Jacob Matthew Budny

I'm almost two months post full (right) hip replacement and I'm kicking myself for not having done it sooner. Dr. Budny came highly recommended and after our first meeting, I felt like I was in good hands. Dr. Budny took to time to show my my X-Rays and share his observations and why I was in so much pain (bone on bone). When I finally made the decision to get the surgery done, he walked me through the entire procedure. On the day of the surgery, Dr. Budny walked through the process again and was there afterward to make sure any pain was minimal and talk about the results. I was able to WALK out of the hospital with some stiffness and very little pain. Within five days, stairs were no problem and I was walking normally. Withing two weeks I was walking regularly on a treadmill and after 7 weeks, I'm ready to start jogging...but the Dr. said to take it easy. ;p Overall, I'm very happy with the results and the personable service Dr. Budny provides.

I had right hip replacement surgery a few weeks ago. A very arthritic hip, with lots of bone on bone action. Surgery went great. His work was excellent. I'm healing up nicely. Dr. Budny knows his stuff, and he is quite personable as well. The staff at Bon Secours was also great and pleasant. I strongly recommend Dr. Budny and his team. I'm very happy that he handled my surgery.

Dr. Budny is fantastic! I have had a persisting tailbone injury for over a year now, another doc could not figure out, so I went to Dr. Budny for a 2nd opinion. Dr. Budny took the time to listen to what I had to say, and ordered an MRI to get to the bottom of my pain. My husband joined for our follow up appt and after the appt, my husband even said "he's awesome!" So I 10/10 recommend Dr. Budny. He's very patient, kind, he clearly explains everything, and is a really great doc!

Dr. Budny is a highly skilled and personable surgeon. I received a THR on November 2018. Dr. Budny and his team provided the right amount of professionalism and warmth from pre to post op. I recently saw him again in September 2020, for a check up as I am preparing for a 25K mountain trail run. I would recommend Dr. Budny for anyone seeking surgery.

I have been seeing Dr. Budny for three years now since I began having issues with diabetic foot ulcers that progressed to the point that MRSA infections caused me to have toes go necrotic and require emergency surgery. From the beginning he amazed me. I've been in healthcare technology for 25 years and although I had never been a hospital PATIENT I have worked with 100s of MDs/DOs and he is without a doubt the absolute best in terms of caring for his patients and the procedures he's performed on me (3 toe amputations) were done perfectly and he followed me until my care was easily managed by home health and primary care MD. Unfortunately he was exposed to the Corona virus when I required recent surgical interventions, and I found out first hand that HIS level of skill FAR exceeds others in the Richmond area. I was forced to use a surgeon in his 70s that butchered me, so I required a trans-metatarsal amputation within 6-weeks to resolve it. I fully recommend him to anyone in need!

Dr. Jacob Budny is one of the best. He performed two full knee replacement surgeries on my dad. One in 2018 and another in 2019 at St. Francis Hospital. Prior to meeting Dr. Budny, my dad was being seen by other physicians and has developed a knee infection. When other physicians where hesitant to operate and treat my dad, Dr. Budny took on my dad's very complex case and first cleared the infection via a surgical procedure and antibiotics and then 6 months later did a full knee replacement. After a wonderful recovery, my dad had his other knee replaced by Dr. Budny. A year later everything is going great. Would highly recommend. Dr. Budny doesn't seem to be in my dad's insurance plan any longer, but due to the experience my dad had with Dr. Budny, he will come and see Dr. Budny regardless! In addition to be an excellent surgeon, Dr. Budny has great bed side manners as well!

Would highly recommend dr budny. He throughly explain everything in terms you can understand and feel comfortable with. He is always pleasant and politeful. I feel he is a great knee surgeon.

My left leg (femur) was broken last year and my left artificial hip got loosened and swings back and forth as well. The situation was complicated. Dr. Budny fixed my left leg and left hip at the same time in one surgery. Now my left leg and left hip healed and I can move around and walk freely. I wholeheartedly thank Dr. Budny for the amazing surgery he did and his extraordinary medical skills that bring me back to normal life!!!

Dr. Budny explains all options available for treatment. I did not feel rushed as he answered every question that I had.

Dr. Budney is by far the most amazing doctor my husband has seen. He is so caring and compassionate. He is always available day or night should he be needed. He takes the time you need to feel comfortable and at ease without pushing his recommendations. He tells you your options and let’s you decide how to proceed! You will not be disappointed with him! I am extremely pleased with Dr. Budny! On my first visit, he had done his homework and was well prepared to discuss my radiology results and next steps. I found Dr. Budny just by luck on a google search. He performed my hip replacement three weeks ago. He and his practice is 5-star perfect. He was trustworthy, explained everything very well, has great bedside manner and oh most definitely experienced. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Thanks for the perfect new hip Dr. Budny!

Called in the morning, appointment in the evening, it couldn't be any easier. Everyone there was very friendly and courteous.

Was highly impressed by dr budny as his office in general but NOT happy with his nurse or whatever you call her. She was rude and gave me a lot of attitude because I wasn’t able to get my X-rays from my primary care. I am nurse practitioner and am not happy about the attitude I was given. I heard her talking about me to an employee and if it wasn’t for everything else being outstanding I would be seeing the other Physican in the practice. Know how to speak to patients - it’s important.

Dr. Budny genuinely cares about his patients, and he most definitely takes pride in his work. He will spend as much time as you need talking, explaining, and answering any questions you may have. He will do everything in is power to get you back to good. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Budny.

He was the most compassionate doctor who gave me thorough information but all the decisions belong to me. He worked with me in my care. He didn't treat me like I wasn't an equal.

I started coming to Dr Budny in October 2017 for a work related knee injury . Although it’s still an ongoing condition with more procedures to follow Dr Budny has been an excellent doctor. I am very happy with everything thus far. His bedside matters are to be commended. His knowledge skills and ability are in my opinion an A+. Dr Budney is very easy to talk to and gives you the truth on what’s going on and exactly from AtoZ everything that needs to happen!!! I love this doctor ????????????

Dr. Budny is an EXCELLENT surgeon. I came in with a trimalleolar fracture of my ankle which probably would not have healed on its own. His surgical skill was evident, as he lined up my broken bone perfectly and placed the titanium plate just right. Throughout the process he was attentive to the many details involved. He also gave me very accurate estimates of when I would be able to progress to the next level. I had an excellent result due to his skills. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Budny is wonderful doctor! He did my right hip replacement and did a fantastic job! I would refer him highly. It has been over a year, since my hip replacement and I am doing great because of Dr. Budny! Thank you so much for all you did for me!

Did total left hip replacement on me 66 years old. No pain or infection. Out of hospital next morning. No need for therapy. Felt exactly like the one I was born with. Back to work laying brick and heavy stone in two weeks. The man has been given a gift for surgery by God. Didn't even know he did surgery on me until I looked at the scar on my hip. I live in Pennsylvania and if my right hip needs done I will travel to Virginia for the operation. He's that good.

I would Highly recommend Dr Budny to family and friends. I have only had one visit and given treatment for knee pain. Dr Budny was very professional, knowledgeable with a great bedside manner. Explained my treatment and condition with total concern for my well being. Took his time to answer all my questions and explained any future treatments that may be required for my condition.

Dr. Budny was excellent. I live in State College with excellent surgeons to select from for a hip replacement but I found Dr Bundy the best. Excellent knowledge and also shows he is excited about his work. He wants to make sure The outcome is excellent.

Dr.Budny very easy to talk to explains everything to you. Great bedside manners. Very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!!

I had broken my left femur in 11 pieces .. I had multiple surgeries but found no relief until Dr Budny did a knee replacement! The man is a genius with a scalpel l would recommend you go to him for any orthopedic surgery. He works miracles!
