The visit to Dr. Chen was relatively quick. Dr. Evaluated the medical condition. And offered an immediate treatment. Within minutes I was out a Happy trouper. Thank you Doctor Chen.

Had to wait for a month for appt. Made it hard to reminder every Detail. Now need ct scan. Still have to wait to hear from them appt desk.had to leave message.

Dr Chen is very knowledgeable, friendly and caring. In fact, he did such a great job on my knee, I am coming to him and SCOS for the other knee. Just follow his advice and though it wasn’t always easy, it was worth it!

I was expecting Dr. Chen to be five stars from his reputation and he did not disappoint. He was very smart, patient and well informed about my individual situation. Dr. James Chen had it all from his perfect demeanor to the warmth and kindness that's very comforting from a doctor when it comes to having both hips replaced. He made sure all our questions were answered and took as much time as we needed. He explains things slowly and in layman's terms so we fully understood everything that was going to happen before during and after. Dr. Chen and his wonderful team have been professional, kind, thorough and prompt! I am awaiting a total hip replacement surgery and I visited Dr. Chen for my pre-operation meeting yesterday. Due to the fact Dr. Chen treats all his patients with the upmost care, he explained to me about all the potential complications with having this surgery at my current weight. Since he cares for all his patients like his own family, he decided for my benefit, to postpone my surgery. Other surgeons may have ignored such data, but not Dr. Chen. I believe with all my heart, that Dr. Chen truly cares about me and wants what is best for me. He subsequently has referred me to UCI medical weight management and wants me to be at a healthier weight so the surgery can be most successful leaving me with no complications of infection, bone fragmentation etc. I give Dr. Chen the highest of recommendations as his patient, and would gladly speak to anyone about his communication skills, kindness, warmth and thoroughness. Staff was professional and, in view of the severe chronic pain in my right thigh and knee, were supportive and considerate. Dr. Chen reviewed my X-rays and, after listening to my complaint, examined me. He listened to me carefully and struck me as thorough. Unfortunately I was not a candidate for orthopedic surgery. He recommended I continue working with my pain management physician. I did sense he had a heavy patient load. As an orthopedic surgeon, I recommend him highly. My mom and I were thrilled to have Dr Chen come in and see us. We didn't know a knee replacement was possible at her age and it was very encouraging. So much so she's considering it right now. Thank you Dr Chen.

My experience with Dr. Chen, the diagnosis and treatment of my knee was first class! He was very thorough and performed all the necessary tests for a path forward. I’m feeling so much better! Dr. Chen’s office staff and Physicians Assistant Mohammad are terrific.
