While I made it clear I wasn't interested in pain medicine at all, he still treated me like I was someone to be dismissed. He interrupted me every time I tried to answer a question and minimized what I was attempting to explain. I absolutely do NOT recommend this doctor. On my way out I was approached by another former patient of his who told me she had to start seeing a different doctor because of how rude he was to her as well.

Please take the time to read this guy's other reviews as well as mine. He is an anesthesiologist, NOT A PAIN MANAGEMENT DOCTOR, and has shown me, and countless other patients that he doesn't care about you or your pain. He also does not know how to read Maria or x-rays which is extremely important in a pain management doctor. I have extreme scoliosis, osteoarthritis in my neck and spine, degenerative disc disease, regular arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic migraines, and several other chronic pain conditions and have been on pain pills, seen a chiropractor twice a week for several years, and massage therapy for years. I only had one visit with John Hill who just told me there is nothing wrong with me and I only need to take Ibuprofen 800 and a lidocaine patch. I have been on Ibuprofen 800 for years and was just taken off it because of my kidneys, have had countless injections of different medications, was refused physical therapy and surgery because I am in such bad shape

Dr. Hill's approach to addressing patient pain is worthy of high praise. His exceptional listening skills, sincerity, and straightforwardness were evident in our consultation, and his composed manner during a challenging situation showcased his proficiency. I look forward to beginning treatment under his care and resuming a normal life. Dr. Hill's mastery in his field is self-evident, and I appreciate the referral from my primary care physician and the acceptance of my insurance.

Do yourself a favor; stay away from this so-called doctor. He has absolutely no redeeming value as a pain management doctor. He is rude, arrogant, brutal with injections, and has no empathy for patients. He calls the shots and doesn't want and doesn't consider input from patients.

The Morning of my visit, his nurse called me in the room asked for a urine sample,not a problem.Then I was asked to sign a agreement., medication,not a problem. As we left the room, I passed Dr.Hill and said Good Morning,'No Response,' with his head down reading my chart. We entered another room where I was asked questions and gave them copies of my records from my previous Pain Management DR.!! The DR. enters the room,does not introduce himself,and states,quote: I will treat you as a patient ,but Im not giving you no medications! He asked me 'Why I left my current Dr.,and I stated that 45-60 minuits is a drive for me! He was so rude and mean and treated me,like garbage!!! He kept asking me question after question,as if I was lying!!I Never felt so humilated in my life! Then states were done here! He escourts me out of the room, follows behind me, to the front where you check in, as I say good bye to the front staff, he is behind them with his arm crossed said 'Your Done Here!

Dr. Hill does not care about his patients at all! He never asked me any questions, prescribed me nothing and wanted to see me again. I had a wound vac! Don't waste your time with this arrogant jerk.

One of the worst Drs. I have ever met in my life. Extremely RUDE from the first hello. Doesn't care & assumes the worst. It's very hard to get me angry, but I wanted to punch the man in the face before storming out after less than 5 minutes. Look elsewhere for someone who will at least listen to you.

I saw Dr. Hill for an epidural for upper back pain. He told me my pain was from a hiatal hernia, and he did not order any other xrays or an MRI/CT scan prior to doing this epidural. He was not gentle at all with that epidural - I thought it was going through me, the wall, and the next room. Turns out I had 4 thoracic compression fractures. I never heard of a hiatal hernia causing pain like what I had. I would NOT recommend him at all.

He is indifferent about the pain your having. Pushes procedures that don’t work at all - Ablation.

Worst Doctor I’ve ever been to. Completely disregarded anything I said and bad mouthed my other doctor. Doesn’t deserve 1 star.

Very rude ! Accused me of getting pain medication that he didn't prescribe. I found the prescription bottle that he prescribed to me . It was a few years but I had been asking him to put me back on it since the other medications and PROCEDURES haven't worked.

This was my first visit. I’m hearing impaired with a cochlear implant. Had trouble making out what he was saying. I felt rushed to answer questions. Seemed more focused on the fact that he would not prescribe me pain medication. I have endstage cirrhosis so I already know that’s not an option because I had already asked about it. Tried to answer questions but felt like I got cut off before I could explain my answer. I felt really uncomfortable like I had to defend why I was there like he did not believe the pain I’m having. Like rude. I feel I may have made a big mistake by coming. I didn’t feel like I was taken seriously.

He is a horrible Dr. and a even worse human being with a severe case of short man syndrome ... Never, I repeat never trust your health to this man. He is so rude and looks down on his patients. I wouldn't give him 1 star but to post this review I had to.....

Doesn't deserve 1 star. Did epidural injections and after 2 I experienced worse pain that radiated so I refused the 3rd and he red flagged me when I went back to my family doctor! I've never been the same! He didn't even take an xray before putting the epidural in!! Run!!!!

Dr. Hill is a odd person. I've experienced a few issues with support staff..Do not assume anything, I encourage being your own advocate. Count days by next visit to be certain timing is accurate, with both dosage and follow up.. Originally recommended him, although the first visits are very different from the follow ups. He becomes unavailable, does not respond to drug reactions, blames you, and basically acts indifferent. Spent a great deal of money at ER, even overheard Dr at ER say, why cant you just pick up phone? He said its not how he practices. I had to move back to CT to get the care I received for over 10 years, Dr. Hill only offered a drug that I was allergic to. Ignored my instant high blood pressure reaction, burning to skin until I left. He seems to have "sorry about your luck" - "too bad" kind of attitude. He wanted to encourage a spinal cord stimulator surgery, even though he didn't think it would work. FYI 50K surgery. Very disappointed, although I blame the system for turning him into this type of person, there is some good in there somewhere, but I didn't see much of it. I was referd to dr hill after i had a severe back surgery he has always treated me great along with all his workers there !! I would recommend him to anyone !!!

Rudest arrogant doctor I've ever met in my life!.I'm 73 and this man treated me as if I'm a street addict. Critized my dr for prescribing meds for my back.I suffer from severe spine deformities.Nasty rude and down right unprofessional. Why is this man still allowed to practise? Honestly if I were a younger and a man I really would of knocked him on his *ss!Don't waste your time seeing him.

He judges people and decides whom he likes and if they are worthy of treatment. If you decline his treatment plan aka his 1 millionth spinal cord stimulator, he must make a lot of money on these, you my as well look for another dr because treatment has ended . Run to any other paim management dr..

I feel truly blessed to have Dr Hill as my pain management doctor. He suggested the Spinal Cord Stimulus Implant and, for me, it has been a miracle! I refer everyone to him.

This is my first time at a pain management and Dr. Hill and his staff were amazing! So kind so caring and listened to everything going on with me. Zero bedside manner. Complete and total jerk. Asked inappropriate questions. Does not listen to anything, he asked same questions 3 to 4 times and still didnt know the answers. Treated us a though we are drug addicts. I've been in the medical field for over 20 years and never seen a doctor with such arrogance. Does not care one bit about patients or helping anyone. We may complain the the medical board.

Total jerk. Terrible attitude. Treated me like a criminal/liar at first visit. ACMC should offer us better! I tried to give ZERO STARS but it won’t let me.

Dr. Hill is very friendly and knowledgeable. He always shows compassion and concern when treating me. My pain level has been under control since beginning treatment with him. I am able to function and have quality of life. I would highly recommend him.

I would highly recommend Dr. Hill for pain management. He was very helpful, listened to me and answered my questions without being in a hurry at all. We did agree on treatment and he even introduced me to another physician who could probably help me with something that Dr. Hill could not address. His office staff and nurses are all very kind and helpful. I would not think twice about going back to him for help.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!! I shattered my femur in 2004 I had 5 surgeries in a year, I was on pain meds for 3 years, In 2007 I took myself off all my pain meds ALL ON MY OWN WITH NO DRUG REHAB. I did not take any for around 10 years but Now that I am older I can not tolerate the pain in my bad leg ..it has gotten worst as I age...NOT EVERYONE IS A DRUG ADDICT.... THIS GUY TREATS YOU LIKE A DRUG ADDICT! He wanted to stick a needle in my knee for a temp few hour fix. Going to different doctor!

This man is rude, arrogant, condescending and abrasive. He should retire immediately. It is obvious that caring for people is not his thing.

Saw this Doctor today for a broken L3 and L5 Vertebrae and have been advised by 2 doctors already that I need a multi level Spinal fusion and this doctor tells me to get a membership to the YMCA and do machine crunches. What a joke!

I have referred my family and coworkers to see Dr Hill. He has helped three of my family members back pain with injections, relief has lasted a year or more.

Dr. Hill is a great doctor. He listens and is very caring. I love his staff also! They are very friendly. If you are in pain and looking for a doctor to help he is the right choice!

I have been a patient with Dr Hill for many years. He has always done everything possible to relieve my pain and give me some kind of quality of life since my car accident in 2009. I would strongly recommend him for your pain management needs. He and his staff are all super nice !!

I have been seeing Dr Hill for many years. He saw me through a very traumatic back surgery, and has continued to treat me throughout. He has provided great care and I am so glad I have him on my team!! If you're struggling with pain issues he is the Dr you should see, very caring and thoughtful. I highly recommend him!!!

He has to be the most arrogant Dr. I have ever been to.. While I was laying on the table for him to administer my shot I overheard him tell his nurse that I looked like a whale laying there. Yes I am over weight but his bedside manner is trash. Has he helped me with my pain.. no... and not my self esteem either.. DO NOT GO TO THIS MAN... He has extreme short man syndrome !!!

I wouldn't give him a star. He is rude and his approach is inappropriate. When your in the medical field you should realize one approach is not always the best! Also the only Doctor's office that I walked into with my own clipboard, and they kept it. Guess my co-pay of $100 wasn't enough.

A. Believes that Fibromyalgia is a psychological disorder and should be treated by a psychologist. While I respect his right to hold his own medical opinions, I prefer that my doctors understand and accept modern medical classifications regardless of what they they think the treatment should be. B. Laughed at me when I explained that my condition caused pain in my genitals. This is literally the most disrespectful and embarrassing experience I've ever had with a doctor. Just a complete jerk.

I appreciate what a PAIN being PM doctor must be like during this opiate epidemic. But you have to treat each patient based on Thier individual circumstances. I was treated like garbage. I did not ask for narcotics. But I was treated like absolute garbage. Didn't listen to a single concern. No wonder he has the lowest ratings I've ever seen. PS his staff was Amazing and kind which just made his horrible apathy even more blindsiding.

I have been a patient of Dr Hill's for many years. He has helped me very much with my back pain, doing procedures, listening to what my complaints are, and ordering tests. I have been very satisfied with my treatment and have come a long way since I began seeing him. I would recommend him to anyone with chronic pain. If you take responsibility as a patient, do what is expected of you, follow Dr Hills treatment plan, you will not have a problem with him

As a healthcare worker and a patient I am keenly aware of the immense responsibility he bears. He has to balance the risks versus benefit, not only for the patient, but also the community that his prescriptions enter. Guidelines and BIG restrictions have come down on the medical community for narcotics. Doctors are required to refer to pain management and pain management has to "fix it." I am glad for the explanations and I am glad for the procedures/therapies instead of meds! Keep am open mind!

Funny how my whole review on this guy disappeared off here. That I only wrote because I accidentally hit a star. He deserves no stars. This man has no business being a Dr. He doesn't listen to anything you have to say. Tells you your wrong when your just repeating what was said by another Dr. I could've been wrong but that's not how you approach it. Poor manors blaten disregard for your feelings. Diagnoses isn't just based on bending over and touching toes. I have a feeling he judges you before he even walks in the room by your appearance. So if you have tattoos or piercings be prepared for this guy to not like you. Regardless of the fact I went to school for medical ast. Nurse ast. And dental ast. And recently graduated at top of my class with a 4.2 in cosmetology and am going back for my bachelors degree in teaching due to the fact of my pain preventing me to stand long hours with my arms raised. I have now had several visits with Dr. Hill and, at first, found him a bit gruff and not a good listener. However, after multiple visits I have come to understand that he is a highly competent and intelligent doctor. He has recommendations and sees things that other doctors miss (trust me on this one). He can pick out a medication you are on and recommend going off of it to something else to alleviate a problem when another doctor passed right over the connection. The billing situation, as with all of ACH, is lacking - the outside billing company is thoroughly incompetent. I was very nervous and scared about going to see Dr. Hill. I was told by some professional health persons and just every day people: that Dr. Hill was a very mean, rude and intolerable person. Boy were they all wrong. Not once was he ever rude to me, don't ever once has he ever talked down to me or indicated any such thing. He listened to me completely and we went from there. If I ever have any questions or concerns he always answers them. His staff.....way beyond nice. Thank you

I didn't care for his attitude. He didn't give me any hope. He had his hand on the doorknob wanting to leave from the moment he arrived. He didn't even mention therapy which has helped me tremendously.
