Dr. James Paul Retzer

At check in I said that, in the absence of symptoms, I prefer not to get X-rays and was told it is policy. I explained that I have read research on the impact of radiation-based tests on cancer rates and I’m concerned about radiation exposure, I said I would sign a waiver absolving the office of responsibility for anything they missed, I asked to talk to the doctor, and was told it is policy. I was disappointed to be denied treatment with no explanation, and no chance to talk to Dr. Retzer.

My family and I were loyal patients of Dr. Retzer for over 10 years. We went every 6 months religiously for our check ups and cleanings and everything always "looked good". We left the East Mountains and started seeing a dentist in Albuquerque. At my first visit the new dentist found multiple cavities that should have been found years ago. Unfortunately I am not the only member of my family this happened to, my brother, father and family friend had the exact same experience. So Disappointed ??

The office staff is fantastic. They are always friendly, and work with our large family's complicated schedule for appointments. I have been very happy with the quality of care we've received here, and the hygienists are exceptional.
