Dr. John Thomas Allerdice Seddon

I am hiking and biking again after a very complicated foot surgery by Dr. Seddon. He is an exceptionally skilled surgeon! I couldn't possibly be more pleased with the entire process and outcome. I highly recommend him.

I had bunion surgery 8 months ago with Dr Seddon and I am very pleased with the result. Dr Seddon and his team did a wonderful job in fixing my bunion- from initial consultation, surgery and post op visits. It's easy to reach his office through the app and all my questions were answered promptly. I strongly recommend him.

One incredible surgeon to whom I'd refer without hesitation! Dr. Seddon restored my badly broken ankle to the point where I'll be able to ride my bike and climb mountains again. The poor reviews on here of Dr. Seddon confuse me. I’ve had a number of surgeries but this is my first with him and I can’t praise him and his staff enough for the whole process and procedure. I was desperate to see an orthopedic for my ruptured Achilles’ tendon rupture. I had called several orthos in the state but he and his office were the only ones that took this injury seriously and treated it with the urgency it deserved. They got me into the office the same day I called, and Dr. Seddon personally made sure I was able to have surgery the following day because he understood the nature and seriousness of my injury. He was patient and informative in our first appointment together and didn’t rush me through my questions. He also spoke to me respectfully and treated me like I had a brain! On the day of surgery it was as smooth a process as I’ve ever had. The entire staff team was kind, patient and thorough. Dr Seddon met with me before and after surgery and again, took his time speaking with me rather than running in and out frantically between other surgeries during this time. I can only assume the bad reviews given are from people who aren’t familiar with the medical system, especially when it comes to orthopedic and surgeries. I arrived for my appointment about 15 minutes early. Long story short, I was there for nearly 4 (four) HOURS. Saw the doctor for approximately 1 (one) minute. I will not go back.

After waiting over two months for my appointment I had a horrible experience with Dr. Seddon at his office today. After several messages from UC Health about the need for me to arrive 30 minutes early, which I did, I then waited over 45 minutes in his office AFTER check-in, AFTER the Nurse got my information and AFTER me listening to the doctor socialize outside the office door. It was at this point I decided to leave. Clearly, he is too busy for me and I will look for a different doctor. I was referred to him after an Emergency Room visit. Waited 5 days to see him. After X-rays he came in the room to tell me it was a contained fracture of the fibula. I also had a major sprain, foot was so swollen. He offered no concern no bed side manner and a lack of empathy . He said that I was to be fitted with a boot and 50%weight baring, that’s it! I had to ask the questions about foot care. Then his assistance came in to fit me with the boot, I told her I needed a note for work. So she brings me back a note stating I could go back to work, desk work only, I could not drive because the injury was on my right foot. He did not even ask what kind of work I do. I work retail where all I do is walk. He refused to change the note stating it’s up to my job to do what they need to do with me. Really??? No compassion!! I got a note from my primary doctor and I now have the time to heal! Stay away form him!!! I would of given him zero stars if I could. I noticed there were some poor reviews of Dr. Seddon; however, I’ve had a great experience with him. He has been friendly, thorough, and always answers my questions to the extent that I can understand what he is saying. Made me feel at ease on surgery day. Great surgeon and great staff.

Very disappointed with Nurse PA....they refused to see me because I was bringing my own xrays which were 7 weeks old...and would only see me if I get xrays done through their office. Insurance will not continue to pay for xrays of the same injury. After explaining that they still refused and said xrays thru their office would be the only option...terrible medical service when a patient is referred to them. Literally one of the best physicians I’ve encountered. Thorough, professional, kind, and helpful. I broke my fibula and wrecked my ankle. Everything was out of alignment or torn...He did my surgery and the results were text book perfect. I could not ask for a better physician or better results!!!
