Front desk staff is friendly and patient. Dr. Salvemini is thorough and informative and knowledgeable.

Always very thorough and listens to the patient. She adjusts accordingly as to what my daughter is going through. I would truly recommend her to anybody that need a dermatologist.

I’ll never see her again. 57 yes you read that right 57 mins to wait for her to come into the room. No apology. She has no idea what skin cancers I had had and what I had removed and why. Worst beside manner. I have no idea where these positive comments are coming from but definitely not the dr I saw today. I usually see Korsenko and I will only be seeing him from now on.

Horrible! I was told I had to ware a mask or I could not see my doctor! I was being forced to choose between waring a now proven useless mask or getting medical treatment! I refused and cancelled my appointment and asked to have Dr Salvemini call me! Instead I was called by some functionary office supervisor. I have an absolute relight to speak to my doctor regarding my reason for not waring a mask! This is a dereliction of duty from my medical doctor to have a supervisor call me to discuss a medical reason why I would not wear a mask. It was insulting and humiliating. The sad part about this whole incident is the last time I saw Dr. Salvemini I wasn’t wearing a mask. She owed me the respect of a phone call and chose not to do so. Rules or regulations, notwithstanding she owed me that personal call.

The doctor was nice however, I did not get the procedure that I had thought I was receiving.

Dr. SALVEMINI was very thorough. She was also very knowledgeable, I felt comfortable with her expertise, advice she provided during the exam, and the diagnosis.

Friendly staff Didn’t have to wait at all Very clean office . Doctor was very thorough and answered my questions.

Dr. Salvemini is the most thorough doctor i have seen at this Stony Brook site. She listens to concerns and doesn't rush yo. She explains clearly and concisely what the procedures are and the choices involved. Her assistant answered questions referring me to the doctors who perform cosmetic procedures.

Dr Salvemini was very thorough and professional. She explained everything in detail. My only negative comment is that I had to stand on bare tile floor barefoot. A pad should have been provided.

The practioner was extremely professional and diagnosed my issue however my prescription could not be filled as it required another authorization which has never happened to me before...hoping it can be resolved very soon.

I have been a patient of Dr. Salvemini for almost 20 years.Having a family history of skin cancer, she is the only doctor I trust. She knows her stuff, and I can rest assured that here exam is will detect the smallest possible problem. When I go for my annual exam I can rest comfortably that I am ok. She is a high end academic ,who takes her work seriously. If you have tried the rest why not try the best.

I just saw Dr Salvamini for the first time and I am so impressed! I have been putting off this exam for a long time because I have a history of skin cancer and I am just so afraid! She was highly recommended to me and I am so glad I finally went. She gave me the most thorough body check/skin exam I have ever had! She was so nice and easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable. I didn’t wait more than 5 minutes in the office before being seen, and the office staff were awesome. I highly recommend her!

Awful experience. Don’t know how this doc achieved 5 stars. Saw this doc on a recommendation years ago and I’m still traumatized by the experience!! Her bedside manner leaves much to be desired.

Dr. Salvemini exhibits excellent bedside manner and has superb diagnostic skills. I was very pleased with how thorough she is and always listened to my concerns. She answered every question I had, and I was quite impressed with her expertise. Highly recommended.

She told me all I had to do was call in to refill a prescription. I called and was told the doctor would not refill a prescription unless she had seen me within the past six months. I checked my schedule and found out I saw her five months ago. I call the office who verified that I was correct and said they would inform her. I still have not gotten a response. I have been a patient of Dr. Salvemini for 20 years as well as family and friends. I have followed her to several practices. I now travel to her from Westchester County because I trust her. I would not hesitate to recommend her for her expert care!

I have seen Dr. Salvemini in her office at Stonybrook Dermatology four times. She found a mole she didn’t like and sent me on to Dr. Jones for surgical removal. I was happy with the way she was quick to take care of something suspicious. She is easy to speak with and the office staff is very attentive.
