Dr. Jeanne N Stryker

A dear friend recently underwent surgery with Dr. Stryker for stage 3C breast cancer. In my mind, when you have performed an invasive and life altering surgical procedure on another human being, you would answer the phone when their oncologist calls you from the ER a few days later (when the patient was experiencing serious life threatening complications). One would expect that a surgeon who truly cared for the wellbeing of her patients would also answer the phone, or at least return one of the numerous messages left from the patients deeply concerned family and friends (in the days immediately post op). Instead we were told that she was at a seminar or conference. The other providers (experienced surgeons and oncologists) treating our friend were more than perplexed by the post-op reports when they had a chance to review them after the procedure. Of course I understand that Dr.’s are allowed differences in opinion, but we were hoping that her care providers would be in communication with one another about her course of treatment. What was more disconcerting however was that upon the other clinicians, and ourselves reaching out to Dr. Stryker, she failed to pick up a single call, or return a single message. She also failed to provide a functioning emergency contact number-merely a forwarding Google voice number. She also refused to sign the accompanying temporary disability forms for the two weeks that our friend was expected to recover. What reason could any surgeon have to refuse those signatures in a case like this? Its not like it was some minor procedure being recovered from. Not only has a friend’s care and outlook been seriously compromised, but the mental stress on the patient from not being able to get ahold of the person who recently had their hands inside her is not doing anyone any favors either. So do your self one (a favor), and look elsewhere for care, if care and peace of mind is what you are looking for. Dr. Stryker is an incredivle doctor. She went above and beyond for me when i was diagnosed with cancer. I was ubable to afford surgery and the expensive meds i needed and she funded it herself. She still helps me out and ive never been able to repay her. Becaise of Dr. Stryker im beating cancer. One of the best in the world.

Dr. Stryker performed two IR procedures on me and was extremely active and attentive in follow up and in conferring with my gyn/oncologist and PCP to ensure my most expedient healing and continued care. She has also performed extremely effective procedures for a family member. She continues to monitor and mentor my healing journey, with kindness and extraordinary intelligence. I highly value and recommend her. Dr Stryker performed a cryoablation procedure on my breast cancer tumor with professionalism and a caring approach that brought me peace of mind and comfort. Her follow up and insights helped guide me in the right direction for ongoing care and the follow on lumpectomy showed no signs of cancer including in the tumor itself. I would highly recommend Dr Stryker as a professional who is not afraid to think outside the box. Her humanity by meeting me at my local library to educate me and her talent was a blessing that I am grateful for. Dr. Stryker has been an absolute blessing to my healing journey. She performed IR on my breast and the tumors became inactive! Not only was she professional and caring, but she went above and beyond in my pre, and post care. She even spoke with other doctors on my team for coordination on my behalf. Her follow up calls and my visits with her made me feel like she was caring for a member of her own family. Her faith in God and her mission to help others are reasons alone to recommend her to any patients for treatment.
