You know I saw some people get upset about having to wait. I honestly don’t mind at all because she is that good. I think those people also don’t understand family practice vs other types of specialties. I specifically chose a family practice physician. Family practice values caring for the whole patient, so there may be concerns that come up during a visit that she probably has to address, but was not allotted for time wise. For example- gynecological exams. Additionally, I never feel like she is rushing me. So I would guess she spends a lot more time with her patients, which puts her behind, because she DOES value them. If you care a lot about making sure your visit is quick and want to be in and out then maybe you should go to a different type of clinic setting with a non family practice physician. The best PCP I have ever had. She takes time to listen to your symptoms, is great at investigating the problem and is really great at follow through. She is excellent at returning messages and really seems to want to help you.

I have been here four times for a physical with Dr. Ellens. All four times I have had to wait at least 30 minutes in the lobby and then another 15-20 in the room for a 20 minute physical.
