Reviews for Dr. Jeffrey Bart Friedman
I came in hoping to get answers and I left with more information and a plan on how to move forward. It was a really pleasant experience.
I highly recommend Dr. Friedman. He is knowledgeable and very methodical. I had a fractured knee and he fixed it! He explains very well and answers questions. His office is very busy, but Betty is awesome and explains well too. Thank you!
Dr Friedman was amazing! He really took the time to thoroughly question and examine my knee and really explained everything he was doing and what he found. He also explained why I needed to do certain things to fully benefit my recovery.

Very easy to talk to and explained everything so I could understand. Explained to me what I could do in the future to help my injury.
Great doctor ,,, paid attention to my concerns ,,, a good caring doctor ..
Great staff! Lovely office space. Doctor really listens to his patients and is very educational. Very friendly receptionist!
Dr. Friedman is super knowledgeable. He takes time to understand and explain the issue. I think he works to help patients feel/get better and not for just making money. I would definitely recommend anyone/everyone for any knee related issue.

My mother in law visited the doctor for therapy on her hip. She is feeling so much better and the services provided by the office is so thorough and the staff is wonderful. Thank you for taking care of my mother in law so well.
I rarely take the time to leave a Google review but I felt I needed to share my wonderful experience with Dr. Friedman and his staff. From the moment I walked into the office I was treated like a person and not as a possible procedure/surgery. The office staff were friendly, kind and helpful. The time I waited to see Dr. Friedman was very reasonable. Dr. Friedman was very patient,( I had many questions, thorough( explained my injury showed me the MRI and explained all the medical terminology, and. provided options ) and, seemed very knowledgeable. He truly cares for his patients, and I would highly recommend this doctor. I was sent to him for a workmans comp issue that showed a tear in my supraspinatus shoulder muscle in an MRI. He agreed that it was torn and if I returned to my current role I would exacerbate the tear. Instead of any options of a lighter duty role he suggested I find somewhere else to work! Then he released me to full duty with no physical therapy or anything else to protect myself from further injury! Unbelievable. Dr. Friedman is patient and informative. He takes the time to explain what is going on and answers all questions. His dedication and experience is obvious and shows in how he cares for his patients.
My experience with Jeffery Friedman was terrible. I was sent to him from Worker’s Comp for what I thought was bursitis in my knee; and from the moment he called me in he was rude and short. He didn’t even call my name he just looked at me once he opened the door and said “Well, come on.” And gestured for me to enter. He was short, condescending and talked to me like I was a child. He looked at the CD from my MRI, and then told me nothing was wrong despite me saying that I was experiencing discomfort even during the examination. He brushed off my comment and as he was about to end the appointment asked if I had any questions and I said yes and asked what the heck I had to do to make my knee feel better, and he says, “Ummmm… lose weight. And work out. But working out and losing weight won’t help anything so wear knee pads.” I was shocked and appalled by his response because I’m a pretty small person and I know my weight has nothing to do with how I injured my knee. I will never be returning and I hope that this man is held accountable for his dismissive behavior because I am reading that other people have had similar experiences and I hope to deter anyone who gets referred to this man. Very thorough and to the point. Dr. Friedman was very efficient at identifying the problem and coming up with solutions that would decrease longterm problems. The staff is great and social distancing was great throughout experience.
An amazing doctor. Dr. Friedman made me feel comfortable and cared for at all times. Definitely put my health first.
My experience with Dr. Friedman has been a traumatic one. The first time I visited him, he seemed bothered from the start. As I explained my pain to him and how bad it was, he brushed it off as arthritis. I was even crying as I explained my level of pain and emotional pain to him and the inability to do my daily activities, and the effect it had on my life in general. I went on to explain that I had an annular tear in my spine due to a fall I had, and he completely disregarded it and did not acknowledge it. His demeanor was short and indifferent. He asked me to do some bends and twists and tested my reflexes, which I did, and told me "you're going to therapy and that's it," as if there was nothing that could be done about this pain that I had not previously felt before. His response was cold and unsympathetic. It felt as if none of what I had to say about my pain mattered. My second time seeing Dr. Friedman after said therapy, was a horrible experience. I did the same bends and twists, and then he asked me to lay down. Keep in mind, I struggle to walk due to this pain. He proceeded to abruptly extend one of legs fully straight, and without hesitation forcefully pushed my leg upwards. I screamed and cried from the pain, telling him that it hurts. My cries were so loud that I saw the secretary peek in to see what was going on. Instead of stopping or proceeding carefully, he continued to do the same thing to my next leg, with no sympathy. I continued to scream and cry. He then left me there, did not apologize, did not ask how I felt, did not assist me to get off the bed, and went to his computer without saying a word with his back to me. I stayed laying there for about 5 minutes. I managed to get myself into a chair in the room, and called my husband and asked him to take me out of here. The only thing Dr. Friedman said to me after all of this was "you can wait outside." Despite him being incredibly unsympathetic, indifferent and rude, I did not expect to be both emotionally and physically hurt in this way, especially by a doctor. He clearly does not follow the Hippocratic oath. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. My experience with Dr. Friedman has been a traumatic one. I went to see Dr. Friedman on a Worker’s Comp case for my knee. I have a history of problems with my knee and he was incredibly thorough with understanding and taking notes on it all. He explained in terms I could understand what has been happening and how this latest injury may not have caused major damage but the time spent resting it has caused atrophy and will allow for more injuries to occur. His hands on checks of the joint where quick but thorough, and he was incredibly informative. He made sure I was happy with the plan of treatment and when I returned to be released to full duty he gave me tips to continue building my muscles to try to avoid further injuries. Hello I visited this Dr. on Workers Comp I was so upset when I went in with my CT scan of my knee. CT showed blunting and tearing is two meniscus.also some knee joint effusion. This so called Dr Jeffrey Friedman came in the room without introducing himself, the first word out of his mouth was YOU HAVE NOTHING! Get it straight.. I went in tears Because I was in so much pain that day he said all you have is arthritis. He is ugly rude & has or shows no empathy. I would never recommend him to anyone.
My mother went here after she got a frozen shoulder and she said that the receptionist was rude and Dr.Friedman is incompetent and told her that she "couldn't be fixed." Would not recommend.
I have a workers comp case and was asked to see dr Friedman and the first visit was ok even though the receptionist seems as if she was bothered, no personality whatsoever, no greeting or nothing. I had to wait almost an hr to be seen for a 15 min.appt He then referred me to select physical therapy which they are great and thorough. Second appt with dr Friedman I was running late due to the fact I was upstairs completing my physical therapy and waiting for my paper work to provide to him, and his receptionist calls and ask if I was going to the appt and that I was scheduled for that day, I said yes, that I will be downstairs shortly bcs I was getting the paper work. She said, well, I already have the next appt here and you’re gonna have to wait and hung up the phone. She was so rude. So I go downstairs and ring the doorbell to go in and I could clearly hear her speaking to someone else. She didn’t respond. Second time I ring the doorbell and again I could hear her speaking and nothing, she didn’t open the door. I then start calling the office and it goes straight to vm. I start knocking on the door. No response again. Mind you I’m 8 months pregnant standing outside wondering if I should just stand there and wait or leave. I call my adjuster to let them know about the situation and they too couldn’t even get in contact with them. I do not recommend this place whatsoever. I’m looking for another doc ASAP!!!! Would not consider Friedman a doctor by any stretch of the imagination. For starters what kind of doctor shows up 10 minutes after his first patients appointment and walks past the patient waiting in the hall? Upon finally gaining entrance into the office I was greeted by his rude witch of a secretary who couldn’t smile if her life depended on it. From there I had an exam with Jefferey that was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced at a doctors office. This guy has no bedside manner and has no business being a doctor. He made it very clear that I was just a number to him and that he doesn’t actually care about his patients. If you care about your health DO NOT go see this incompetent, intolerable loser. Was seen by Dr. Friedman due to a workers comp case and after a month of pain and not knowing what was wrong he took the time to explain and showed me on my MRI the reason why I had pain in my knee. I appreciate you taking the time to explain and making sure to ask if I had any questions unanswered.. Thank you
Experience is excellent, front office staff very knowledgeable and pleasant professional! Dr. Patience to provide educational information resources regarding your health care needs. Blessings to you and your family Dr. Friedman.
If you are going for Workers Comp. DO NOT GO!!! They are extremely inefficient, as well Friedman is extremely rude and acts like he is above you, if you do not use the medically correct words for surgeries or parts of the body he will literally interrupt you mid sentence and keep doing it until you say the “doctor term” for it. I have MRI’s all saying j have a meniscus tear and he brushed me off and said bc I’m overweight that’s all it is and there’s nothing wrong with me when I could barely walk into his office for the pain I was in. Stuck me in physical therapy for 4 weeks which only made it worse then told me “oh well I don’t know what else i can do for you. I don’t know what’s wrong” extremely rude and inconsiderate. I have been sitting in the waiting room for over an hour and a half now. I had a simple follow up appointment - even got here early to fill out the paperwork. If you value your time, it can be better spent at a more efficient office. Arrived :10:25am, wasn’t called into a room until 11:46am, then rushed out at 12:05pm. Dr. Friedman was very abrasive, answered a phone call in the middle of my appointment, and was in an extreme rush to get his patients in and out. I heard him specifically yelling at a woman in the hallway when she could not immediately tell him the exact dose of medicine she was on and told her to “come back when she did know.” I can guarantee that I’ll never be coming here ever again. Very positive experience. Doctor Friedman was very knowledgeable and patient, answering all of my questions to my satisfaction. He has excellent bedside manner, making sure to check how I felt through each step of the examination. I felt my needs and my well-being were a priority. I highly recommend Dr. Friedman.
Dr. Friedman and Betty were so helpful in helping me to feel better! I still have a little ways to go, but I know they will be there for me:)
This guy is the worst doctor ever when it comes to bedside manner and patient care! It's unfortunate that people still are referred to him for care, because his only concern seems to be for financial purposes only. Such a sad fellow.
Rude and slow. They should offer some earplugs or Tylenol rapid release, the TV is SO loud! Never again.
The worst Doctor along with his horrible secretary "Ms Betty" I was send by worker's comp, and of course he wanted to release me right away , thank God I was able to switched him and got my propper diagnose.
This is by FAR the worst dr’s office I’ve been to. BETTY the “receptionist” is beyond rude, and disrespectful. I tried to call multiple times to reschedule my visit, she kept hanging up on me. When she finally decided to talk to me she got extremely rude and started raising her voice at me, REFUSING to re schedule my appt. When I gave her the same treatment she literally hung up on me. WHY IS SHE STILL AN EMPLOYEE AT THIS OFFICE??? The doctor is alright I guess. He diagnosed me with arthritis without looking at discs from my MRI from my skip and fall case and discharged me on the very first appointment.. I would NOT recommend this place. I'm going through workmans comp, and I missed 2 phone calls. I checked my voicemail and got one from Dr. Friedman office.(1030am) The meds I have make me drowsy and I fell asleep. I return the call at 208pm asking to set up an appointment. I was told the next availability would be the 20th of Sept. I asked isn't there anything for tomorrow? The receptionist said, "Well if you answered your phone when we called, we had 4 available opens, now we don't till the 20th." She said so the 20th is our only open day. I began to tell her my knee has to be looked at right away it's been a week, and she told me again sorry we had openings earlier on but you didn't answer your phone. Wednesday is a Jewish holiday and Friday's we aren't open on those days.(So it's my fault? She blames me for not picking up my phone) She said ok, yeah so the 20th, buh bye. Cont...It is so sad, so many people need your help, and you say to them is your own body and use your own insurance. A doctor should be there to cure not make himself more rich just to save money to the insurance. And the sad part is that the law allows that, its like is "ok" to use other peoples insurance that is Fraud and God does not like that. A lot of doctors have make changes in their life for good..I hope Mr. Friedman with all your respect you can change your life for GOOD!

Dr. Friedman's professionalism and expertise shines through in his straightforward manner. He carefully explained the course of action and urged me to be patient in my recovery. He was very generous with his time during my visits, addressing all of my concerns. His office staff is very efficient and friendly. My injury made me anxious; having the right doctor allayed that concern.
1. He leaves the door open while he makes examinations. I heard every word of the discussion he had with the patient before me from his waiting room. He examined my injury through my blue jeans because he was running behind.

This has got to be one of the rudest offices and doctors I've been to. First of all the secretary, Betty, is the rudest secretary I have ever encountered. She has no manners, and obviously has no Customer Service experience. Every time I had to called (and believe me I dreaded calling this place), she will always put me on hold without asking, and hung up on multiple occasions. This secretary, needs to learned how to be compassionate and caring, she is working in the health industry. And the Dr. Friedman, he is very rude, every time he walks in the room he will look in to all of his papers, and notes, without talking to you. I injured my back, and really don't have any idea why workers comp would referred me to this doctor, when his specialty is with knees and shoulders. He kept sending me to physical therapy, which didn't do anything for me, I kept telling him that it was not working, but he didn't wanted to try anything else. After 3 months of all of this, he finally released me, without wanting to try anything else. It's probably for the best, I am getting a second opinion with a back specialist, and hopefully that doctor will be more helpful than Dr. Friedman was. In conclusion, I do not recommend this office, and doctor, at all. And if he reads this, I want you, Dr. Friedman to read this: "I don't know where you doctors lose your humanity, but you lose it. You know, if all of you at the beginning of your careers could get very sick and very scared for a while, you'd probably learn more from that than from anything else. You better start listening to your patients. They need to be heard. They need caring. They need compassion. They need attending to. You know, someday doctor, you're going to be on the other side of the table, and as angry as I am and as ANGRY as I always will be, I still wish you a better doctor than you were to me." The negative reviews don't do them justice. It's too easy to criticize the staff when in pain or inconvenience. If you're reading these reviews, take them with a grain of salt. Give Dr. Friedman and Betty the benefit of the doubt and you might be surprised by how pleasant the experience is.

It's still on going , he's been very understanding and concerned about my health conditions. I've put my faith and trust in his hands to make the right decisions for me . God Bless !!
Horrible Dr., wouldn't recommend anyone to him. Does not listen, assumes he knows. Also, if he does not want to treat worker's comp then don't accept ( I know it is a hassle). However, to see a patient and then try and change the facts and want the patient to see you under their private insurance is fraudulent. P.S You have to ring buzzer and wait for them to acknowledge you before the door is unlocked. Very suspicious for a doctor's office. Should have been a reg flag for me.
Very professional and informative his dignosted gave me a sense of security that my condition will improve eventually I will get back to my normal life
Workman's comp is trying to force me to use Dr. Friedman for an injury that his website says he doesn't even treat. I need surgery to repair a tendon and when I called the office with a general question, they wanted to know exactly who I was before answering the question of whether or not he performed tendon surgery. I'm very nervous about this. Why not answer a general question no matter who is calling? It seems rather odd to me. I went to this office for a second opinion, His cellphone kept ringing on loud and receptionist kept walking in the exam room distracting the conversation knowing he was with a patient. Im a health care professional and a young college student and I feel like he didnt take me serious based on my age. I would definitely not be visiting his office again. I was not a regular patient of Dr. Friedman, my visit to him was for a second opinion, and I have only seen him twice; however each visit was short and pleasant from the doctor to the office staff.
I have been a patient of Dr Friedman for 8 years and have recommended 3 of my friends to him. During that period of time I have never had a bad experience from Betty in the front office or DR. Friedman, nor have my friends. I have been in customer service for over thirty years, and still was quite shocked at the negative reviews on this site. Dr Friedman has been personable and kind, while Betty has always been accommodating. I realize that with a one person office you may get put on hold when you call since you are not the only patient, but I have listened to betty from the reception area and believe the negative comments on this site are exaggerations I have been a patient of Dr Friedman for 8 years and have recommended 3 of my friends to him. I think Dr. Friedman is an outstanding physician and the office was a great pleasure to deal with. He actually took the time to talk with me and discuss the issues I was having and was not just looking to cut on me like most surgeons. He actually discussed all the options with me outside of surgical intervention and after I tried those things and they did not work we than decided on the surgery. And I must say that I am doing so much better today than I was because Dr. Friedman took the time to care about me as a person and not just a patient that he could perform a procedure on. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a physician who truly cares for his patients!! I think Dr. Friedman is an outstanding physician and the office was a great pleasure to deal with. Dr. Friedman is BY FAR the worst doctor I have ever come into contact with in my entire life. Aside from having to pay for the visit in "CASH ONLY" (uh, weird?), his office was completely unprofessional and quite repulsive. There are no visible sinks and the used hypodermic needle container is easily accessible. In fact, it was next to my head during the visit. His bedside manner is beyond ridiculous, and he speaks to people as if they are beneath him. He refused to even look at the injured knee (which was clearly swollen and full of fluid), and instead blamed the entire injury on "chronic arthritis," even though the x-rays presented show a torn meniscus and damage to the ACL. He spoke over me the entire time, and insisted that I had no idea what I was talking about. He also assumed many things in his report. He is absolutely terrible, and it is a shame that he is the final say in any work-related case. He clearly retorts what Worker's Comp tells him to in order to avoid compensation for work-related injuries, all while he's making hundreds of dollars per visit. It is an absolute shame that he even has a license since he clearly DOES NOT care about patients, but rather sees them as paychecks. I don't know how he sleeps at night knowing that he blatantly screws people over. I wouldn't even recommend him to by greatest enemy...or my dog. I spoke on the phone with Betty trying to get some information for a patient being seen at the facility I work at. Betty put me on hold and hung up on me repeatedly. I called back again asking her not to put me on hold, but she didn't listen and did it anyway. Once she finally got to me she was rude, talked over me the whole time, and when she said she didn't have something and I tried to explain to her that she did - she spoke over me, said she would forward the message and hung up. My husband saw Dr. Jeffrey Friedman and just like the other review Dr. Friedman does not need an MRI to diagnose or confirm a diagnosis. I have worked in healthcare for over 20 years and can say from experience Dr. Friedman should be avoided. Beware, take the time to find a Dr. with a good reputation.
Great Doctor with a great staff, recomended to all
I would like to say that my experience with Betty and Dr. Friedman was totally the opposite of what I have read on this page. I was scheduled right away and was treated well by Miss Betty.. My questions were answered by the doctor and am all better thanks to Dr. Friedman!
I went to Dr. Friedman, he misdiagnosed my knee, after I told him I had all the symptoms of an ACL tear (sudden change of direction, pop in knee, swelling, unstability). He did a few tugs on my knee, asked me to run sideways and said I was good to go without an MRI or anything. The next day I full tore my ACL playing basketball, and ruined my knee worse than ever. A simple MRI would have discovered the tear and saved me a lot of pain. I went to a different doctor he told me it should have been discovered earlier, and the damage was now much worse. I highly recommend seeing a different doctor, Dr. Friedman is negligent and careless, and I would never trust the health of my body to him. And now I'm paying for it.
