Had both my hips replaced by Dr Shields and would totally recommend him to anyone. I went home same day for first surgery and stayed over one night for 2nd. Everyone was very helpful and explanations on the surgery and care after were explained well.

I was referred to Dr. Shields by my former orthopedist who could not determine why I was having pain and swelling in my knee 2 years post replacement. Dr. Shields found the problem within minutes of seeing me .

Very very satisfied with my procedure to have my hip replaced. This is my 2nd replacement which i had my other hip replaced years ago. My recovery time was less than half of my first replacement and i felt i was well taken care of prior, during and after my surgery. Had other doctors in my area but they never provided the professional help Dr Shields had provided.

Incredible surgeon and great positive personality. He knew immediately what to do to repair/correct/stop the pain in my knee I had been told for 4 years I had to live with by other surgeons. He came with the highest recommendations and I am so glad I didn't give give up and listen to them.

Dr. . Shields replaced both of my hips. The hip replacement program went seamlessly For me with very easy recovery. I feel younger than I have in years!

Everything from start to finish was well taken care of and explained. This was my third knee replacement and was by far the best experience of all, tough but successful.

Dr. Shields replaced my left knee three years ago. Full recovery with great range of motion. This time it was my right knee. Working toward the same results with this one. I highly recommend Dr. Shields as a caring and careful surgeon.

I had TKR on June 2nd 2020, Dr. Shields and his Team were Awesome from the beginning Everyone at Davie Medical was there to help me with any concerns that I may have had. I just can't say enough good things about Dr. Shields and everyone involved in my TKR. As soon as I am completely healed it's on to the next Knee. From beginning to end of my hip replacement surgery, it has been nothing but smooth sailing! Dr. Shields and his team did a fantastic job and I highly recommend him.

I can't sing their praises enough. I had an adductor tendon repair a few weeks ago. Dr Shields is the best, kind and skillful. The staff at Davie Medical Center were awesome having your care at interest. Not a negative thing to report. My main nurse Julie was everything a nurse should be!! Thank you all!!

Total knee replacement 2 weeks ago and am emerging from it all to more mobility every day. Finally! Can't say enough about Dr. Shields and the great care at the Davie Center. Know that I will have my active life back in another month or two.

Great surgeon who is compassionate and takes time to listen to his patients. Has gone above and beyond to help my mother through her surgery and after. Wish all doctors were more like him! Highly recommend!

Offered no suggestions for my hip pain. Part of what he told me was correct.

I have tkr was done some where else. I've been in pain every since. Doctor Shields is the first doctor to really listen to me. He has tried everything over two years now to try to help me. Nothing has worked. We are now planning to replace the knee. No doctor wants to fix something that another doctor did. But he is.. He is saving my life to try. I have become so depressed with the pain. This may not work and I'm aware but I'm so grateful that he listened and believed that I am in pain
