Dr. Kontak takes the time to listen. He is professional yet caring. The procedures he performed were done as quickly and as gently as possible.

It is impossible to make appointments due to several cancellations made by the office. Trying to get ahold of the office is difficult. You end up talking to the voicemail service most of the time. Dr. Kontak told me I needed to get a PSA test but I told him that Dr. Morse told me that I only needed one only every 2 years. He didn't believe me but I told him I still don't believe I need a PSA test every year as it is a real low value. Well he relented and told me as I was checking out that Dr. Morse did write a note about my only needing the test done every 2 years. So being a new patient he didn't read my chart before he saw me. That's poor medicine. He did not follow true protocol for consulting a new patient and even though I am a patient belonging to the same group as well. Great doc. Referred by dr Thomas. Spent time and called day after surgery to personally check on me. Would highly recommend.

This doctor was recomend by the ER attending at St. Johns. I found the staff friendly, caring and helpful. Dr. Kontak was/is knowledgeable, compassionate and explained all options (suggested a second opinion) a explained all procedures and surgeries. I am still undergoing canicer care and would not consider any other provider.

I was seeing him for a year for kidney stones worst doc ever he did lythotripsy and put a Stent in the most painful experience of my life I had this thing in for a week I was in so much pain and he let me suffer through it when I asked for pain meds he said no dosnt care about his patients

Incompetent, arrogant and thoughtless. He did not explain or even mention the surgery options and post surgery recovery. Dr. Kontak did not follow up after surgery. The incompetence of this doctor started couple of years ago when he diagnosed the patient as not needing the prostate surgery meanwhile the enlarged prostate got worse. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.
