Today was a preop visit. Went a little early and was taken right in. Met with his PA (Kenny) who was very knowledgeable. Went over my health record and medications. Informed me what to expect after surgery, how to manage pain, and answered all of my questions. Staff (Thelma) was very courteous and wished me well.

Very professional and caring. Allowed time to address questions and concerns. Conveys a sense of confidence and trustworthiness. Staff was very efficient.

Rush, rush, rush. He hardly gave us any info and said that he was very busy and had 53 patients to see on that day. He gave us some pamphlets to read about my condition and possible surgery, and contact info for his office, to call if we wanted more info or to schedule the surgery. AWFUL bedside manner. I am SO GLAD and fortunate that there are other surgeons available for me.

Dr. Harpstrite’s a straightforward professional medical doctor who’s surgical prowess led to my successful total hip replacement surgery in 2021. It was honestly pain free after about 2-3 days following surgery with little medication. Now one year later, I’m grateful to be walking quite well and absolutely pain free.

Dr. Harpstrite provided the right advice for me as I navigate a successful right hip surgery 6 weeks ago and 4 weeks of PT. His advice to walk more as the best therapy helped me see that I could tone down the aggressive PT given to me with 3 more weeks added in. Also as I face another surgery (opposite foot & ankle) he helped me see that it would be up to how I felt (how strong my right leg became) before going ahead with a different orthopedic surgeon.

Kimo is the best, replaced my knee 10 years ago, have been hard on it, still going strong, better than the other one

The pain in my hip is gone and I'm happily riding my horse again. Case closed. :-)

Dr. Kimo is not an anxious person just wanting to perform surgery. He said that if I wasn’t in pain or at loss in my quality of life, then wait until my knee really starts to affect me. No need to rush. True professional.

I was very fortunate to have Dr. Harpstrite as my surgeon for a total knee replacement. No need to worry or be nervous with Dr. H. He is at the top of his game, an amazing surgeon, truly professional and great bed side manner. I have healed well, no major issues, and when I had questions, the staff was wonderful in getting me the answers I needed. Do your exercises, listen to his directions, and you will benefit from this surgeons amazing skills. Just consider yourself very lucky to be in his hands. I highly recommend him. I've been a patient of Dr Harpstrite since 2014 I trusted him with my knee surgery and I've been very happy with the results. Now I need him for my other knee. I know I'm in good hands.

First visit. Doctor spent less than 5 minutes and only glanced at my ex-ray. He did not answer my questions or concerns. ( I am considering surgery) He left the room and saw another patient. First Impression$$$$$$

Dr. Harpstrite clearly explained the procedure, provided the data supporting the techniques and practices planned and willingly answered all my questions, so I was very comfortable going into surgery and afterwards. My recovery is going well so far and I believe the organization and advanced planning, as well as surgeon skills, play a big part in that.

Dr. Harpstrite changes lives. He gave me 2 bionic hips and a new lease on life. Instead of struggling around in pain, I now walk a mile with ease. No cane. No walker. No wheelchair. No complaints. I went in for my 6-month follow up checkup on my right hip replacement surgery. Dr. Harpstrite checked my strength and flexibility of my hip and asked about my exercise routine. He also gave me more suggestions on getting my exercise routine more frequent to help me get into better shape. He also gave me some advice and a prescription for Physical Therapy on my right shoulder that he diagnosed as tendinitis of the rotator cuff, since I asked him on this visit, as well. I’ll go to my six week physical therapy for my shoulder and be back for my next appointment scheduled in June to monitor the progress of my hip replacement surgery.

Office staff is well organized. Didn't have to wait long. Dr Harpstrite was very cordial, and explained in terms I can understand.

I was back on my feet as Dr. Harpstrite said I would be following cortisone treatment for spinal stenosis. I had my follow up visit today and thankfully went in with zero pain. Dr. Harpstrite then explained how I will stay that way by diligently practicing my stretching exercises.

Efficient, smart, and to the point. Dr. Harpstrite doesn't waste time. After asking specific questions and physical evaluation regarding the area of my pain, he summarized his conclusion on paper for me, made treatment recommendations and referred me to physical therapy. He is also following up with a blood test to r/o any infection.

Very good doctor and knowledgeable. Explained what was needed for my joint problem and showed me a model. The only thing I didn’t care for was seemed like he was kinda rushing me out the door. I know he has other patients to see so I guess my time was done. Didn’t say bye or take care. Only said my assistants will do everything and then left.

The office was very busy and not everything was ready for him even though I told the girl outside to make sure that the MRI was ready for his review. Luckily, I advocated to for myself to get the CD of X-ray that was don’t already, otherwise I would have to do it again. But after I told him, he went out and got everything and explained it to me. He was quick once he got everything.

Dr. Harpstrite spent time with me, explaining why I had hip pain and what I could do about it. He was very encouraging and I left feeling much better.

Dr. Harpstrite is direct to the point and very knowledgeable. If you don't know he explains thoroughly. He even shows you with a model and shows you how it should be compared to what you have.

Visit with the doctor was great. Too bad have to wait pretty long to get to see him.

Dr. Harpstrite explained my options and recommended that I take a cortisone shot. We discussed side effects and how long the shot would take to start working. He answered all of my questions.

I wouldn’t want anyone else to do my hip replacement! I was the surgeon on my right hip and now it is time for my left hip (after the Covid allows it!) The visit was excellent! The staff is so well organized and Dr. Harpstrite was very punctual. He explained my procedure in detail, and when I had to get an X-ray, it was right across the hall, no waiting. Very happy!

I was so pleased meeting Dr. Harpstrite. My appointment was at 2:30 and within a few minutes, he came in greeted me in a friendly, and engaging manner. Totally professional, and he was on time! I really liked that he didn’t rush, and took the time to show me the different parts of the knee, and explaining what the procedure would be like for knee replacement surgery. He didn’t sugar coat what the surgery would be like, and also explained very clearly what recovery may feel like. I feel confident that he’ll take absolutely good care of me. Great doctor

Had X-rays taken of my knees before the examination. Dr Harpstrite showed me the xrays & explained why I was having some pain in my left knee which had a knee replacement 15 years ago. Surgery not needed at this time & referred me for physical therapy to strengthen the knee.

Have not seen the doctor for over a month! Difficult to rate a non visit.

Dr. Harpstrite was very thorough with his detailed explanations of cause, effect and how and what surgery will do to alleviate the pain with a hip replacement surgery. He also explained what to expect and what is required after the surgery. His knowledge, experience and kindness made me feel comfortable and confident to proceed with the surgery.

Doctor was great as usual. It just took a long time for him to see me Over an hour.
