Dr. Jeffrey Allen Travis

I have shared this before but Dr. Travis has performed surgery on both of my family. He is outstanding.

I absolutely would recommend this hospital and Dr.Travis to everyone who needs a great,caring and skilled surgeon. He's professional, kind, attentive and skilled in his profession. My husband had no idea he even remotely had a heart condition and when Dr.Ruth felt he needed immediate attention by a surgeon Dr.Travis is who he recommended and called in for consultation. Dr.Travis knew it was an absolute must that my husband needed a quadruple bypass. He went in and took care of everything. Fabulous Doctor! Saved my life. His bedside manner is extraordinary, as he took the time to explain the entire diagnosis, process, and recovery. He even took the time to pray with me before surgery! His staff is amazing, as well. If you are in need of cardiac surgery, this is your man!

He told me I had an artery with a 90% blockage. On with 70% and the others between 25-50%. Drew a primitive drawing on an envelope. I asked him and the catheterization Docter and hospital for a cd but never got one. I did receive a written report but it only listed the 70% blockage and lesser ones. Told I’d have a heart attack within two years and might not make it to the emergency room ! It’s been 17 months. I’ve not gotten the bypass ! I want to get a second opinion. What should I give an envelope with a drawing on the back ? Very professional ! Losing faith in doctors.

Outstanding! Dr. Travis is a wonderful heart surgeon and saved my husband’s life. He was skilled, he was compassionate and displayed outstanding bedside manner. He saw Mike twice a day after surgery and during each visit he asked Mike if there was any thing he could do or get for Mike to make Mike more comfortable. Dr. Travis’ team was the best! The influence of Duke Medical is very apparent in the professionalism and skill level of the doctors and staff! LMC should be proud of this heart team.

He did a rib surgery on me and said if it didn't take he would remove the rib well it came apart a week later and that has been 2 years ago that I have been having problems contacted his office again and was told their was nothing he could else he could do for me I call that a piss poor doctor i know my body better than he does
