Jason Chechen Chu

Had a routine wellness visit on September 9th at this office that ended up being coded as "New Patient to Establish Care Visit" instead of "Wellness Visit - New Male Patient - Age 18-39". The latter is the correct coding, the former is the incorrect coding. Seemingly the price for the two options is exactly the same but have different insurance implications. I have made many phone calls, dozens of messages, two letters, multiple emails. I have received nothing of substance explaining why this was coded incorrectly. My first attempt trying to get this corrected was on September 22nd and here I am dealing with a dispute that is worth very little money for 6 months now. I am too stubborn to let this go and Centura Health is such an administrative disaster they cannot sort it out. Unfortunately I have to start airing my grievances publicly and I hope this can get resolved.

I have been going to see Dr. Chu for almost a year. I particularly like this office because blood test can be taken right there in the office. No need to leave and go to another place for those labs. Dr Chu is personable and professional.

It was easy to schedule at the last minute. Dr Chu was very prompt and gave me a few suggestions on how to treat my symptoms. I didn’t really get a defined diagnosis but was told it could be Bronchitis. It sounds like time is the only cure for my non stop coughing while treating symptoms.

Everyone is so helpful at this office and Dr. Chu takes his time to answer every question! I recommend him and his staff for all your health needs!

Dr. Chu is a great physician. He listens to my questions and concerns which shows that he cares. Others in his office are friendly and kind. I had a positive experience and I thank everyone

We’ve been taking our kids to Dr. Chu for years to get their annual physicals. He always takes time to find out how things are going with school, sports and friends.

For my only appointment so far it was great. The wait time was decent. Everyone was attentive and straight to the point on answering my questions.

Dr Chu always listens and takes his time to explain everything! He is polite, punctual and an amazing physician!

I hate going to the Doctor, just like I hate haircuts. However, one must do what one must do! I’m so fortunate to have Dr. Jason Chu and the staff at Family Medicine (Ridgeline, Castle Pines) because they simply are the best! I get in quickly, always right in my appointed time or before. A great crew awaits me at the front office and the MA is the best. Wrap that up with a fantastic Doctor and maybe going to the Doctor isn’t so bad! Our family was looking for a new primary care and sports medicine physician in the Castle Pines/Castle Rock area. We are looking no further. We found our medical needs home. Dr. Chu, his MA's and his entire support team are incredible. It is beyond refreshing to know that service, respect, compassion and attention to detail do exist within our medical community today. I appreciate having Dr. Chu and his amazing team as my primary care provider —never fails to provide first-class supportive, compassionate and professional care for my family and I! Thank you for being the best practice!

It was a nightmare! He is totally disconnected and knows nothing about his patients. I had to wait over an hour just to get a flu shot and all he cared about was logging an office visit so he can get paid. Get our of primary are if all you care about is making money!

Every time I saw him, I felt like a new patient as he does not remember anything about you. Claims that diabetes is one of his areas, but I later learned that he is not up on that. Made several errors in regards to prescriptions, diagnosed a knee injury incorrectly, ended up going to a specialist recommended by a p/t. When I asked for a refill on a prescription, he apparently did not look at my records and prescribed the wrong thing. I always felt he was in a hurry to leave the room.

I've had 2 yearly physical exams by Dr. Chu (2016 & 2017). Both were very inadequate, and I have explained that to him to no avail. At my last exam I also had a sciatica PAIN issue, & could hardly lift my leg up. His response; "Lets take care of the physical today & we can schedule another appointment for your leg". EXCUSE ME? Addressing pain comes first in my book! He charged medicare $1,000 for that physical, they paid $800 (avg cost per Google in Denver is $225. He spent 10 min with me. Awful

No more! let me start by saying I love Dr. Traver , she is wonderful! Dr Chu I saw 1x he was good. However the front staff and the practice policies are not ones I will continue to tolerate. I have had issues with the rudeness, unpolite, ignorance of the front staff but now I find out that they expect you to tolerate waiting to see the Dr. for over a half hour but if you show up 10mins past the appt time, which both my cell phone and my vehicle's clock indicated 10mins they turn you away!!!! NO

Ridgeline Family Medicine is the place to go when you need a Dr. Jason Chu is my primary dr and he is amazing!! Not only is he but also the physician assistants are as well! Michelle Traver, and Kristin Rinn are amazing as well. Mark Christian is an amazing sports medicine dr. They all have great bed side manner, and care about their patience. I have never waited more than 15 mins to be taken back and within 20 to 30 mins being the longest to be out and on my way to carry on with the rest of my day. I have never felt rushed as if they didnt have time for me or as if I was just another number in line. They are amazing with kids as well. My daughter has a medical condition called Herpes simplex Virus 1 and it was Dr Chu who said we needed to take her to childrens hospital because he wasnt exactly sure what it was, it was so bad they thought it was Stephens Johnstons disease. Dr Chu and the PA's all have my vote for the best in patient care and concern for their patience!!! I DO MAKE SURE TO RECOMMEND ANYONE LOOKING FOR A DR. TO GIVE RIDGELINE FAMILY MEDICINE IN CASTLE PINES A TRY. IM POSITIVE YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. I am very fortunate to have found Dr. Chu. He is extremely thorough, kind and knowledgeable. Asked appropriate questions related to my health and quickly made a necessary referral to a specialist.

We could not be happier with Dr. Chu, and the entire Castle Pines office. We love having such a personal relationship with our PCP. He always asks about our family, never seems to be in a rush, and always gives us a thorough explanation regarding our visit. Everyone in the office treats us very well, and we highly recommend Ridgeline Family Medicine!

Dr. Chu helped diagnosis a rare form of arthritis that I have. As a result, my life has been much better with treatment. I already recommended a family member to him and have a high level of confidence in him.

My wife was having to see a Dr. And our Dr. Was not available and so we had Dr. Chu and after helping my wife we both agreed that we would like to have Dr. Chu as our regular Doctor.

Going from my 11yr care from Dr.J.Ruger to Dr.J.Chu felt more than expectingly smooth & comfortable. Dr. Ruger retired & I was referred to Dr.Chu. Dr. Chu has been my all-around physician (regular check ups- my gynecologist.) I prefer sticking to one doctor for all my regular needs & since I started seeing Dr.Chu he has always made me feel comfortable, welcomed, cared for & worth the time for any & all of my needs. Truly grateful & Blessed.

My insurance company assigned me to this doctor. Previously, I had two doctors I liked at Ridgeline who both left because they hated the place. I understood why as I always had to wait at the clinic and the staff was very rude. Finally I was transferred to Dr. Chu. He was very condescending and was more interested in leaving the room. He didn't review my records or my medications and even though I was there only to meet him, he charged me for a full physical. I left Ridgeline finally.

Very good experience with Dr. Chu. He is knowledgeable, capable and straight forward. I would definitely recommend.

He is thorough, personable, and has a great bedside manner. When many physicians call with follow-up information, such as test results, you get the short story and they're off the phone. Dr. Chu has always been very communicative and thorough, and won't hang up until all questions are answered. I think he's great.

Getting someone on the phone not easy. Billing is a nightmare. Even the staff admits that billing is difficult. Staff (Pam) is rude and unprofessional.
