My experiences here have been great. In 2 appts, my issues were resolved. Dr levin is very personable. He is efficient, funny and did my biopsy painlessly, wow! Their billing was based on my insurance. Nothing was done without my consent or understanding. They were able to get me in way quicker than anyone else. I booked with Zocdoc. The pricing is completely unsubstantiated (you can research on your own). Get ready to be billed for things you never asked for and never agreed to

$250 wasted. I HAD CANCER AND HE DID NOTHING. Levin is a complete narcissist, and incorrectly diagnosed me without a biopsy. He said I had plaque psoriasis, but if he had actually examined the spot on my leg, he would have noticed the severe indentation, miscoloration, abnormal borders, etc. Long story short, I immediately got a second recommendation and biopsy and it was confirmed carcinoma. THIS MAN INCORRECTLY DIAGNOSED ME WITH PSORIASIS WHEN I HAD SKIN CANCER. Also, he examined my skin for other spots, and remarked on my hair loss. He said my depo-provera was to blame. I only started depo 8 months ago, and my hair loss occurred over 10 years ago. But he just jumps to conclusions rather than considering factors. This guy needs to go back to med school. He has a total know-it-all attitude and interrupted me when I tried to speak to him about my concerns. He never examined me fully, and completely ignored my request for chemo prevention due to excessive family history of cancer. Do not go here. Very professional and knowledgeable. He was also very friendly, thorough, and efficient. I had hardly any wait. I am a physician myself and would highly recommend Dr. Jay Levin.

I've read some of the negative reviews. This is a Doctor's visit, not a playdate. Dr. Levin is fine. He is fast, professional and often funny. But the main thing is that he is one of the most respected Doctors in his field. I met my eye doctor in Dr. Levin's waiting room. And I've not experienced long wait times either.

READ THE REVIEWS! Dr. Jay Levin is shady! I'm so disappointed that I didn't read reviews before going to this practice. If I had, I would never have gone to this practice because he pulled the same unprofessional and illegal scam on me. He came into the room and immediately starting freezing sun spots off my back. I have never discussed or had this procedure done with any dermatologist, and I had never seen Dr. Levin in my life. I had to stop him and ask him what he was doing. He never asked my permission or consent, and as I said, we never discussed him doing this to me. Removing sun spots is a purely cosmetic procedure, which I why I received a bill in the mail about a month later. It had not been run through insurance because it was cosmetic, and he was charging me the full amount for a procedure I didn't want! I have been disputing this bill for months. Of course, his office always said he would call back, and he never did. The horrible office manager and billing department only perpetuated his dishonest activities. I have called every bureau and department to report him and try to get my issue resolved, but unfortunately, they could not help with a billing issue. At least his actions are now documented with all of these agencies. If he continues to receive these same complaints, they will investigate, and hopefully, he will lose his license. It is disgusting what he is getting away with, and he also will not release my records or consent forms to me. I wonder why! I have since found a much more reputable and very professional practice at Live Oak Dermatology. I had to end up paying the bill because he sent it to collections, and I didn't want this idiot affecting my credit. BEWARE! DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE, unless you want to pay for unwanted procedures and deal with a completely unethical and corrupt team.

Someone else comes to take me back to the room for my visit. This young man was very friendly easy to talk to and has a great personality. Then Dr Levin comes in. Still doesn't introduce himself to me. He was not wearing a mask or gloves. We are in a pandemic! Begins the exam not saying a single word to me. He removes the mask off my face without asking me. I can't explain how angry that me, because again pandemic! And again he is not wearing gloves or a mask and he less that 3 feet from my face and breathing in my face. I'm a high risk person. I felt completely violated.

He doesn't listen to his patients. He tried to tell me I have diabetes because I am overweight. I don't have diabetes. And he refused to listen to me say I don't have it. He has zero bedside manners. He made decisions with out even talking to me about what I wanted to do. This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with any doctor. I will never return to his office.

After receiving the bill, I called the office to ask about the bill which I thought was for a different procedure because it was labeled as “drainage of cyst” - there was no draining involved, I just got a needle jolted in my skin without asking? Anyways - the office did nothing to help with my concerns except pass me on to the billing department who did an OUTSTANDING job at ruining my day so atleast they can do something right? The biller also said I should allow the doctor to do things to me that he thinks are best. Even though the doctor is the one who told me I didn’t need to do anything to get rid of it.... literally they just stole $200 out of my pocket and the spot is still on my body. Chelsie Rogers, PA-C was so professional in helping my daughter and I with our skin issues. I will keep coming back for our skin treatment. I have seen wonderful results with our skin. Plus, you can get an appointment immediately and never a long wait!

He also brings some humor to the table which is awesome to lighten the conversation. Dr Levin's staff was expecting me, checked my ID, reviewed my reason for the appointment and then with little wait took me to an exam room. I didn't waited less than 10 minutes until Dr Levin came in with his assistant. He checked me over, explained what he was going to do and why. I was given post-op instructions and a prescription sent to my pharmacy. Everything went smoothly and in a professional manner. I would recommend this doctor to anyone. Wonderful he has been our Dr for years would not even think about using anyone else. The first visit my wife made he found Melanoma in his early stages probably saved her life. He is a great doctor

I have been looking for several weeks for a Dermatologist who could repair my ear lobes. I was highly recommend to this do Dr Jay Levin. Upon my first visit, I was greeted in a very proffessional, well rounded staff. I completed all my paperwork and within miniutes i was in the exam room (my appointment was at 2:30, but I was seen 15 minutes before which made the experience even better). Dr Levin explained the procedure and the outcome to me. My follow up visit was to remove the sutures 2 weeks later. The office environment once again was clean, professional, caring. I would highly recommend this Doctor to anyone seeking minor skin procedures. I also scheduled for other skin problems I was so happy with my results.

Very bad please be aware of what your getting into. The Dr. is unprofessional, the staff is A joke and the office manager takes his time refunding money that should’ve never been collected to begin with. Please do your research before going here.

First class medical professionals who know their stuff. Office recently moved to expanded redecorated suite in the same complex. Have used Dr Levin for many years for ongoing skin issues and he always is attentive and accurate in diagnosis.

My mistake I didn't read the reviews before going. Dr. Levin was very unprofessional. Made an appointment with doctor Levin for a second visit. I went there...he came in the room for 1 minute and left. After, another doctor came and consult me...what was that? I made the appointment with him and nobody said anything about the change. I have had two appointments with Dr. Levin. The first was for a complete skin screening which was the most thorough that I have ever experienced. The second was a follow-up one week later. They made me feel welcomed and took the time to get to know me and gave me the opportunity to get to know them. i was a first time patient with Dr. Levin office and it was an awesome experience and I received some great information and treatments as well. he told a few jokes that made the visit even more fun. if you need a Dermatologist Dr. Levin is the doctor to see and his office staff was very nice and pleasant

I saw him for the first and last time about 20 years ago. Looking at the ratings tells me he hasn't improved much. Terrible bedside manner and gave me an overall feeling of distrust. I recommend avoiding him at all cost unless he is your last and only choice, and even then I would still be very hesitant. Go see a 5 star rated dermatologist. The fact that he has more 1 star rating than all the other stars combined says it all.

I leave this office feeling very unsatisfied each time I come. Dr. Levin was cold and impersonal. I don't feel as though he has my best interests in mind and I will not be coming back.

I should have definitely read these reviews before going. I would have saved a TON of money. I went here for a second opinion. The first visit he asked a few questions and wrote me a prescription. After filling the prescription and experiencing some sort of reaction - I called and asked to be seen again. While with the nurse in room we listen to an extremely unhappy customer screaming at Dr Levin - it got so bad that the office called security. I thought the patient was crazy - little did I think I would end up agreeing with her. He finally came in and I explained the reaction I had and he stated that he gave me the wrong prescription. So another $90 co-pay and prescription cost down the drain. He sprayed me with some nitrogen oxygen and had the nurse poke me with a Q-tip. I thought my wallet was going to take a break. Nope. I later received a bill in the mail for $150.00. Let me remind you that I had already "wasted" $180.00 in co-pay expenses. I called the office to see if this was a mistake and the rude gentleman I spoke with on the phone told me that it was for the spray and culture they took. I didn't have a choice for these "procedures" as they were done so quickly - I didn't think anything of it. As I told this "kind" gentleman on the phone this, he said "Oh so now you're telling the doctor how to do his job". Inexcusable, I asked to speak with someone else. After being placed on hold for five minutes our call got "disconnected". I called back and spoke with the Office Manager. He seemed to understand my concern (what I thought) and said he would speak to the doctor and call me back. Similar to many other reviews - I never heard back. Levin is a dick but the staff is nice.

I had to change dermatologists for the family (includes teenage boys) several years ago when my long term derm no longer took my insurance plan. When reading reviews around the web I was impressed with several comments about Dr. Levin and his office staff. There were too many dermatologists in the Perimeter Area whose reviewers told folks to "bring a book" & consistently patients ALWAYS seemed to wait. Also comments about a doctor's staff supporting or NOT the current difficult insurance environment for dermatology drugs stood out to me. I have found Dr. Levin's office personnel to ALWAYS be incredibly helpful & patient with my questions & efforts to secure a recommended prescription at a reasonable cost. As well, although I waited to see the doctor on occasion, it has not been a regular occurance & understandable the times it occurred. Dr. Levin is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and effective. His skills & expertise have always been on target for all 4 patients in our family. We LOVED his PA ,Taylor, and look forward to meeting the new PA, Chelsea. It's nice not to have a HUGE practice to wade through for my dermatology needs. I've had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Levin. He's been effective in treating my precancerous skin cells & is extremely nice. I had what I thought was an abnormal dent on one side of my nose and he said not to be so self conscious and that they are not only common they are completely normal. I would recommend him to anyone. Dr. Levin is a terrific dermatologist, a real doctor's doctor. If you are going for skin cancer screening, to cure a skin condition, or to have a thorough exam from one of Atlanta's top pros, you should absolutely see Dr. Levin. If you are going to sit in a fancy waiting room, experience zero wait times, or get a hug, you should try a newer doctor who is still struggling to find patients, gain experience, and build a business.

A great Doctor. I have never felt rushed. Funny and relaxing personality. I have been to many other Dermatologists in Atalanta and he is the best.

I would rate this office at 0 if I could! Extremely QUESTIONABLE (not to say made up) pricing of visits/procedures. Doctors are as good as any other doctors (nothing special). LONG WAITS! Parking is NOT validated!

After seeing 3 doctors for what I thought was a simple infection as the result of a bug bite, I finally was referred to Dr. Levin. He and his PA, Taylor, diagnosed and fixed the problem immediately. I cannot ay enough good about Dr. Levin and his entire staff. Ann

DO NOT USE DR. LEVIN!!! Rudest man I've ever met! Wait times are terrible and then he grunts a few words at you before he rushes through your appointment. Plus he reuses leftover Botox from previous patients. Just an overall terrible experience. He deserves a -5 rating.

Please do not go to this office. The PA-C was amazing and did a great job, but the office staff especially the business manager were awful. I have never been treated so rudely by any manager AKA office assistant before. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

Smart, direct and great 'bedside' manner. Makes you feel at ease and explains things in real lay person language. Funny and engaging not bad for someone so well educated!

I have been to his office twice for a simple cyst on my eye lid. He did 2 surgeries, both unsuccessful and made it even worse. The first time, he couldn't even inject the needle right and I felt his knife and scream when he was cutting my eye lid. He could have made a better career if he was a butcher. Then I had to go to another "real" doctor to fix what he wasn't able to. Ah, one addition, he follows up with his patience for only extra bills that were not asked when you were in the office. Dr. Levin is the BEST Dermatologist in Atlanta. I have been seeing Dr. Levin since I moved back to Atlanta (17 years ago) and when I lived here in the 80's his beloved father was my Dermatologist. When for a short period my insurance was not taken by his practice, he went out of his way to make accommodation for me (even removed a mole for a minimal fee) until I was able to switch to a plan accepted by his practice. He is a BRILLIANT doctor, but is also no nonsense. If you want to be treated with kid gloves and want to be petted - he is NOT your guy. I find his warm but blunt manner rather refreshing, and believe that it has led to accurate diagnosis, and he has suggested up-to-date treatment plans.. He has resisted overtures from large medical groups - which is why he can still provide the highly specialized care that he does. He balances the former with always being concerned about patient wait times. I love Dr. Levin and his entire staff. Dr. Levin is the BEST Dermatologist in Atlanta.
