Dr. Joel Orevillo is Very knowledgeable Doctor, Professional, Compassionate, respectable and friendly, his nurse is good. I would highly recommend Dr. Orevillo as a Pulmonologist.

Most compassionate dr. I have ever come across …..

My mom was being treated by this doctor. After being through many tests with her primary care doctor she was referred to a pulmonologist and they put her through more tests and diagnosed her with a small amount of emphysema. The doctor put her on an inhaler which made her extremely dizzy and she stopped using it and tried several times to reach someone in the office for some type of alternative. She left at least four messages within a five-day time span and no one ever returned her call. She then called the answering service on a Saturday because she had nothing to use for her coughing and she found out that there is no on-call doctor on the weekends. Very, very disappointing experience and now she is seeing someone else. Be warned that there is very little response if any if you need something.

I was being treated for a lung infection(MAI). I received the yearly CT of chest as follow-up. He read the report and asked a few questions and then suggested I have an echo. I never had any heart problems and didn't to my knowledge. Echo performed; had leaky mitral valve. I was in congestive heart failure. Open heart surgery was performed; valve replaced, maze method used on atrial fib.,and aneurysm removed. I'm fine all because Dr. Orevillo went an extra step. Glad he requested Echo.

He’s always been a very compassionate and supportive to my husband and myself. We appreciate him more than he’ll ever realize. However, all our frustration has been with the person putting in the referrals and communicating back with us. Bad to no communication and not the first incident that delayed us to call for appt for procedure or tests to be done. I’m not talking about delay due to insurance approval but not contacting us when the procedures were approved to let us know so we could call for appt for procedure. Everything gets more delayed. And these were all Stat referrals. Putting more stress on us at a very difficult time. Not cool. He’s always been a very compassionate and supportive to my husband and myself. He treated me years ago, stop seeing him coz he doesn’t do clinic for a while and now got to see him again ????. Great one ☝️

I moved from the LA area a year ago and I was so sad having to leave my doctors associated with Cedars Sinai Hospital. I am so happy to have found Dr. Orevillo. He is highly professional and has provided excellent care.

I don't understand what has happened with Pulmonary Associates in the last year but this place has gone down hill. There used to be an excellent doctor here named Jan Pring and suddenly he is gone. His patients were left hanging and dumped on an ignorant PA named Daniel who was useless and critical of Dr. Pring's method of treatment. Then Dr. Lampert jumps ship and takes the allergy doctor as well as Daniel with him. So now there is just Dr. Orevello who if you want an appointment it is a 4 month wait! So you are stuck with an ignorant nurse practitioner named Sharlee who is completely useless and unhelpful. She does not know what she is talking about and could care less about you as a patient. The Cathedral Rock location only has Orevello and just two days a week. It is ridiculous. This place is now the worst for pulmonary care. People who suffer from asthma don't have attacks based on when a doctor is in the office 4 months down the road.
