My daughter was being treated by Dr Chang when she could no longer be treated in pediatric endocrinology. Dr Chang warned us that he was arrogant but that doesn’t even describe him accurately. My daughter had thyroid cancer at 13 and a reoccurrence at 17 but when we started to see him he talked to my daughter as if she knew nothing about what was going on and avoided answering questions by showing us the hand to shush us. We had to ask the nurses on bloodwork results. The final straw was changing medication and finding out that he did this when we went to pick up, difference in co-pay was way higher but when your bought off by pharmaceutical what do you expect. When confronted about all of these mannerisms he dismissed her treatment and said she could be treated by her PCP and that was the last time we had to travel 50 miles to see this arrogant Dr. I don’t recommend this Dr at all.

READ ME. After seeing his 3/5 rating, my visit was off to a bad start before I even walked in the door. To add, I was an already critical ER nurse. THIS DOCTOR WAS GREAT. He explained everything in detail, answered our questions with ease, listened to our concerns, and didn't even get perturbed when I questioned the medicine he chose for treatment. He even made a joke or two. It was a great visit and all the staff (Dr. included) superceded my expectations.

Dr. Chang is an excellent doctor. He works very hard to manage my ongoing problems with my diabetes. He is the one who found my thyroid cancer and is providing care for me with living without a thyroid along with my diabetes. He is the best. His staff is excellent and caring.

As others point out, Dr. Chang doesn't have much bedside manner. However, he will listen if you speak up. He's a hard read but tries to do his best. His specialty is diabetes but I see him for Pcos. He's one of the few in his field that sees Pcos as a medical condition and treats it.

Dr Chang identified and treated my condition even before my blood results came back. He could tell right away I wasn’t getting the correct levels of medicine which I had been telling my Drs for year, but it fell on deaf ears until I came to him. Since then I’ve made SO much progress dealing with my issues and I am so thankful. Now he can be short and is not a big talker, but he is great at what he does and always takes care of my needs.

I had an untreated thyroid storm that landed me in the ER twice. I had no medication and I am the mother of a baby. No one would see me (St Louis: 6 month wait, or pay $2,000 to get on schedule; Dr Sfeir wouldn't see me because I lived "outside service area" - nevermind the oath to help people). I am thankful my ER Dr referred me to Dr Chang. He and his staff are caring and understanding. Someone finally listened, figured out what was wrong with me and is helping me. It quite possibly saved me.

I have seen Dr Chang a few times now and he was awesome. He explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. He was kind and his nurses are wonderful as well.

I've been seeing Dr Chang for a few years now and he's amazing. He is not a talker, but he does answer questions and is open to suggestions.

I went to see Dr. Chang a couple of times, each time leaving frustrated, but returned to give the office another chance. The nurse sprayed my blood all over the floor by not following the correct steps for a blood draw. Part of me thinks she could have been drunk. Dr. Chang has poor eye contact, no bed side manner, and walked out of the room each visit without answering my questions, or even saying goodbye. He doesn't seem happy with his work, which is unfortunate.

This was my first visit, and I didn't have to wait very long to see him. He was friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable about my condition. He shared a lot of information with me and took time to answer my and my husband's questions. Definitely put my mind at ease.

I was very pleased with his medical insightfulness. Within the first visit i was impressed with his throughness. During the 2nd and 3rd appointments I realized his personal thoughtfulness. I highly recommend him.
