This Doctor was referred by ER doctor because of a torn bicep I have. I showed up for my appointment. Staff was under the impression I was there for a prior injury (tear in shoulder). They were examining MRI i had on shoulder from 3months ago. I had to explain that im here for torn bicep, which had them confused. Dr. Dowbak never came into the room. He sent a P.A. in to examine me. She then walked out of room and I could hear her talking to him. After she explained to him I had a torn bicep tendon, he told her to have me see another surgeon, almost 2 weeks out, after I waited 5 days for this appointment. However, why would he see me for a tear in shoulder but not a torn bicep? After I spoke to my doctors office, they said he and his staff CLEARLY DID NOT READ THE DOCTORS NOTES, otherwise they would have known the reason of my visit. Doctor Dowbak fails to meet the minimum needs of patients or their concerns. Big mistake for anyone to use his services.. Just read his own brothers review.... When others would amputate he saved my leg with 30 screws and 3 plates. Would give him 5 stars but since he took me off his calendar and referred me elsewhere to get knee replaced I was fair with 3. Also my knee had too much metal and had kept it from bending

He has cared for my daughter the last 4 years she had a prior surgery that was not correct so he fixed it, since then she broke her ankle 5 months ago and once again the surgeon did a terrible job 2 screws were broke, Dr. Pistol did a horrible job to so Dr. is going to fix this one also

Dr. Dowbak was the trauma surgeon for our daughter. He worked on her severely broken ankle, shoulder, wrist and shin. His appearance may be a little unusual, but his work is top notch! After our daughter was released from the hospital, we saw 2 well known ortho specialists. Both said that Dr Dowbak's work was excellent. They continued, saying that not only did he do exactly what they would have done, but that it was done just as excellently as they could have done it.
