Dr. Jennifer Ahn

I found Dr Ahn non-informative and condescending during all three sessions I had with her after my prenatal ultrasounds. She also refused to answer a follow-up question by phone and her staff referred me back to my primary OB to look at her report. My final visit with this group revealed a misdiagnosis by Dr Ahn, she based her conclusion on the wrong views of the ultrasound per another provider Dr Gollin. I recommend requesting other providers from this group if you get referred to Specialty Obstetrics of San Diego. My wife went to her for pregnancy ultrasound. We already have a son born here in San Diego. So, we have seen lots of OBGYN doctors. But never have seen a doctor like her who is 100% negative in explaining everything to a patient. Please stay away from her. She will try all sorts of negative things to you/your wife and make your pregnant wife's life/mind stressfull. My wife is 100% fit with no complication with her pregnancy. However, Jennifer keep saying negative things like preterm birth/early hospitalization types of things. She is a terrible doctor. My wife went to her for pregnancy ultrasound. I credit Dr. Ahn for saving my baby’s life. I see other people’s posts that say she is negative, but I never experienced this. She was very honest with me and extremely attentive. She even came by my room to visit during one of my admissions. I am so grateful for her. She also fit me back into her surgery schedule to remove my cerclage after another doctor at the hospital was unable to. My daughter was excited to find a Dr. who supposedly specialized in type 1 diabetes. However, she found her to be pushy, wanting to do tests that were unnecessary, changing her insulin pump settings so she was running low and not very caring.
