and totally desperate for assistance i need to snippy with office nextt time. Since then whenever i have appointment for injection i have to wait a long time. Today they had me wait for over an hour. If i leave message i never get a Phone Call returned. I understand that they're buay office and some patients might be worse off. If the office staff could be more understanding and return phone calls. That would go a long way. This has been many months into Covid so stop using that as excuse why you don't check patients in and why you Don't returned phone calls. I no longer mention any problems i just go my pcp for assistance i was not going to write this but aft today and telling them i just dont feel right. All i got was someone will call you. My wife Eileen Strouse on a zoom appointment on Feb.11th was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She had a biopsy taken of her lung prior to this zoom appointment. The cancer had moved to several of her organs. She received an infusion on Feb.24th she passed away on Feb.26 in terrible pain.If we had provided hospice instead of the recommended infusion her passing would have been easier on her and my family,the infusion was one thousand dollars copay.I truely believe her case was grossly mishandled.

He is honest and kind which is a great combination for physicians these days. He talks to you rather than down to you and has empathy for your quality of life.

The doctor's office lost my wife's biopsy and really did not care about her health. We changed doctors and I would not recommend him. Also found out later that his assistant was let go. No apology and really unprofessional behavior. Changed doctors.

Dr. Jacoub saved my life! When I was diagnosed I was stage 4. I was told I had a couple weeks to live. Dr. Jacoub immediately admitted me and within an hour I was having a Spinal tap, bone marrow tap and a PIC line put in. Spent 5 months in Orange Coast Memorial hospital under his care and Im ALIVE because of Dr. Jacoubs knowledge and dedication. Only thing is I am sad that PA Mary Ann Hall is no longer at OC Blood and Cancer. She was a big part of my day to day health care. I can't say thank you enough to Dr. Jacoub and his staff. Dr. Jacoub saved my brother-in-law's life, and he subsequently treated my mom after all others wrote her off. Thanks to Dr. Jacoub, we had mom for an extra year, and BiL is still here and cancer free. Cannot say enough good things about this man.

Dr. Jacoub is a great doctor! I was recommended to him about 2 1/2 years ago by my surgeon when they discovered that I had lymphoma and glad he did. He is extremely knowledgeable and up to date on the latest studies, but has a great bedside manner to put you at easy. He is honest in his feedback and letting you know the different treatments that are available to you. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr Jacoub offers everything you need during a life threatening medical journey, from his caring-positive approach to his highly skilled expertise. He is a brilliant Oncologistt, into research and I always felt confident knowing he is on top of the very latest treatment options. He is conciderate and compassionate with his patients. Throughout my treatments, he proved repeatedly that he'd see me through the toughest times to completion. When looking for a great Oncologist, Dr. Jacoub is the one.

Dr Jacoub was recommended to my husband and me by one of the top surgeons at Saddleback Hospital Dr Wallace after I was diagnosed with terminal colon cancer. He is a brilliant Oncologist and into research, in the process of ordering one of the latest aggressive cancer pills, It is 1 1/2 years since surgery, He is very conciderate and compassionate with his patients, If you are looking for a great Oncologist,Saddleback Valley area he's the one. I saw the other review by Rich Rogers. To that I would comment that he is a doctor and sees many patients. Of course he cannot remember everyone. As a doctor I would imagine you cannot "emotionally" care for everyone. Only God can do that. People would get drained doing that and it would hurt his ability to help us. I see him from time to time and when I am in front of him, he is doing his job. When I leave, I suspect he is concentrating on his next patient or what ever other responsibility he has. That is what I would be doing. He is at work you know. If you want someone to really care, I would suggest a friend? PS: I am not a doctor. I saw the other review by Rich Rogers. I disagree with Rich Rogers Dr. Jacoub is great! Knows me by name probably because I call for everything. I'm glad I listened to his recommendations he knows what he's taking about I am currently in treatment and when I want to give up he encourages me to continue. He's been a great support to me and always there when I need to have things checked out for peace of mind. Angela and Vee the girls at the front are great too. Very knowledgeable at first, but when you come back the second visit, he basically doesn't remember who you are. They cannot keep track of charts, and he never, and I mean never returns a call. When you finally get in front of him, you see why he could be a good Dr, but I genuinely do not believe he gives a second thought to you the second you leave.
