Doctor Higgins is awesome! I was reluctant to get carpal tunnel surgery, but he put my mind at ease, and a year later I am so glad I did it. I have recommended him to family and friends, all of whom share my sentiments. Great doctor! Nice guy!

I am a patient in Texas. I was able to connect with doctor Higgins within a very short period of time via a virtual appoint after not being fully diagnosed in Texas regarding an issue with my wrist. Dr Higgins was able to tell me what his diagnosis was regarding my wrist and possible immediate solutions to the issue. He advised that the solution could be taken care of in Texas and I didn't necessarily have to travel to Maryland. He took the time to review my case, my files, and any other information that I sent him. He was very thorough in his explanation of my issue and answered every question I had in a very understandable way. I was extremely happy with the staff that helped me coordinate the virtual appt with Dr. Higgins. Overall, the experience with the staff and doctor was excellent... Very professional, friendly, very responsive, and a great bedside manner.

Dr.Higgins is an excellent surgeon and a very compassionate and easy to talk to doctor.

I have been seeing Doctor Higgins for quite sometime now, along with my wife. Doctor Higgins is very professional. He cares about his patients. I would recommend Doctor Higgins to any of my family and friends.

Only good words for Dr. Higgins. His coordinator, Christie, does everything she can to fit your schedule. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. And, as someone who has had multiple surgeries (both hands, elbow and multiple shots) Dr. Higgins is an excellent surgeon. Aside from his surgical skills, he always takes the time explains the issue and all possible remedies. Both my wife and I have been treated by him for many years. Yep, I like the guy.

We had a positive experience getting our appointment with Dr. Higgins and it was a pleasure meeting him and having him handle the needs that brought us into the office. He was exceptionally kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend for hand care!

Dr Higgins performed a total proximal carpectomy on my left wrist. My wrist was swollen, painful, & I was losing my wrist mobility. I am 2 years out from surgery & am pain and swelling free. I am an RN able to keep working and have my fine motor movement back. I can also type again! Dr Higgins has a great bedside manner & explains everything so that any lay person can understand. I highly recommend him for any hand or wrist injury.

Dr. Higgins performed successful surgery on my husband for a complicated situation. Dr. Higgins did a great job and provided outstanding care. We recommend him highly!

Surgery was years and years ago, however he was great. The staff was great. I was in and out in less than 6 min or so. Felt like a blink of the eyes. No scar.

Dr Higgins not only is an exceptional surgeon, but he has a tremendous bed-side manner, as well. He is transparent, accommodating and easy to follow as he explains complexities of pending surgery. I traveled from NY to MD just to have Dr Higgins as my surgeon and I am so grateful he performed my osteotomy because I now have a perfectly functioning left hand once more! Not enough praise for Dr Higgins and his support staff!

Extremely knowledgeable, personable, compassionate doctor who expertise is delicate, complicated surgery of the hand. I regained full function of my right hand after a trama thanks to Dr. Higgins.

dr james p higgins did a great job on both of my hands was in lot of pain feel alot better would recommend him highly

Dr Higgins has done two surgeries on my hand. Most recent was December 8, 2015. He is a great doctor. He is gentle, willing to listen, explains things, is usually on time for appointments and extremely caring of your feelings. I would highly recommend Dr Higgins to anyone. I trust him very much.
