Jonathan Thomas Zaidan

I am a Canadian 23 year old girl who has severe Endo. Dr Zaidan is a truly AMAZING Doctor!! I had a 2 year wait where I live for a surgeon who was willing to operate on myself. Within a week of messaging Women's Excellence I had a initial consult and a facetime with Dr Zaidan!! He was amazing he believed me right away and was instantly looking for a date at the soonest opportunity to have my excision surgery!!!. Within a month I had a date and within 3 weeks of that phone call I was in surgery. His team has been amazing to work with and are super helpful and patient. I cannot recommend Dr Zaidan enough I truly believe he is one of the few who does this with his whole heart to help those with Endo. I did not believe I could feel this healthy and happy again with how severe my endo is/was. THANK YOU Dr Zaidan you are truly amazing!!

If I can leave ZERO star I would do it. I am writing this to raise awareness and not to do the same mistake I DID! I started going to Dr. Zaidan MIDDLE of 2020, he is a knowledgeable dr (without a doubt), he has a good bedside manners (especially when you agree to his treatment plan). I came to see him because my regular OBGYN that diagnosed my endo could not help me. He had a promising plan that absolutely would give you relief and that would make you hopeful, that finally someone understands you and could help you because the way he would make it sound to you! He did my 2nd lap in early 2021, he said “hi” to nebefore surgery and that’s about it. After surgery, only the nurse practitioner talked to my husband, what exactly she said that they found few endo, they took care all of it, and that made me happy of course. Unfortunately I went for a follow up visit after 3 weeks of my surgery, Dr. Zaidan told me that he was not able to remove all my endo because I am so inflamed that he could not do it all (what he said, was definitely not what the NP said to my husband, I was devastated). He told me that he wants me to be on hormonal meds (lupron or Zoladex) for 6 months to suppress the endometriosis & come back for another surgery after. And both of that meds are a NO NO! I already was on Orilissa before that caused me so much side effects so I refused, he was not happy at all and from then NEVER HEARD from him or his office. That time, I was curious so I asked people from the group on FB if what are their thoughts about that meds and they mentioned that what Dr. Zaidan told me was almost the same what they told them, some of them went for the meds some of them did not, so to those women refused it, I had read that he got irritated when he was asked with any questions about the meds. If I were you run away from this doctor, join the group on fb called NANCY’S NOOK ENDOMETRIOSIS, do a lot of your research and go to the real ENDOMETRIOSIS SPECIALIST because he is not one of them! I had my 3rd surgery with a LEGIT ENDO SPECIALIST, whatever Zaidan found with my surgery on him was still in there and got even more worst. I am on my 2-month since the surgery, I could tell already the difference! You would wonder why he doesn’t provide any photos from any of the surgery. I got all from my 1st and 3rd without a problem!

I have been a patient at Women's Excellence for years. When I found out I needed surgery Dr. Zaidan's staff were able to set up appointments and get the tests I needed and was able to give me all that information the day I found out, it was such a relief to be able to get all that set. When it came to the surgery Dr. Zaidan cared about not only my health but also my choice for fertility. He asked questions that showed he really cared about me as a patient. I am so glad that he did my surgery because it turned out to be a pretty complex surgery and I feel Dr. Zaidan was the only doctor that could of done that surgery and got everything and really helped me in my recovery after surgery. Dr Zaidan promises hope and change for endometriosis. I had a terrible experience. While he did a great surgery on me, I told him from the very beginning that strong birth controls and hormone therapies were out of the question. They mess with me mentally and physically horribly. He promised me that he would find another birth control that was less strong and would still help after surgery. I went in a 3 months after surgery because I was only offered Zoladex which is extremely strong. I was having horrible pain and needed help from the “amazing doctor who promised hope and to help me” instead I left balling my wyes out. He told me word for word “I gave myself a huge pat on the back because your case was extremely complicated and one of the hardest surgeries I have done. And now? You probably made yourself worse off then before” i was holding back tears while explaining to him that he told me he would find me another birth control option because of my horrendous experience with strong BC like depo. I explained to him how it had made me gain weight, caused more pain then good and that strong birth controls like that really mess with my mental illnesses. That my depression gets extremely bad on them and he told me Zoladex wouldnt be like that and basically blamed me for my endometriosis coming back when if you do any research at all, you know that it comes back regardless. He also had previously put me on estrogen to stop my period that I had, had for several months. Anyone that knows anything about endometriosis knows that endo creates its own estrogen and estrogen feeds endometriosis. He had done a d and c on me a few months after I personally took the Estrogen Nuvaring out because it caused me extreme pain. I was a little loopy after being put under but still confronted him about the estrogen because even my pain doctor remembered from med school that estrogen is not good for endometriosis. He took advantage of me being loopy and changed the conversation. I have found help with a gyno at UofM medicine who agreed about the estrogen. She got me into their pelvic pain and endometriosis clinic which is the best in the state. They are pretty booked (because of how good they are) so I have to wait a few months for my appointment, but am excited to know that dr zaidan is not the only excision specialist in michigan. She also told me that i had an abnormal pap in 2017 which showed no follow up in my records from him. That can be extremely dangerous as an abnormal pap could be cancer. I know he sounds promising, but please stay far away. He should not be called a specialist if he doesnt know the basics. Please please save yourself the money and trouble and find a new doctor. Relieved to find a new OBGYN nearby who has a positive and comforting mannerism after my long-time doctor is now semi-retired. The staff is also pleasant. A+

I saw Dr. Zaidan for the first time today and it was a breath of fresh air! I have been bounced around several doctors and practices over the past 7 months trying to get to the bottom of my pain. I felt as if none of them took me seriously or listened to my concerns. Dr. Zaidan was the complete opposite of that. He spent so much time with me at my appointment thoroughly going over my history and really listening to me when I explained my symptoms. He is the first doctor that I have gone to who makes me feel like a person instead of a number on a chart. He gave me hope that he will help me get to the bottom of my symptoms, instead of just passing me along without any explanation, which is unfortunately what I have encountered with my other doctor visits. My experience at Women's Excellence and with Dr. Zaidan has been phenomenal and I finally feel like I am being heard as a patient! Dr. Zaidan is the first doctor to help me with my stage 4 endo. I will say I wish he was a little bit more considerate when it comes to being worried about different meds or procedures, but I trust he will be able to help me get back to living my life. The main issue I have is his office staff. Good luck ever getting ahold of anyone. When you call everything is automated. There’s no way to get though to ask a real person a medical question unless you call after hours. Tell me how that makes sense! Every time you mention it to them they give you the same response: “use the online portal.” Unreal. I put up with it because he’s a good doctor, but it gets old. Especially when you walk into the office and the receptionist is on the office phone with family members. How do they get a direct number into the office but I can’t? After surgery I received no help and had to send an extremely rude email in order for them to finally call me. Scheduling anything is also a nightmare. Hire new staff!!

My First visit was rushed he was very distracted. He spoke to me as if I was completely uneducated about my disease and seemed annoyed when I asked questions. I did have an Ultrasound, to which his NP afterwords told me I had "a lot going on". When I asked what exactly she said I would need to make an appointment with the DR. So I did. He again seemed to be annoyed I had a list of questions and barely went over the US results. I have decided to go out of state for care to a true excision specialist who was a much better match re bedside manner and thoroughly answered my questions. Having a possible hysterectomy at 39 is a big deal and I just didn't feel comfortable moving forward.

Not able to get an appointment. Tried for over a week to talk to actual person to make my first appointment. On line request, they called back once while I was in the shower. Called back for a full week and all they say is they are behind in calls. The practice may have an amazing reputation, but that doesn't help if you cannot get in to see them.

I met Dr. Zaidan in 2019, after a major surgery discovering my diagnosis of endometriosis. Being in my early 20's, I needed an expert in all things OBGYN, specifically endometriosis. I struggled finding a doctor who shared my concern about endometriosis and had a sense of urgency similar to mine. I took a chance on Dr. Zaidan and was so pleased with our first visit. He listened to me and shared his thoughts about my recent discovery and the medical reports that I provided him with. After that, he immediately wanted to schedule another visit for blood work and an ultrasound. Then, he performed my first exploratory robotic surgery to see what was going on. After that surgery, I went on Zoladex for six months. Another surgery was performed and we discovered that the treatment worked, significantly. I am on another treatment to maintain the progress that we have made. Dr. Zaidan is talented, up to date with research, and passionate.

Dr. Zaidan has saved my life! He is the only dr who didn't give up on me. I have severe endometriosis & when things didn't work he thought outside the box. He gives all the time (you may wait a little but I would rather wait for a dr who actually cares about me then one who I am just a number.) Dr. Zaidan truly cares & has never thought I was faking. He will even tell me a story while getting a painful nerve block to help me get my mind off. He found out my Mom was making a appointment cause she found a lump he stated late that night & saw her that day. And got her into the mammogram the next day. When I told him my brother had a heart attack he tested my blood that day. He just doesn't care about the women parts but you as a patient. I tell him he is a superhero in scrubs. If I didn't find him I would be in a wheelchair. It is not often you find a doctor who actually cares about you & doesn't give up. I went to so many endo specialists & he is the BEST! Ive been going here for over 10yrs. They’ve treated my abnormal pap, endometriosis, I’ve had 4 surgeries and 2 deliveries. Staff is always friendly and listens and cares. I’ve watched these offices grow and expand and seeing dr zaidan succeed has really made me happy. He does this because he cares.

Dr. Zaidan is the best doctor I’ve ever had! A little over a year ago I was suffering with horrible pain every day. He diagnosed my interstitial cystitis and endometriosis and has helped me bring my pain level down almost completely! I have know him since I was 7 when he was providing care for my mother and started going to him in 2015 when pregnant with my daughter. He also has provided amazing care with my endometriosis.

I have been a patient of Dr. Zaidan for just over two years. Dr Zaidan is one of the first doctors who actually listened to me. When I described my pain and told him of my history of endometriosis he was very responsive. I had a surgery to diagnose my endo, then a second excision surgery to remove the endo tissue. I did a 6 month treatment of Zoladex per Dr. Zaidan's recommendation. My experience was a positive one. Since my surgery I have been nearly pain free. Dr Zaiden seems to be a good Dr, but the billing dept will not work with you if there are any issues. Long story short, after 1.5 years trying to get them to bill a few services correctly ( which the insurance company told me was a covered procedure), I've had to pay it, and switch to another Dr. I even told Dr Zaiden himself, but no help at all from him. Sad.

I intend to recommend Dr. Zaidan to any woman that wants the opportunity to be “heard” when it comes to her health. I have been to numerous doctors and by chance someone told me about Women’s Excellance and Dr. Zaidan. The person that referred knew I was ready to give up, and I am so thankful for her attentiveness. I’ve had surgery and doing great, not to mention I feel better overall. I trust Dr. Zaidan 100% plus. I just wish I could have found him sooner, because he is a genius in his field.

Dr. Zaidan is great! Skilled and extremely knowledgeable. He is down to earth and very personable and easy to talk with about any issues you are having as his patient.

BUSY man- Always seemed to be slammed, and it's no wonder... He is truly an awesome OB. I'm not always an easy patient and have a million questions. He always had answers and was very confident, which put me at ease. Despite being busy he always gave me whatever amount of time I needed to ask questions and voice my concerns and I really appreciated it. If I ever do have another baby, I will absolutely make certain he is my OB again. I can't stress enough how caring and thorough he is! A+ doc!

I had never been to a male gynecologist until Dr. Zaidan. I absolutely adore him. He listens to my concerns and answers any questions that I have. He is so caring and is funny and very down to earth. He's a great doctor!!! ????

My journey with Dr. Zaidan is a long story but basically he helped me conceive despite having endometriosis and PCOS. He is amazing and trustworthy. He is the most knowledge physician I have ever seen. I am now in my second pregnancy under his care.

Dr. Zaidan is AMAZING. He is compassionate, understanding and actually CARES about this patients! I had all but given up on the medical profession, was at my wits end with Dr's that were very rude to me and even told me I was crazy! I have Endometriosis and I promise you Dr,.Zaidan has been a gift from above! I cannot recommend him enough! He has saved my life in more ways than one!

Best doctor in the world. I am in my second pregnancy with endometriosis and PCOS. He is amazing and changed my life. I have never trusted a doctor like I trust him. I have an amazing son and I'm looking forward to finding out the gender of this baby. If you have fertility issues you must see Jonathon Zaidan or another provider in his office. He is very thorough and will find a solution for you.

Dr Zaiden has been my doctor for the past 9 years. He is an excellent doctor/surgeon. He is very friendly and really knows his stuff. I would recommend him to anyone I care about and have.

I was diagnosed with Endometrosis when I was 17 years old. I went through many many surgeries and doctors before finding Dr. Zaidan who specializes in the treatment of Endometrosis. He got to work very quickly in getting me pain free-not just pain medication but the surgery and treatments for endo. He listened to me when I felt things were not going right in my body. I am now pain free/endo free after my hysterectomy almost a year ago and I could not be happier. My care with Dr. Zaidan has been beyond my expectations and I am very happy with him and his staff. Dr. Zaidan had a very good personality, which I haven't seen in many doctors in 35 years. He is very interested in curing the illness not just trying to band aid it. ???????????? I'm so tired of doctors that only want to put a band aid over my endometriosis. ??

Dr. Zaidan is AMAZING and the best of the best. He has treated and managed my severe endometriosis and PCOS better and more efficiently than any other doctor I wasted so much time with before him. He is the master at robotic surgery and has taken an "unfixable infertility" label off my record. I am pregnant with my third child and pain free and well managed. I wish there were words for the thanks we have for him and his practice!

I love Dr. Zaidan! He is very compassionate and understanding. I'm past the baby delivering years but dealing with menopausal issues. The wait is a little long but everyone gets his undivided attention, as everyone's situation is different. He's worth the wait! I never had issues with the staff. I have been seeing Dr. Zaiden for close to 18 years, I have have several procedures with him and I trust him without fail. I am about to have a TLH thus ending all the issues with my fibroid's, endometriosis and just plain torture of the female reproductive system. I admit I am nervous about my new journey but not about putting my well being in his capable hands.

The wait time was a little longer than I liked, but I have come to expect that, especially at an ob/gyn. When he came in the exam room (after roughly 30 minutes- the whole time in an exam gown) he was very attentive and nice. He listened thoroughly and very clearly tried to make me feel comfortable. He has a great bedside manner.

I used to always recommend this office because a Natural Family Planning doctor was part of their practice. Now I don't. I have no complaints about medical care, as each doctor was very nice, and competent. My complaints are with the unprofessional way in which I was billed and the rudeness of billing staff. I have paid deposits at other OB offices, and have never had so many problems with confusing billing, missing billing statements, and conflicting statements on policies.

Dr. Zaidan is the best. All the doctors at Women's Excellence are. by far, the best doctors I've ever seen. Dr. Zaidan listens, understands and is very experienced.

Dr Zaidan and his staff have been my choice for over 20 years. Consistently caring, with solutions for the problems I was experiencing. I highly recommend this practice! The CNPs are also excellent, as well as support staff.

Dr. Zaidan delivered our second baby. When I arrived at the hospital after my water broke I told him I just wanted the process to happen naturally and he was all for it. He was pleasant, friendly, and professional through the whole thing, and I delivered at 4am. He even came back to check on me after I switched to the mother/baby unit, which is something that didn't happen with my other 2 deliveries.
