Dr Long performed a Ptosis repair on my right eye and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results! Not only is my eye perfect now, Dr Long and his wonderful staff took the best care of me. I felt so comfortable in his office. The wait was short but when I saw him I felt like he spent a lot of time with me. He made me feel at ease during the procedure which was virtually pain free. I have had amazing results and I couldn’t be more grateful! Thank you Dr Long! You are the best!!! Great personality and an excellent doctor, I wouldn’t go to anyone else. Dr. Long performed an upper eye lift and it looks amazing. Such a noticeable difference without any clue I had anything done. I’ve been in the medical profession for over 20 years and hands down he has an outstanding bedside manner, a very professional office staff, and I would recommend anyone considering reconstructive or cosmetic eye surgery to not proceed until having a consultation with Dr. Long. Thank you for taking such care before, during, and after the procedure.

My eyelids were so bad they were affecting my peripheral vision. I was afraid the surgery would leave me with that perpetually surprised look. But NO. They look very natural and I still look like myself, just a lot better. There was minimal discomfort during and after the procedure. I could not be happier. THANK YOU, Dr Long!

My eyelids had gotten so bad I was unable to see any more without holding my eyebrows up to get my eyelids out of my line of sight. I was very hesitant about having any kind of plastic surgery performed and had put it off for more years than I should have. Dr. Long did a blepharoplasty on both eyes and they look great! I can see now and I am beyond thankful for that! His staff was courteous and very helpful with appointments and scheduling surgery. They took care of it all and I didn't have to do anything. Dr. Long was great about answering any of my questions. He LISTENED to me and my wants and don't wants. He was very kind with a wonderful beside manner. I don't really care about a doctor's bedside manner as long as the results are good, but it was a plus that Dr. Long did have a good bed side manner. Dr. Long did a wonderful job on both my eyes. I could not possibly be any happier with the results. It wasn't too much or not enough....it was just right!

I had Ptosis Repair surgery. I regained my periphery vision and younger looking eyes as a bonus. Dr. Long is a wonderful surgeon.

Dr. Long performed lower eyelid surgery on my eyes. He did a fantastic job and was pleasant and caring, too (as was his staff). He is the best!

So impressed with the entire experience at Alabama Oculoplastic Associates - fast, friendly and professional. Dr. Long took extra time to make our experience amazing.

I was so nervous about having eye surgery but Dr. Long "talked me off the ledge" and I am so glad he did. The procedure went without a hitch and the results were fantastic. My eyes feel better than they have in months and they will only get better.

I've never been as pleased with a doctor or any previous surgeries as I am with Dr. Long and his work. He performed surgery hon both of my upper eyelids. My eyelids were drooping so much I literlally had a small slit left in both eyes. I looked older, tired and unhealthy. He also told me I had Ptosis. He did an outstanding job. Dr. Long was very patient with my questions and concerns. I've been told I look great. He and his entire staff have been excellent. He is the best! ! !

Dr. Long did eyelid surgery on my eyes in March, OMG excellent job!!! My eyelids did not swell much and they did not turn blue. I’m so happy with the results! It’s so funny the people that I work with didn’t realize that I have blue eyes. I received so many compliments, which always makes you feel good. I am an educator, so therefore If I could give a grade it would have to be an A++.

Dr. Long is simply AMAZING! I can not say enough good things about him. He performed upper eyelid surgery on me due to droopy eyelids that were interfering with my vision and I feel like a brand new person. Not only can I see much better but it has taken 10 years off of my reflection in the mirror. Dr. Long specializes in cosmetic surgery of the eye and the eye only which is why I chose him. Please, if you are considering eyelid surgery of any kind, see Dr. Long.

In January of this year, 2018, Dr. John A. Long performed eyelid surgery on both of my eyes. I could not be more pleased with Dr. Long, the experience, and the results. Great decision to use Dr Long... I had to have a revision done on my eyelid from a previous surgery with another doctor and Dr Long assured me on the first visit that he could repair my droopy eyelid..He repaired it within 30 minutes in the office with no problems.. I only had a small amount of bruising and very little swelling.. No pain at all....Now it looks great!! So sad I didn't go to Dr Long to have my eyelid surgery in the beginning..

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Long. Dr. Long came highly recommended and certainly lived up to all my expectations. I would recommend Dr. Long to anyone who is considering eyelid surgery. He explained to me what I should expect. He kept me at ease during the entire procedure. I never experienced pain. I am so VERY pleased with the outcome!!!!! THANKS!!!!

I love this doctor. He was able to fix my dropping eyelid. I can now see so much better. My friends tell me I look a lot better as well!

Dr. Long is an outstanding surgeon and I'm extremely happy with the eyelid lift procedure, which helps me to see better but (according to lots of folks I trust) also makes me look younger. His staff is very helpful and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and confident.

I can't say enough about how happy I am with this guy. Dr. Long was recommended to my by friends and then I saw my doctor and she also recommended Dr. Long. He spent a lot of time with me and made sure I was well informed and comfortable with my decision to have cosmetic surgery. The surgery was easy. I am soooooo happy. Dr. Long made my whole experience so much easier and pleasent than I ever could have asked for. He and his staff were genuinely interested in me and my eye issues. Everyone from the first phone call, to my surgery was kind and welcoming. Durring the procedure he kept me at ease with his good music and engaging conversation, and the surgery was over before I knew it. I experienced no pain during the procedure, and little discomfort durring recovery. My eye looks better than I expected. Thanks!!

No proper blepharoplasty assessment. No identification of features critical for good outcome. Suffered severe symptoms from start...swollen conjunctiva, multiple styes, staph infection in left eye, corneal ulcer, severe dry eye, unable to completely shut lids & severe lower lid retraction. Symptoms so severe could no longer work as a doctoral level clinician. Later he wanted to tighten lids. 11 surgeons said would further damage my eyes. Had to have $40,000 reconstructive surgery may need more.

Dr. Long, quite frankly, accomplished significant improvement with my eyes when other highly rated doctors could not. He took on a challenging procedure that has yielded relief and improvement, not only, physically, but cosmetically as well. Highly skilled and caring, I would recommend anyone to him, especially when experiencing difficult eye issues.
