Dr. John Andrew Wickett

Excellent doctor. Very direct and down to earth yet very professional and I liked the fact that he is a veteran.

I transferred from a different physician & practice to Dr. Wickett, as he came highly recommended. His medical knowledge is up-to-date. He often seeks to educate his patients, and has a down-to-earth yet professional demeanor. He pays attention to his patient records and coordinates care. Not everyone will like his tidy beard, but his family does, so that is what really matters, IMHO. Dr. Wickett makes a good adult primary care doctor, and is in a clean, accessible office with pleasant office staff.

Horrific

BEWARE of this crackerjack MD. This so called "doctor" lies to his patients so he can order unnecessary tests. He made my mother think that she had cancer when in fact she had blood in her urine due to a medication that she was on. She already had tests done 2 years ago that proved that the medication was what caused it. He is all about ordering tests that are not needed to make money for the practice since he is affiliated with the hospital. I'm a nurse so I know this guy is incompetent.

I have been seeing Dr. Wickett for about a year now and I have never felt better. Dr. Wickett was able to diagnose me correctly after years of going to doctors who only put me on unneeded medications (some addictive)-as many doctors do. Dr. Wickett never talks down to me, always explains everything so I can understand and is kind. I am so happy I changed doctors and am finally getting the help I need and understand what is actually going on.

After being in his office for 10 min. He told me I was depressed. What's worse he actually tried to make me depressed. Asking about my childhood marage... I told him I had a good marage for 38 years and a great childhood. He told me nobody has a perfect life. Never said I did. But I have no real reason to be depressed. He also told me my diagnosis of ADHD was not real. I see the same person for that for 10 years an she was wrong but seeing him for 10 mim. He was right. First and last time for m

When I first met Dr. Wickett, I was apprehensive because my previous doctor had me on a bunch of addictive medications. I put my trust in him, and now I’m off of all of those, and I feel better than I ever have. Dr. Wickett listens and understands my needs. I would and have recommended him to friends and family.

Would never recommend this guy or the practice he works for. Transferred my entire family to him, bad move. Impossible to get in to, wait time is over 45 minutes every time and all he does is push scripts for anti depressants; to myself, my husband and my two 20 something daughters. Are anti depressants the new pain killer replacement Dr Wickett????

He'd completely dismiss my observations and not truly listen. The last time I saw him he some about my weight, I'm a heavy person, but I don't eat much. He forced the gastric bypass idea even though I'm succeeding on the ketogenic diet. He said I'm eating too much and when I told him I religiously use myfitnesspal app and I eat about 1500 calories he said I'm lying and turned to the scribe and said "you don't even eat that little, do you?" I found that unprofessional. I'll never see him again.
