Dr. Jay A. Mazel

Dr. Mazel takes the time to explain a procedure that a patient must undergo. He has a personable style to which people can relate. If you want a down-to-earth, non-arrogant/condescending doctor, you want this guy. Further, he has the competence required for his specialty.

I had an appointment on 12/13/2019 and was told that I needed 2 days in the hospital for tests and observation. This couldn’t wait until after the holidays and I would receive a call to schedule. I called 12/17/2019 and was told that I would receive a call by 12/20/2019, nothing. I called again 12/30/2019 and was told to expect a call by 01/03/2019, nothing. I just made an appointment with another doctor, but I have to wait six weeks. In all fairness I didn’t ask which holiday he was referencing. I liked the doctor, but I fired his office.

Dr. Mazel is very knowledgeable and caring. He asks good questions and listens. He is very reassuring and clear about his treatment plan. I am very fortunate and have put my health in his hands. I highly recommend Dr. Mazel.

Dr. Mazel is one of the top electrophysiologist cardiologists in the DC metropolitan region. He has been treating me quite successfully for atrial fibrillation for 11 years and his use of medications and life style change recommendations are outstanding. He also possesses a very reassuring and friendly patient manner. He has my top recommendation!
