I have been seeing Dr. Scott for many years for minor ear issues and was always impressed with his gentle and thorough manner. It wasn't until recently when I had to have major sinus surgery done for a potentially worrisome growth and other issues, did I fully appreciate his straightforward way of explaining my situation in layman's terms and making me understand why surgery was necessary, without alarming me. He has a well-deserved reputation as an excellent surgeon, among other doctors and patients. My surgery went well and luckily the outcome was good. I especially appreciated how Dr. Scott took time to call me before and after the surgery and answered all my questions. I highly recommend him.

I went to see Dr. Scott yesterday with fears of nasal cancer. Dr. Scott was reassuring, professional, courteous & took a great deal of time with me. Luckily, the growth turned out to be nothing more than a deviated septum, as Dr. Scott knew as soon as he looked at it. WHEW! I would HIGHLY recommend him to all! Amazing doctor with wonderful bedside manner. Dr. Scott took care of me even though I was a difficult case having had previous unsuccessful surgery. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Scott and the team in the ambulatory surgery center.

After never having any issues with my sinuses, I developed a sinus infection later in life. DrScott was the first physician I consulted and he correctly diagnosed me and recommended surgery. I was not ready to hear that and continued to suffer and get opinions from three additional surgeons, all of whom concurred with Dr. Scott. I eventually chose a surgeon in a different practice closer to home. That surgeon totally botched the procedure and the infection actually got worse post-op. I returned to Dr. Scott and he allayed all of my fears and answered all of my many questions in the most professional, kind and caring manner. Dr. Scott took me on as a difficult case, performed revision surgery and I am symptom free for the first time in years. The entire experience with Dr. Scott and team in Caremount was so much better than my experience with the previous surgeon. I cannot say enough good things about this physician and I highly recommend him to everyone experiencing sinus issue

He is a very, very good doctor. But you can expect to wait 30-45mins after your appointment time to be called in. Each. And. Every. Time. It's insulting

This is the second time I've gone to Dr. Scott and have never had any of the issues of other patients. He's always attentive and thorough. Would highly recommend.

Dr. John is great. Excellent ENT with a very approachable manner. I have visited him for a number of ailments (including surgery) and have always been impressed. Glad to have him in the Caremount group.

Terrible. Caremount needs to be held responsible for keeping this man on staff. Unprofessional, rude and WRONG with my diagnosis.

By accident, I read these reviews and I could not disagree more! I've been seeing Dr. Scott for twenty five years and I cannot think of a more gracious, kind, caring physician....from office visits to surgery.

Don't walk RUN from this awful, rude, hateful doctor. He needs to retire or find a profession that doesn't deal with people, since he so clearly hates them. I pity the vulnerable and sick who have to suffer through a visit with him. The PA is sweet, but how can she, or anyone, work for this monster?

Terrible! Referred to him through Northern Westchester Hospital. I can't imagine why they would want any patient to see him. He was condescending, cold, and beyond rude. He didn't even say hello. And he rolled his eyes at every comment. A truly awful experience. See someone else!

Run--don't just walk from a referral to this doctor! Total misdiagnosis. Minimized my condition. Actually yawned several times while reading my medical notes. I had to watch this after not sleeping for days due to tinnitus. My condition was actually considered a medical emergency and my outcome may have been different if handled differently by him. Talking with other people, I have not heard one positive comment. He had been described as arrogant and condescending. I would fully agree!

Just had an excellent experience with Dr. John Scott. I went in with 3 specific issues to address. He listened, directed his attention to the two problems that could be treated in the office, and discussed the problem that can't be solved (tinnitus) and why. He suggested a follow up appointment with an audiologist to compare findings. I didn't wait at all; he was efficient, gentle and personable--and he did not rush me. Just had an excellent experience with Dr. John Scott. I went in with 3 specific issues to address. Nasty, rude and self impressed can truthfully describe the unpleasant: John C. Scott, and ENT in Mt.Kisco. Wish had read other reviews before seeing this guy. Recommend doing just that.

I would not recommend Dr. Scott. When I was incorrectly referred to him for a parathyroid concern by his colleague, Dr. Clarick, and I queried him re: the percentage of procedures he has managed...it was very small. Bad referral, wrong doctor. In addition, he requested a biopsy result and was on a winter break and left me without a response over an extended period of time re: a very timely and senstive surgery. His demeanor and disposition are flippant--showing no sensitivity to patients.
