I am a little confused. Dr. Swanson is calling me a year later regarding my test results and wants me to go for them all again, which is VERY expensive. She is calling me during normal work hours when I too am working. If this was REALLY about my health this kind of attention would have occurred a year ago and she would set up an appointment to speak with me! Not a happy camper and won't go back!

My actual doctor was nice, but the fact that I was laughed at by a nurse when I told her I wanted to be sterilized was uncalled for. If you’re a young uterus owning person and interested in being sterilized I’d recommend you find another doctor because I was flat out told no. This used to be a very nice doctors office but ever since dr king left it’s been slowly declining. I waited an hour today for my appointment, have been told they’d contact me about my yearly (never happened) I’ve asked about how much a procedure would cost and they told me they’d contact me before hand about it (also never happened) the bill ended up being expensive, and it was annoying considering it wasn’t necessary and I only went through with it because of their lack of transparency on how much it would be. This place is only about getting money. A 15 minute appointment that involved a discussion only was $146. They refused to do this over the phone. Beware!

I think it's important to have good communication with your Doctor as you would with your attorney, CPA, or auto mechanic. The challenge with this medical practice is, they do not routinely return calls. On kindness I score them 5 stars, on facility cleanliness I score them a 3 Star, on communication and returning calls, I score them a 1 Star. With the world moving so fast and so many vast methods of communication some medical offices with remain behind the growth sectors because of missing and or not steadily improving time saving elements. If you want to feel worthless and like just a number, go here! We made an appt here after finding out we were pregnant with what would have been our first child. First appt: the nurse killed a bug with a brochure mid-sentence and put the brochure back in the folder. The "doc" didn't go over anything that I would consider standard (nutrition, do and don'ts, exercise). When we went for our first ultrasound a few weeks later, I explained that I had been spotting and had concerns. No doc was brought in. The tech's face and body language during the ultrasound made it clear that something was wrong. After, we were told to wait in a room for the doc. We waited there for 45 minutes!!!! - emotions running and in fear, but no one seemed to care. After the doc met with us to confirm we were miscarrying, she told us we had to "checkout" and pay as we left. There were at least 5 people in line in front of us. The last thing we wanted to do after hearing this news and as we were crying and upset was to wait in line to make another appt or pay a bill for our miscarriage that we could have paid the next time we were in. Clearly no trauma-informed care being practiced at this office. The second time we got pregnant, we went to Women's Care of Bradenton. Despite another miscarriage, they have been absolutely wonderful and cared enough that the doc gave me her cell phone for when my husband was out of town while I was miscarrying. The staff at LWR obstetrics and gynecology is on point. Appointments are taken on time. The front office is efficient, And caring. I highly recommend this OB/GYN for anyone in search Of professional care.

This is my first OBGYN office I’ve ever been too, and I’m been coming here since I was about 19. I really love all the staff, their great attitudes, and the helpful detailed information that they give me. Very clean and comfortable, and overall just a nice environment to be in. Lakiya is really good!

I am new to Florida. I had an issue that caused me concern. They fit me in even though I was a new patient. I had an excellent experience. In addition, they corrected a medication that I shouldn’t have been taking. I cannot say enough about how well I was treated.

Dr. Swanson, Tracy and all their staff make your office visit a breeze and comfortable. They are extremely timely, efficient and care about all your needs & concerns. Highly recommend this practice.

Jill Miller is the best ARNP ! She has great bedside manner and is beyond welcoming. I can’t describe how amazing her assistant Lakiya was to me and how attentive she was during a very vulnerable moment. Wonderful staff ! 10/10 recommend

The staff works exceptionally hard, every nurse and front desk worker do their best to make sure every patient is taken care of. They deserve all the praise as a hardworking and good team that does wonders for taking care of my health.

I am so happy that I found this Gynecologist office. I put off going for check-ups for so long because I couldn't find a Dr. that I felt comfortable with, until I found Lakewood Ranch Gynecology. This office has a Great group of Doctors that are very knowledgeable, patient, and efficient. I was very impressed by the front office staff. Alyce was very helpful in scheduling my appointment and in helping me navigate all of the changes due to COVID. She was thorough in explaining what steps I needed to take and called to check on me to ensure that I had done everything necessary prior to my procedure. Her demeanor was always cheerful. The staff is wonderful and the Doctors are great. Dr Swanson is so sweet and kind, she takes the time to listen and she cares. I highly recommend this practice. I love that they now can do Ultrasounds in the office everyday.

I’ve never had such a consistently pleasant experience at an OBGYN. They always get me in shortly after I arrive. The ladies here are so sweet and have terrific bedside manner. Always reassure me about my concerns and are comforting to talk with. Annual visits are quick but thorough. I love this place and highly recommend them.

I was not very happy with my previous OB/GYN off State Road 70. I transferred over to Dr. Soendker and she brought a level of comfort to me while being very thorough. She found something of concern that needed to be addressed immediately, that no one found prior. I put my complete trust with Dr. Soendker and she was amazing through the entire process. I felt very nervous, but she had a way about her making me feel at ease and gave me the confidence that everything would be okay. Amazing staff throughout the entire office and everyone seemed happy with a great vibe. Alyce was also very wonderful with scheduling the surgery and was on top of everything. Horrible customer service! I called to see if they can accept my insurance because I’m pregnant and I need to make an appointment ASAP and they left me on hold for 20mins just to check if they can accept it, I had to hang up. That’s not professional at all. What a bad experience from the beginning!

I would honestly give this place 0 stars if that was an option. This place is a JOKE of a doctors office. I waited 3 months to get my nexplanon in they told me they received it let me schedule my appointment. Once my appointment was scheduled they called me to tell me they in fact did NOT have my nexplanon. Now 3.5-4 months later I still don’t have my nexplanon. Also, they suck at retuning phone calls. I made 2 appointments a month ago. I took the day off and they call me the evening before in each occasion to tell me that they needed to reschedule because of family emergency. How serious you are? Writing this on behalf of my wife, who does not have a Google Account. Please note that this office partners with a third-party laboratory that is not insured by Aetna insurance. My wife has Aetna but was not informed of this. She went in for a simple yeast infection. The nurse practitioner said she needed to swab her after diagnosing the yeast infection, just to be certain. My wife allowed it. We were not told that when you become a patient here, you agree to having every swab taken of you sent to this non-Aetna laboratory, even if they do not inform you before you are swabbed. We had no idea until we got a charge from Aetna of near $2000 just for this one swab from a simple yeast infection. My wife called the office trying to fix this. They were very rude and short with her and said there was nothing they could do. I wouldn’t recommend this office because this wasn’t the first time they messed up with her. I have been going here for a few years now, they randomly switched my doctor without notifying me but ended up liking the new doctor so wasn't a big deal. Recently the birth control I have been on for 2 years now that was working wonderfully for my PCOS has become unavilable anywhere, no pharmacies could seem to get it in stock, I called and left a message hoping the doctor would be able to get me a comparable one. Turned into 2 1/2 weeks, 6 phone calls for someone to FINALLY tell me that I had to be seen to change it, Like I asked for this to happen! I am very unhappy with the lack of communication from this office. I have called on numerous occasions for a refill order and nobody answers the phone except poor Victoria who does all she can to help an annoyed me. The reason I started coming to this office was to see Dr. Shelly and after a few months of no communication I had to hear from a friend that also attends here that the doctor is no longer there. I honestly believe that as a patient the office should have informed me that this was happening. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!!! I called to make an appointment with this office as a new patient two weeks ago because I was having some abdominal pain. They gave me an appointment with a doctor who did a pelvic exam and ordered an US. It took me no less than five calls to the office to get the order faxed to my imaging facility of choice. Once the US was done the report from the radiologist indicated that I should have a pelvic MRI. So for over a week I was calling this office to get the order for the MRI but the doc wanted to move right to a biopsy(but my endometrium was less than 5mm thick, which is normal for post menopausal women). I said I would be happy to do the biopsy but wanted the MRI first as the next step recommended by the radiologist who read my US. I called again(no less than five times) only to be told last Friday that the doc wasn't in and they would get back to me this Monday 10/13/2020. When no one called yesterday so of course I called only to be told that my doctors nurse was no longer with the practice and someone would be in touch. I called again and when I did I was told that my providers contract wasn't renewed and her last day was last Friday! What? Why wouldn't someone tell me this last week or better yet not book me with a provider leaving the practice?! So when I requested the MRI they told me that since my provider was no longer with the practice that I would have to come back in for another visit to establish myself as a patient with another provider in the office, Dr. Swanson. They told me the doctor could not order the MRI for me unless I was seen by them. I corrected Jamie and told her that wasn't true and she corrected herself and said, "well she won't order it unless she sees you in person." I told her that it wasn't my fault that the provider I saw in their office was no longer there and that I shouldn't have to pay AGAIN to see another doctor when they have the clinical notes, and the report from my US as documentation necessary to prescribe the MRI. They told me that's how it would have to go or else I could find another provider.......guess what.....I found another provider, and YOU SHOULD TOO! POOR PATIENT CARE, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, REVOLVING DOOR OF DOCTORS!! They want to order testing you don't need in house to keep the money in house. If I could give zero stars I would. GO ELSEWHERE!! I was so impressed with Dr. Chvotzkin. She truly provides good care and took the time to listen to me and answered all my questions. Unfortunately, when I arrived for my appointment yesterday. They told me that they no longer took my insurance. So, they could not see me period. I was extremely upset because as an existing patient they should have informed me of this change and any other changes regarding their services. Someone was supposed to call me to further explain, however I never received a call. I guess they don't really care about their patients. Although doctors have the right to refuse patients legally, it is uncommon for them to do so because they have made an ethical promise to take care of sick and injured people upon graduating medical school. Dr Swanson and her team are exceptional. She is caring, compassionate and has the best ‘bed side’ manner I’ve ever experienced from a doctor. Her team is friendly, knowledgeable and understanding too.

Once I got through the door, everything was fine. The door was locked, there is no doorbell, and no one was sitting at the desk. I tried calling but couldn’t talk to a person. I had to leave a voicemail and hope that it would be picked up. The office is just a satellite and seems to be sparsely staffed and equipped. It’s only open on Wednesdays. Nevertheless, I appreciate having access to Dr. Swanson here in Sarasota. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and warm. I shall continue to see her with pleasure as my gynecologist. Dr Sullivan seems to be a wonderful doctor, very personable and easy going. I liked her very much. She takes her time to discuss your concerns. She has a smooth running office once you're there. Everything went like clock work. No waiting around for hours to see the doctor, so I appreciate she is considerate of my time also. Alexis, the medical assistant was friendly and helpful as was the entire staff that I talked with. My only complaint is the phone system, which all the doctors seem to use now a days. No one actually answers the phone. You have to leave messages and hope someone calls back when you're home. A lot of telephone tag and wasted time on both ends. I also think having to wait 72 hours to get a prescription refilled is silly. I would give her 5 stars if she got rid of the telephone answering machine and actually had someone to answer the phone, make appointments, take messages and call in prescriptions.
