Dr. Gimbel is the best doctor ever!

One of the best doctors I've ever had through my 80 years of being treated.

So sad to be moving out of state and lose Dr. Gimbal. Truly one of the last amazing private practices around. He cares for his patients more than any doctor I’ve ever met and truly wants what is best and will tell you like it is instead of just writing prescriptions.

Never in my experiences of dealing with a doctor, have I seen any doctor come close to Doctor Jeffrey Gimbel. What makes him far exceed any other doctor boils down to one thing for me. If I call him concerned about being very sick or covered in poison ivy and need immediate relief, he is the only doctor I have experienced who will take care of the problem on the very day I call. That means the world to me. No waiting for the next available appointment one month from now. No going crazy because you are so sick or itchy and are unable to do anything about it. Doctor Gimbel is a caring, kind, understanding, and compassionate doctor. I have never had a doctor like him before and I pray he never retires. Doctor Gimbel does not even deserve a star. I found him to be quite rude. I am disabled and on my first visit to him he was stating since i am able to walk that he didn't feel i was disabled and was threating to get me off of disability. He didn't even have my full medical records and know my full disability background. There are different types of disability and a good doctor would know that. Also a good doctor would find out more information about a patient before being judgmental. I question this doctors medical degree and license. I would not trust him with my life. The most caring, concerned, compassionate person I have ever known. Dr. Gimbel has cared for myself and my husband for over 20 years as well as both my parents after they moved from New Jersey to live with us in CT. He’s always responsive to my phone calls and has always made me feel that he will do or recommend what’s in my best interest. I am moving out of state and don’t know how I will ever find someone to replace him. The most caring, concerned, compassionate person I have ever known. Dr Gimbel has been my doctor since I moved to Wallingford in 2006. I wouldn’t change to anyone else. I have forbidden him to retire.

Terrible doctor and terrible staff. Avoid like the plague. No one is helpful about anything and they are very rude to patients trying to get information about billing. Never had an issue with any other doctors offices, it genuinely shocked me how awful these people are

Really great guy, have known Dr Gimbel for years and he always goes out of his way to accommodate people. Definitely recommend!

I would not bring my dog to this doctor. Narcissistic jerk. Has make many errors in Dad's meds. Can't get Dad to leave him because he makes his patients dependent by making them think they and their families are stupid. Dangerous.

Being a bonafide "Hypochondriac", I have found, during a 25 year long (+ or -) relationship, that doctor Gimbel must have the patience of saint.! Dr. Gimbel treats me with honor respect, and corresponds wherever necessary, without wait. Cathy and Gretchen are also extremely polite and thorough people to work with. I travel no less than 50 miles - one way - for the purpose of receiving the best medical expertise, and found the trip is ALWAYS well worth it..!

Be careful! Dr Gimbel is now at 3 Lincoln street in North Haven, but Google maps is still directing to his former address on South main street in Wallingford, despite the pin text stating the Lincoln street address. Dr Gimbel doesn't listen to patients needs. My husband wants to get off a medication and doctor Gimbel refuses to take him off. What kind of doctor tells a patient they cannot get off medication?

Dr Gimbel is caring and compassionate. The best quality about Dr Gimbel is if you have an urgent problem, he will see you the day that you call with the problem. I know no other doctor that is like that. None. That is very important to me. It shows that Dr Gimbel cares about his patients.
