Pretty much every bad review on any of the medical sites is true for us wrapped up in one story. The experience at Dr. Sferra's establishment is like a dive bar experience and would also give zero stars if possible. My husband had foot surgery in December of 2021 and is worse than he was prior to the surgery. Dr. Sferra basically fused his whole foot into a block and said we can only wait to see what happens. He could not answer our questions, did not lay out a plan only said he will give it a shot, never shared x-rays even when we asked, and ignored a brewing infection for months, even though we went back several times in the months following the initial surgery to have the possibility of this infection looked at- he said everything was normal... the carelessness led to the hardware having to be removed, severe blood infection, 7days in AGH and home with 42 day double PICC line for the infection that landed in his heart. All for him to say " sorry that this happened to you". The bones, needless to say, did not fuse and the pain is back worse than ever. Dr. Sferra is not truthful and there are so many other instances that occurred during our treatment with Dr. Sferra that make us cringe to this day. Please take this review and all of the others as true and re-consider before this butcher makes life way worse for you.

He was a lot friendlier than my last orthopedic at that one place in Beaver County. However, he barely spent five minutes with me, I was still asking questions as he was walking out the door, and he let me go back to work before my foot was healed enough.

He told me he was the expert for this surgery and he invented the tools to do it. However, he did not let me know of possible negative outcomes. When I complained of serious pain after I should have been healing (5 months after surgery), I was told 'Oh yeah sometimes that happens, you just have to live with it.' NO compassion! When I reached out to office staff for help to get handicap placard, I was told they would send me paperwork and they never did. I asked for help 3 times. I wish I would have read some of these reviews before my surgery.

Takes his and time and talks to you like your a patient. The best I’ve had for a long time.

Dr. Sferra came highly recommended from the top orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon in Chicago. Dr Sferra performed bunion surgery on each foot 4 months apart at the Cleveland Clinic. I traveled to Cranberry/Wexford (100 minute drive) to have my plates removed 5 years later. I could not have asked for better care. I continue to see Dr. Sferra and I know several Ohio patients travel to PA to receive his care. I continue to recommend him and everyone has been thrilled with him.

Unethical person! Run!!!

Lied that he has done a certain procedure! Will not document information in my Chart! Hung up on me! This person has no integrity!!!

Dr.Sferra will only give you a few minutes of his time. He does not explain or advise you what one needs that is best. His staff is very rude. Don't waste your time , get yourself a good Dr. who cares.
