I am going in for ankle surgery and will be documenting my journey of recovery. This is a serious foot injury with seven fractures and knowing that I need surgery, I feel confident in Dr. Granata. If I could post pictures I would because my foot is an ugly mess.

I was very sceptical about going to another Bone and Joint Doctor. But, this office made you feel so welcome from the moment you walked in the office. The receptionist greeted me and was very friendly, the entire staff from beginning to end was awesome. The Doctor was very encouraging and really explained the reason why I was in a lot pain and what I needed to do to better my situation. I would definitely recommend this facility. Dr Granata is very thorough. He spends time evaluating your specific issues, comes up with a plan to address your pain and follows through with you. His staff is top notch and friendly , from the receptionist, his nursing assistant, x-ray tech, to the physical therapy staff, who are amazing. It is unfortunate that Medicaid Anthem Blue Cross does not cover PT through them. They are far and away superior to ATI, whom I find to be worthless! I would give BBJ 100 stars if I could. Dr. Granata is pretty amazing. I was completely unsure about what was going to happen at my appointment and expected the worse outcome. My knee is fractured and I have torn ligaments as well. Instead of jumping right to wanting to perform surgery, he gave me a timeline for my knee as to what should be done such as physical therapy. I was so relieved because surgery is not an option that I want. The only way I would have to get surgery, is if physical therapy was unsuccessful. I have 7 children and surgery would keep me with more down time and Dr. Granata made a planned timeline that he thinks will have a successful outcome. Dr. Granata is also extremely down to earth and I felt extremely comfortable. I was so embarrassed because the bottom of my socks were dirty. I can't bend down to put socks on every single day because my knee and leg are so stiff, so putting on socks and shoes is quite the challenge. I had to do a movement exercise that lasted for just a couple of seconds with my toe, so the doctor could see by the toe exercise, if I had any back problems. I was so embarrassed with him seeing my dirty sock, and he didn't make it seem or give the impression like "oh my God, look at her dirty sock", the doctor just acted completely normal and I didn't feel so embarrassed. EXCELLENT all the way around!! Fast check-in in a nice spacious office! Very easy to social distance and felt comfortable and safe. All rooms were constantly being wiped clean. Dr Granata found and diagnosed my issue almost right away, with exrays and instant results to view! My own internet self diagnoses was completely wrong. I'm so happy I went in and I'm already feeling 100% with easy physical therapy stretches just days after my 1st visit. EXCELLENT all the way around!! Fast check-in in a nice spacious office! Extremely professional yet friendly staff. I had confidence from the moment I walked in. I was a patient at SCOI in LA for sport injuries for too many years. I felt that level of knowledge, service and confidence. I feel like my road to recovery has a clear and concise path thanks to Dr. Granata and his staff.

Dr. Granata is extremely experienced in his area. I had a severely deformed broken toe that we thought may need surgery, but he was able to get it aligned and healing in just a few weeks. Very personable as well and answered my questions. The only thing I didn't like was that he did not wear a mask.

I was seen today by Dr. Granata for a fracture of my ankle. The patient care that was provided to me was EXCEPTIONAL! The front desk staff was very professional and attentive. The X-ray tech was also very professional. Dr. Granata has outstanding bedside manner. He truly cares about his patients and their health. My First visit I knew I was going to get the best care. Dr Granata is knowledgeable and very caring very nice.. The staff is wonderful. I had my First visit today October 19, 2020 for the Second Opinion of my Bunion right foot surgery that have been than twice (Nov 22, 2019 and June 17, 2020) and still having numbness and tingling for almost a year ever since the last doctor treated me. Amazing staff and care! Everyone was so sweet! I was told from the ER I didn't have a broken bone. I got a second opinion and I'm glad I did. I have three fractures in my ankle! Honestly, the best doctor I have met so far. He explains everything in layman’s terms, takes his time listening and gives honest advice. He is down to earth and knows his stuff.

Horrible horrible ongoing experience. What started as an ankle fracture has now turned to a fracture that wont heal and continuous bouts of cellulitis. I would recommend no one to this facility ever in life. I will be glad when my experience here is a distant memory which will probably be never since I know I will have long term issues due to the decaying tissue in my foot.

Dr. Granata performed surgery on a crushed heel and ankle in 2015, and even today he greets me personally & understands my spinal conditions. His diagnosis is accurate to a 'T,' and his treatments far exceed that of my pain management & physical therapy providers, or of any other physician. What a pleasure & reassurance to have such a fine doctor - I'm proud to boast of his excellence. No one can take the place of Dr. Jaymes Granata & Dr. Angela Granata.

Michelle at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. The MA was very professional. I thought I would be primarily seeing DR Angela Granata who is a Podiatrist, because I was there for wounds on my feet. But it turns out that everything in the clinic is run through the husband DR Jaymes Granata who is an Orthopedic Surgeon. Angela was nice and cleaned up my wounds. Jaymes was rude, and arrogant. When I was explaining the treatment plan I had with my former Podiatrist in Oregon he said "well you are here for my opinion now". I asked several questions about my foot and a large bone spur. I was totally ignored and didn't get an adequate answer and it was brushed off. He comes off as very narcissistic and his opinion is the only thing that matters. Michelle at the front desk was the only person who was wearing a mask in the clinic, which I find odd for a medical practice. I would see DR Angela again but since everything is run through DR Jaymes Granata I will not be going back.
