Exceptional and down to earth. Met him in 2003 to tend to an issue with my daughter. Over the years, 2 more of my kids had the same issue (VUR) and he was their urologist. Eventually, one of my sons needed corrective surgery for this condition and Dr. Gearhart performed it flawlessly. There is a reason that he is so busy....he knows his stuff and is best of the best. Dr Gearhart is the third pediatric urologist we have been to for my son. He is outstanding! He is very knowledgeable and friendly and get things taken care of. We feel like we hit the jackpot with him!
Dr Gearhart has been a total lifesaver for our family. When my child was born the urologist in Richmond told us my child has epispadias but could not give any answers until our six week appointment and to look it up on Google. Thankful that I googled and found him. I made an appointment when my child was three days old met him with my baby at a six week appointment and never looked back. He did a penile surgery which makes my child look far more normal than we could have even hoped and Dr Gearhart is always there with a good joke and a warm understanding heart. He might be unconventional but he is very conservative and cautious when it comes to surgeries and ensures everything is done to his specifics. If anyone was to work on my children, I'd want someone like him. Thank you Dr. Gearhart for your continued care.

We love Dr. Gearhart. He made us feel at ease about our son’s condition and need for surgery, and it all went very well. I’d highly recommend him.
Caring and kind. It is obvious that he enjoys working with children. Explained everything in a way we understood. An excellent surgeon. He fixed what others could not.

Dr. Gearhart is the BEST surgeon for Bladder Exstrophy in the WORLD! He is amazing, kind and knows what he is doing. The previous person that posted.....I am not sure what in the world you experienced, but Dr. G is the best in the business!

We took our 5 year old to see Dr gearhart. The doc did not have good bedside manners for a pediatric doc. He was forceful and almost yelling at my son when he tried to get him to roll over. The experience brought my wife to tears. I would never recommend this doc to anyone.
