Jennifer M Van Warmerdam

I am a Chiropractor in active practice in San Francisco for the past 43 years. As a former competitive runner and tennis player who suffered multiple injuries, I developed hip and knee arthritis I have been a patient of Dr. Van Warmerdam for my hip and knee arthritis for the past 5 years. Her treatments have played a significant role in helping me to stand for several hours continuously while treating my patients. She is an excellent clinician and one of the best hip and knee orthopedic surgeons in the bay area in my opinion. If I have a patient with hip or knee pain who needs an orthopedic consultation, I recommend Jennifer Van Warmerdam M.D. In addition her support staff personnel including Elizabeth Cooper PA are very competent.

I visited with Dr. van Warmerdam for treatment of my surgical knee, injured over 40 years ago. She was very kind, extremely knowledgeable, and offered me a number of treatment alternatives to address my chronic pain issues. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to you for treatment of your knee complaints.

Dr. Van Warmerdam is the best ortho surgeon! I had both knee replacements. Her incisions are so skillful--the scars healed well and quickly. She so kind and compassionate. Each time I met with Dr. Van Warmerdam, she greeted me with her big smile and shook my hand. She helped tie my shoe lace--she is down to earth and very caring. I feel so loved and supported by her. I feel safe and I trust her. It is easy to reach Dr. Van Warmerdam and her team. Marco and Elizabeth, PA provided their cell phone to contact and they check in with me after surgery. Peter is always available in the office to help change my dressing as needed. Krystal is very caring and respectful. I am very grateful for all Dr. Van Warmerdam do for me. Two years ago, she saw something in my xray and referred me to Dr. Hsu and Dr. Zuckerman right away. She called the doctor personally for me to make sure that I was seen ASAP. I had emergency surgery right away for my neck. She has saved me from paralysis.

If I could give 10 stars! Excellent surgeon, super carrying with impeccable bedside manners. Dr. Van Wardermam had done a hip replacement and two knee replacement for my mother. The results are beyond amazing!!!! Also want to give credit to office staff. Very attentive and respectful of patients' time. Highly recommend!

I cannot speak highly enough about Dr Van Warmerdam. She is a warm, very present and attentive person and surgeon, one with very impressive credentials. I received top notch care as I went through my first major surgery - hip replacement.. From my initial appt, through recovery and 3-wk post-op visit, she and her team were totally awesome and kept me very informed about every step of the process.. Needless to say, I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great surgeon.

I have two total hip replacements with Dr. VWD (as I learned she is abbreviated). I went through both surgeries without any complications, did not feel any pain beyond a level 1, and by the second surgery never required any pills of any kind for pain by the time I was discharged. Friends tell me because I am in good health, my recover was swift. My believe is it was because of the doctor's excellent surgical abilities. I recommend her to anyone needing total hip surgery.

You never want to break an ankle- in my case two in one year. Dr. Van Warmerdam took a situation where I felt like a fish out of water, explained it in terms I could understand and reassured me when I was scared. Her clinical skills are excellent, she is thorough, compassionate and you get the sense that she truly loves what she does and cares about you as a patient.
