Dr Glashow and his staff are amazing….

Top doc to NBA pros for ACL surgery. Had a BEAR surgery and he's one of the few docs in the country who performs this new technology. Surgery went very well (though I was a bit surprised at the pain in recovery! Take your pills.). Was walking again ahead of schedule and had decent ROM fairly quickly. 6 months out and things are recovering nicely after PT, just a little quad atrophy. Expect to return to sport in the next few months but not pushing it to be safe. Not the cheapest option for sure, but you get what you pay for and I didn't want to gamble on a cheaper knee surgeon. I'm young and I'll have this knee for the rest of my life.

Dr. Glashow is a talented orthopedic doctor. He performed my daughter's BEAR ACL surgery with excellent results and his bedside manner was top-notch. I ruptured my Achilles tendon and went to a local orthopedic who recommended surgery. I wasn't feeling confident in him and my wife researched the best orthopedic surgeons and suggested we go see Dr Glashow. He saw me right away and spent a great deal of time reviewing with me the MRI, physical exam and issues around my injury and the planned procedure in my case. I had delayed the process with the other surgeon, so my repair was going to be more challenging and Dr. Glashow discussed how he would alter my surgery to address this. His PA Chris then helped me refit my crutches and boot to make me more comfortable. I walked out of the first meeting feeling relieved, confident and much more optimistic about my long term prospects. Dr. Glashow's team helped expedite all aspects of the process, setting up my pre-op exam immediately after my appointment with Dr. Glashow, handling all the insurance and hospital administration and setting up my prescriptions in advance of the surgery. Dr. Glashow again spent time with me pre-op reviewing the procedure and the post-operative instructions. The surgery went very well and my early progress has been better than I expected. I'm very happy about the progress but I am really most please with how I feel about my prospects. Dr. Glashow helped me feel so comfortable with the process, so clear about what to expect and, mostly, so confident about his ability to deliver the best possible outcome. I couldn't be happier about my decision to move forward with him. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Dr. Glashow is an exceptional surgeon. I have had knee and shoulder surgery under his care and I have had great success with getting back to full athletics. He is not only a talented surgeon, but he is positive, attentive and thorough during the post operative process, which is extremely important to one’s recovery. His office staff is also professional, courteous and always helpful. When I walk in the door, I feel like that I have a team standing behind me.

Dr. Glashow is one of the most detailed, professional and personable doctor I’ve ever seen. He takes into account what really matters and your goals in every decision. His attention to your specific issue and clear and precise communications is the best I’ve ever seen.

Dr Glashow is the most thorough doctor who is very invested in the wellbeing of his patients. The pre-op preparation and post-op instructions and are the most comprehensive I have experienced. He is truly one of New York’s best doctors.

My experience was excellent. Staff was very professional & courteous. Dr. Glashow was thorough & explained everything completely. My short term & long term prognosis as well as MRI. He took his time & I did not feel rushed.

I had been to two other orthopedists prior to my consultation with Dr. Glashow (seeking multiple opinions before making a decision on whether to get bicep tendon surgery, recommended by the prior two doctors). I knew within 30 seconds of Dr. Glashow’s diagnosis that I was going to have the surgery, and he would be my surgeon. For starters, his overall presence and professionalism helped ease any concerns I had about the long term impact of my injury, as well as surgical risks. He also spoke candidly and with confidence about his recommendation, all while showing empathy towards my fear of having surgery (which I had never had before). The day of the procedure, he spent time with me and my significant other (prior to me heading into the OR) to review everything again in detail, and to put both our minds at ease about the surgery, and what would follow. His communication skills are truly wonderful, and this is not a trait that is as common as one might hope in the medical community (based on personal experience). Post op, he’s maintained the perfect level of communication and care that I need, is easy to reach when needed, and has already set me on the path for the quickest recovery possible. Went to Dr. Glashow with a 2 year old badly operated pectoralis mayor tear repair. Few doctors saw me before Dr. Glashow and no one wanted to intervene because the previous surgery was done so badly, it was hard to see what they had done. Dr. Glashow and his associate Dr. Chris saw me and told me they would try to fix it, and explained in detail how. I was skeptical because it was a 2 year old wound and tendons and muscles tricky, specially old wounds. Not only did the surgery went perfectly and they were able to reattach the muscle, but also I have no pain after the surgery and it seems to be healing great! Never had a medical experience this good before, the personalized attention, explaining of the procedure and post surgery guidelines, technology involved, and most importantly, their skill's as doctors. He’s objective and only recommends surgery when appropriate (for example, in the current case, he thinks that physical therapy and not surgery will most likely be most helpful). I tore my quad tendon waterskiing and needed to find an expert in repairing this. Dr. Glashow came very highly regarded by a mutual friend as the best. I come from a family of medical doctors in Canada so I am used to very good treatment but my experience with Dr. Glasgow has been on a completely different level. As busy as one would think he is with world class athletes, he truly cares and takes the time to make everyone feel special. His assessment of a situation is laser precise and he lets you know exactly where a condition is currently and the clear steps to getting healthy and fully active again. Dr. Glashow is very thorough in his examination. I had surgery on my right shoulder three years ago. I went today after almost three and a half years ago to him and he remembered my entire history. He is Awesome!

In late February I injured myself while exercising. I tore the distal end tendon of my biceps clean off the bone. The aesthetics of my physique are essential to my job so this injury needed to be attended to immediately. I knew I had to find an experienced surgeon specializing in this procedure. After searching online for doctors I came across Dr. Glashow’s website. I was reassured by his experience of dealing with this specific injury, his history of treating athletes, and his impressive amount of qualifications. Setting up an appointment was easy. The staff were all very kind and professional. I was seen almost immediately, first meeting with his PA to explain my situation. Soon I met with Dr. Glashow, he carefully explained to me the nature of my injury, my options of what I can do about it, as well as the outcomes I could expect. He was clear, non-condescending, and empathetic. Patient and happy to answer all of my questions. They were very considerate of my situation and understood the challenges that surgery can present. They worked with me to make sure I could get the quality care that I needed. The setup for the surgery was simple and easy. The surgery itself went very well. The facility was excellent as well as the staff. Everyone was very thorough in making sure my safety was their top priority. After I woke up from the surgery Dr. Glashow met with me to discuss the surgery and to reiterate what I should do for the next few days. As always, he was patient, friendly, and took the time to address all of my concerns. The first few days were rough but Dr. Glashow made sure I was prescribed with what I needed to be comfortable. I followed his directions to the T. I was in a sling for a couple of weeks, then a mechanical arm support for another couple of weeks, and then I was out moving my arm freely. Of course, I made sure not to lift anything with it and to stretch it carefully until he advised me otherwise. Now, it’s four or five months after the surgery and I’m fully recovered. I’m exercising again, starting slow and building back up gradually. The scar is barely noticeable. I have full range of motion of my elbow, completely restored freedom of movement, and I can contract and show off my biceps again. Things literally could not have gone better. Dr. Glashow performed surgery on my 18 year old son who had broken his clavicle and had previously been given diagnoses from other doctors; Neither recommended surgery and actually ended up making my son’s condition even worse. Then, after meeting with Dr. Glashow and Chris, he recommended immediate surgery, and thankfully so. One surgery later, my son is on his steady journey to full recovery. We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Glashow and for his follow-ups even after the operation. They reassured me that I had chosen the best doctor possible. A truly excellent experience. Dr. Glashow is the best. Everything he prescribed for my knee was on point, and now Im able to walk around again without crutches, or a cane. After 11 months of Bed, Crutches, canes, Therapy, without improvement, I searched for a second opinion and a second strategy on how to deal with my knee injury/surgery and found Dr. Glashow's office, and it was the best thing that happened to me. Dr. Glashow is the best of the best. I slipped on some stairs and needed rotator cuff surgery. The shoulder is better than ever. Dr. Glashow also repaired both my brother's shoulders, which were absolutely shredded from years of wrestling.
