Dr. Jonathan C. Horton

Dr. Horton is great. Super compassionate, personable, knowledgeable. I threw him my highly unusual case and he made every effort to address my symptoms. I have had many doctors guess at what they can’t explain leading to many different opinions, and it’s frustrating and confusing. I really appreciated how humble he was in thoroughly explaining what he could, and admitting what he couldn’t. Refreshing to have a doctor be honest, humble, and express genuine compassion.

This appointment was rushed and the doctor did not take our concerns very seriously about our 2 year old daughter. He did some very basic tests, some of which she wasn’t able to participate in due to her age, and Dr Horton refused to do more advanced testing. He appeared bothered when we asked for an explanation re: why her eyes do not line up all the time. Would expect more out of UCSF.

I received a referral to Dr. Horton. I called the office 3 times over the course of one month to set up an appointment. The first time, they said they were still processing the referral. Dr. Horton was highly professional, knowledgeable, kind and made my nervous son completely comfortable . I would recommend him highly.

Very unprofessional doctor, such a waste of time and money to see him.

I went to see him for my eye issue, long story short, he was being rude to me and the resident doctors who were with him. He never asked me any question related my eye, he was more of like an investigative cop. Lastly he told me this issue i have is from birth, however my issue has been developing after i had two incidents. I dont recommend him to no one, i guess he is rude and racist.

Dr. Horton performed my eye muscle surgery about 2 months ago and I couldn't have asked for better results. My eyes are straight for the first time in years and I am healing at the pace He said I would. Everyone tells me how nice my eyes look and what a good job my surgeon did. Not only are my eyes straight they are pretty! My experience with Dr. Horton and entire his staff has been a pleasant one. They rock! I recommend him for anyone who needs eye surgery. I am very happy...

Dr. Horton would not allow me to make an appointment until I sent all my ophthalmologic medical records. Then he took four months playing telephone tag in order. to tell me that he would not take my case because I already had a doctor (even though I am losing my vision without clear diagnoses). Very arrogant.
