Dr. Shaver is very attentive and answered my questions. Needed help with shoulder and hand pain. He did successful hand surgery in 2019 on my other hand.

Dr. Shaver repaired my rotator cuff and also did a total knee replacement. I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon. He, and his medical team, were very efficient, professional, and caring. I was not just another patient. He listened, answered questions, explained procedures, and and made me feel very comfortable about what I was going through in each of the surgeries. Based on my results, he is a top-notch doctor and a caring individual.

My 1st visit and totally satisfied. Dr Shaver listens, complete feedback on questions, through exam, never felt he was rushing me and made sure I fully understood my treatment plan before I left. I have a persistent condition and Dr. Shaver has delivered treatment that provide relief that gives me the ability to continue all of my normal activities and exercise. That is such a blessing for me -- to enjoy the physical aspects of life. His staff is superb and are supportive and encouraging people and healers. I cannot express how happy I am for their treatment of me and my body's need!

Dr. Shaver and his staff are very friendly as well as professional. Straight to the point about what options you have for treatment and then you decide. This is my second surgery with him. My first was a major success so obviously I had him do my second procedure. I recommend him as well as the Fort Loudon Medical Center for treatment!

As always, Dr Shaver gave me such outstanding care. He looked me in the eyes, listened to my issues and discussed with me treatment that was spot-on.

It was my first visit so I just expected a brief consultation and a discussion of options or further treatment. Dr. Shaver did a quick ultrasound of my shoulder to rule out any serious injury. He diagnosed bursitis and then gave me a shot of cortisone. I felt relief a few hours later.

I was seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time, great staff and Dr. Shaver did an amazing job with those lovely cortisone shots in both knees.

I have seen Dr. Shaver for shoulder, knee and wrist issues. Each time his approach was thorough and kind. He takes time to really listen and together with his patients finds the right solution. He truly goes above and beyond to treat his patients, both my husband and I see him with ortho related concerns and would highly recommend Dr Shaver.

Doctor Shaver is an absolute wonderful physician. He has done work on my shoulder as well as my knee and will likely be doing my other shoulder soon. The fact that he has equipment right in his office that he can use to see what may be going on before he sends you for an mri is very comforting. He is very professional and takes the time to explain what is wrong and what he is going to do about it.

I was extremely pleased with Dr. Shaver’s surgical skill in repairing my shoulder. He was always attentive to my concerns, provided X-rays at the time of my appointment and tried conservative treatment prior to recommending an arthroscopic procedure. After 3 months of physical therapy and routine follow up visits, I am doing well. He and his staff are all so kind, attentive and professional. Couldn’t have asked for more!

Dr. Shaver was able to test, diagnose, and begin treatment on the very first appointment. He easily treats continual/recurring issues effectively and I have been pain-free for over 18 months. He has a very good "beside" manner. He was able to help with another issue. Appointments are easy to make and he has offices in multiple locations. I am pleased with the treatment from Dr. Shaver and his staff. I highly recommend him!

Purpose was for me to get information to decide for or against proceeding to total knee replacement.

I’ve grown to like Dr. Chris Shaver. He’s attentive and provides a no nonsense approach to his practice. I have some knee issues. He’s carefully explained why I DO NOT need a procedure because I don’t have a “mechanical” problem! So, I see him periodically for steroidal injections (which he’s very good at even tho it’s not fun) which provide relief. If your avoiding a steroid shot to the knee…..don’t! I recommend Chris Shaver and TOC.

Dr Shaver has treated me for the last several years. He Referred me to Dr. Booth for my neck surgery, when I thought it was my shoulder. It was a great success. I’ve seen several doctors at TOC, I highly recommend. Dr Shaver replaced my left knee in 2020. Im now, on the road to a great recovery. My visit on September 21 st was for pain and problems walking on my right knee. He solved my problem, I’m now walking steady, without pain. I highly recommend Dr Shaver. Very informative and always has a treatment plan from beginning to the road to success.

I was in dire pain and after several solutions that did not work my doctor sent me to Dr. Shaver. He is phenomenal. Caring, courteous, and very interested in your pain and how to resolve. The office personnel and the radiologist were awesome. I highly recommend him.

Dr Shaver has treated both of my knees for years. He restored my right knee and fractured shoulder after a skiing accident and more recently he treated my left knee for severe arthritis. I haven’t had a knee replacement yet but it’s inevitable. We are currently using more conservative measures such as injections to control pain. Dr. Shaver listens and is very knowledgeable.

I have had two surgeries by Dr Shaver, a clavicle repair and a knee surgery from a skiing accident. Both surgeries went well I am still healing from my past knee surgery and every time I have a concern or a issue he is always there to assist me. Dr. Shaver quickly and professionally diagnosed my injury and scheduled me for corrective arthroscopic surgery. He was attentive yet took the time to talk with me about the options and used my injury to instruct another less experienced doctor.

Only saw Dr. Shaver after seeing the NP Ryan for a few visits. Will need a knee replacement and Dr. Shaver explained everything and answered any questions. However, his medical assistant Cindy had been RUDE at every appointment I’ve had and on subsequent calls. I’ve never been anything but nice to her so this is apparently her demeanor as I’ve heard from others. I’ve worked with the public/healthcare for 30 years and this is NOT how you treat a patient.

Dr Shaver is friendly, compassionate, and thorough. He doesn’t speak down to the patient but speaks in a manner allowing the patient to understand and ask questions. Great physician.
