Needed a hip replacement, did a little research and found Dr. Thompson. Office staff from the first visit was friendly, efficient and professional. Dr. Thompson talked about surgery, set up a date, had his staff do all the required paper and prep work and the hip replacement at Cape Coral Hospital was excellent. Home and office physical therapy was excellent, and any questions or concerns were addressed promptly. I would not hesitate to go back to the office should I have other issues with my hips or knees.

I was referred to Dr. Thompson by a friend, and I am so glad I followed through. Dr. Thompson is attentive, professional and willing to work with his patients. Upon my requests I received several cortisone treatments until I was ready for surgery. My post op is ongoing. I would like to also point out the professional staff and assistants. I never wait needlessly for my appointments, and the everyone is always pleasant and thoughtful.

Had consulted with other surgeons. When I meet with Dr John Thompson, I felt I would be in good hands! He has been great! It’s only been 2 weeks since my 2nd surgery, I’am walking and making good progress. Thank you, Dr Thompson!

I had been told by another surgeon, Dr. Fuller, that I needed knee replacement. Luckily, a woman I met told me she was getting robotic knee replacement by Dr Thompson. So, I called him. To my shock, he said all I needed is meniscus surgery not knee replacement. Surgery took 13 minutes, I did NO PHYSICAL THERAPY, up slowly walking 3rd day. I am 73 years old and am SOOOO grateful for Dr. Thompson!!!

Dr. Thompson is an excellent orthopedic surgeon with a great bedside manner. He has been my doctor for over a year and has performed two procedures. Both have been very successful and I couldn’t be more pleased.

Had knee replacement surgery that went incredibly. Hardly any pain and was walking on my own days after surgery. Needed no more than 2 weeks PT. Dr Thompson was patient, informative and professional. So happy I finally had this done and was referred to Dr Thompson!

Dr. Thompson was amazing. My first visit with him was very encouraging, he listened to what I had to say. After our conversation and going over my options we both agreed to have both total knee replacements done at the same time. Surgery went well, and the follow ups were great. I am almost at my 2 year mark and doing pretty good.

I enthusiastically recommend Dr. Thompson. He is highly skilled, very compassionate, and his patients are important to him. Dr. Thompson replaced both of my hips with the anterior procedure. The physical therapists at the hospital told me I would do great because Dr. Thompson's patients always do. They were right! I now have no pain and am back to gardening, walking the dog, and feeling younger. Thank you so much!

Horrible post surgery follow up

Dr Thompson performed knee replacement surgery on my wife on May 4, 2021. Dr Thompson and the anesthesiologist assured my wife that the nerve blocks would last 24 hours. They did not last for even 12 hours. Consequently, she needed to start taking pain meds earlier than anticipated. She quickly went through the three days of meds and needed another prescription. He could only give her another three days of meds. After taking those three days of meds, he referred my wife to a pain management clinic. After a follow up visit with the doctor, he recommended an ultrasound of the surgical leg. The ultrasound revealed a blot in her leg. After many voice mails by me and calls from our visiting nurse, we never received a response from their office. The post operative care is horrible. We had to call our primary care doctor for further advice for treating the blood clot
