Dr. Joan Frances Puglia

I like her a lot and she has been very helpful with my parkinson's

will not be returning with my husband he was sent to her for a second Opinion and she was Extremely rude and not at all Professional she clearly chose the wrong Profession to work in she has absolutely no bedside manner. for one example she said who cares when a question about a medicine was asked. I wouldn't recommend going to her.

I found Dr. Puglia judgemental and condescending. She treated me like I was trying to pull a scam. Her first question to me was “You don’t work, do you?” I absolutely will not see her again if I can help it.

Dr puglia shouldn’t be practicing anywhere. I’ve never seen a dr so verbally abusive to her 90yr old patient. We ended up leaving with no medical attention because she wouldn’t stop yelling at her patient.

I actually walked out, because she was so angry. Why? ??? I never got a word in. I was totally at fault that I am worse than ever. She doubted anything could be done at this point. Too late. Most humiliating and upsetting experience. Time to retire?

I dont think I have ever been as talked down to as during my appointments with Dr. Puglia. I was begging her to help me, anyone to help me, and instead she admonished me for coming back too soon after our first appointment. I was in pain with nowhere to go and no way to get back to work. Why do people who hate patients become doctors? During our first appointment she also interrupted every answer I gave and did not listen when I asked not to be put on a certain medication. I hope I never have to see her again. Because of her and UMASS's negligence I was in pain with no help for about 5 months. Shame on you and Umass, where you are just a number.

She was very attentive, listened to me and asked me questions. I felt she cared about me as a patient and would help me get to the bottom of my concerns.

Absolutely unbelievable attitude towards patients. Shame on you, really. You are the reason people avoid going to doctors. I would highly recommend seeking ALL specialist treatment in other parts of the state. The experiences I've had with UMass specialists have been shocking and almost surreal. Disheartening to say the least. Dr. Puglia does not care about your wellbeing.

I was a patient of Dr. puglias for over 25yrs in New Milford, Ct. She dx me with Multiplr Sclerosis has Never made me feel like she didnt have time for me and she always respected my questions and opinion on my treatments. Know matter how i felt going into my appts i always left feeling bettet. Dr. Puglia was like visiting a friend who just happened to be a very smart doctor. She is truly missed

I recently met and am being treated by Dr. Puglia. In the past I had two experiences with two other Neurologists and they were so horrible that I was so nervous about my appointment. Dr. Puglia was WONDERFUL. She was thorough, reviewed everything, completed a full exam, reviewed my MRI and was very attentive and understanding. I am so pleased and have a better ease of mind knowing she will be my treating physician. (UMass scheduling is not the best - it is not the Dr's fault).

I was very nervous when I was referred to see a neurologist. Dr. Puglia was wonderful. very thorough and listened to all of my symptoms. I did not feel as if I was being rushed out the door. She explained everything and answered all of my questions. I left feeling confident and she put my mind at ease.

This was the worst physician I have ever met in my life. The worst attitude I have ever seen and I have worked in the medical field for the past 20 years. She treated myself and my daughter like we were nobody, my daughter has severe headaches with a cyst on her brain, slurred speech, very bad memory and I wanted her to be seen and helped, well that is not what I received! She walked into the room and was extremely rude and had no interest in what we were there for, left feeling frustrated.
