I had 3 bones removed from my wrist after 7 years off constant pain and discomfort, 7 months after surgery I am back training in the gym using 20 lbs dumbbells with no pain, overall movement has improved significantly and I have zero pain throughout the day, best decision I made was to see this surgeon, I’m only sorry I didn’t go 7 years ago

Dr. John Thomas is an incredible doctor. He is professional and caring in every way. He saw my son who injured his Hand and wrist when weights fell on them and we were treated so well by him and his staff. He explained everything thoughtfully to us as parents and also to my son who is a teenager. There is an incredible respect he has for his patient’s lives and takes everything into account when deciding a course of treatment. Dr Thomas truly exceeded my expectations when it came to finally getting a long overdue surgery done. He is simply the coolest hand surgeon in NYC and post surgery my finger is looking amazing, I’m thrilled! He is very professional, fun to talk to and has a wonderful sense of humor, his awesome personality shines right through and makes you feel welcomed. Also Dr Thomas’s confidence, in his ability, paired with his sheer excitement to solve my problem helped me to not lose hope when my finger was looking and feeling crazy post surgery. His staff also helped me calm down, as I never really had surgery before. So yes I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Thomas to anyone, he is 5 stars all around and I’m looking forward to my check up in January! One thing at time, have you ever visit a doctor with different kind of pain and your doctor check one part and refused to check the other part and told you one thing at the time? That is doctor Thomas. I called to make an appointment in mid-December they scheduled me for mid-March, then I was able to see him passed 3 hours from my schedule time because they over booked even At COVID-19 time. When I told him my thumbs and my hand wrist are hurting badly, he recommended MRI for the thumb, I asked him to check my hand wrist said he : one thing at the time am very busy and it’s not fair for other patients. But I was the last patient!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a surgery last week for carpal tunnel syndrome, Single port laparoscopic transverse ligament release. Amazing recovery, minimal pain afterward barely a noticeable 1/2 inch incision below the palm, minimal blood loss. I have to be careful to not overextend myself in the gym until at least a month as I feel as i can start weight training already. Dr Thomas must have magic hands, excellent surgeon and bedside manners. The real deal, don't look for anyone better. john s

I had a surgowith Dr, Thomas last month , he is really on top of his patience. Very very happy with the whole team in office and hospital! Thank you again and definitely highly recommend !! Ria !

Dr. Thomas is an amazing doctor and really nice guy. He not only explained the issue to me, he explained what the right course of treatment should be and why. I love that he also treats children. This will make my life a bit easier in the future as I know with 2 boys, I will need a hand and wrist doctor.

Dr. Thomas was extremely accommodating. My son shattered a knuckle and Dr. Thomas squeezed him in, both to see him in his office and then perform surgery. He took x-rays in his office, which facilitated the appointment, and explained the difficulties my son faced and what he hoped to accomplish in the surgery. We are most grateful to him.

A true Professional ~ he explains everything to you in complete detail, and does not rush you through. He will try other methods first to avoid surgery when possible, which is why I have such respect for him as a Doctor. I have used him for numerous problems with my fingers/joints/wrist & I have no complaints. One day I unexpectedly broke my finger at the joint, we scheduled surgery and he did an awesome job. Great Staff also!

Dr Thomas is great! I have been a PT of his for many years BUT getting an appointment is not easy and be prepared to wait a long time if seeing him at the Astoria location (never been to the NYC location) Besides the wait and the calling and calling to get an appointment I have no complaints. I trust my hands to no one else
